Ursäkta May's family had recently been contacted by some sort of important business woman about organizing with other farms across Concord Dawn to establish a supply union. The Miralian farmgal was not entirely sure what all that meant, but her pa had said it might be worth taking a look into and let her go 'represent' the Wandersun family's interest--or more like their idle curiosity. Her family could handle the farm for a day without her, and she would not decline an opportunity to trek into the Big City.
Salliche Agriculture Corporation was scouting this oft-ignored planet out for some seemingly promising development in its respective industry, claiming it could increase local growers' profits with subsidies and nearly-guaranteed purchasing of larger quantities in demanded produce on a consistent basis. The pros outweighed the cons at a glance, but Mister Wandersun was wise enough to not jump in head-first. Though perhaps he was not wise enough to go himself instead of sending his rather uneducated daughter to check out the deal.
It seemed the corporate representatives had arrived in their rather shiny trasnport, and Ursäkta May spent quite a bit of time gawking at the foreign vessel before actually setting foot up the boarding ramp and into the rather cushy-looking lobby. If only she could have one of these! Her dusty desert cloak set her plainly apart from the more industrial and classy furnishings of the docked ship's interior.
"Ah'm hare tuh meet the kuhmpany people abaowt sellin' our harvests," the farmer announced unprompted to the secretary, eyes beaming proudly as she felt all official and savvy being here. She was going to do some real-life business talk!
