Description:
In light of the adventurous mentoring nature of the Jedi, and taking into account that the grounds of the Silver Jedi are such as to fight evil regularly, it is imperative that they upgrade their fleet capability. In order to do this, EIC has taken it upon themselves to design a new line of vessels for use by the Order. Taking into mind the concept of forward thinking, and a willingness to fight, the Mentor-class stands vertical rather than long, creating a large forward surface for mounting of weapons, which in turn gives it a brutal forward firing arc against enemy fleets that it engages. The downside to this is a similar lessening of armaments on the side and rear of the ship.
In order to compensate for the large target the ship makes, and the lack capability of defending its rear and sides in the manner it can its front, advanced shielding systems were installed. The heavy armament and shielding in turn make the ship slower than most vessels of its size class. The armament and shielding make up for this slow nature.
