Ehud

Huxymebbeh.png

NAME: Ehud
FACTION: Bryn'adûl
RANK: Seer
SPECIES: Draelvisier- Baedurin (Clone)
AGE: 5
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 7'7'' (hunched), 10'1'' (straightened)
WEIGHT:
EYES: Cloudy Gold
HAIR: N/A
SKIN: Dappled dull red and muted blue
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes, Dark-Side Skewed

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
+Know Your Enemy: Ehud understands the average galactic citizen better than the average Drael. He's a reader, and has studied various ways of life, philosophies, and religions, and while still believing his people to be the best, he incorporates the beliefs of other cultures into his own. He does not view himself as superior to other races, and that lets him look at situations with a level head.
+Know How: Ehud understands battle in only the way a true Draelvasier could, valuing brutality and shock. But because of his thirst for knowledge, and interest in other cultures, he can mold the rest of the galaxy's brighter ideas into his own strategies.
+Know The Force: Unlike many of his fellow Baedurin, Ehud is strong with the Force. This trait is the only thing that has kept him alive and useful to his kin so far. Of course, this comes with a natural limitation: Ehud cannot learn telekinesis, no matter how hard he tries.
=Know Yourself: Ehud isn't like the average Bryn'adûl warrior, or even the average Seer. He does not hold many of his people's traditions and rituals in very high regard. He had to fight to get where he is now, and is still seen as weak by his people as a result. He is still seen as useful, which is why he is still alive, but the second that stops being so, or he angers the wrong person, he is likely to be executed.
-Know Weakness: All his knowledge on war, government, and religion, even the Force, cannot make up for his physical deformities. His weak back and blurry eyes keep him from being any kind of bruiser, like the rest of the Baedurin. He is also likely to have a far shorter lifespan than the rest of the Drael.
-No Consistency: Ehud is a Draelvasier, who has grown up being taught that his people were the rightful rulers of the galaxy. Over his (admittedly short) life, he has seen that this is not always the case. While he still views the Bryn'adul as an inevitability, he is no zealot, and his loyalties could change under the right circumstances.

APPEARANCE:
This hulk of corded muscle, muted reptilian skin, and long, thick claws is a marvel to most of the galaxy. While standing straight up, he just barely reaches over ten feet tall, his dim golden eyes squinting at those beneath him. His jaws are teeming with fangs, not able to be contained by his mouth, giving him an eternal curling smile.

But when he is not trying to intimidate, when he lets himself relax, does his true form show. He hunches down, severe scoliosis arching his back at 7'7''. At that height, his smile is more of a grimace of pain, his muscles more strained, his skin bunching in places.

Ehud often wears robes of muted colors; brown, grey, black, but supplements this with rings and amulets of gold. To complete the look, while not on the field of battle, in peaceful places, he breaks out the reading glasses, which perch comically on his snub nose.

PERSONALITY:
Ehud is not a brute.

Not in the same sense as the other Bryn'adûl, at least. They are a people of violence, xenophobic warriors that would crush the weak underfoot and uplift only the strong. In that way, Ehud believes they limit themselves purposefully, existing only in a world of combat and strategy, of the hunt and the kill. Ehud will have none of it.

Ehud will not coddle you. He will not apologise to you. Mistakes will be punished. He will push you to be your best, and will take any measures to make you the best you can be. The weak are not to be cast aside. They are to be cultivated, like he was, until a purpose is found. This includes non-Drael, as all things, weak or strong, can have value, whether they know it, or even want it.

Because of these beliefs, Ehud has been exposed to many of the cultures of the galaxy. He's studied Jedi texts, the histories of the Sith, the dirty politics of republic after empire after republic, and pulls tidbits of knowledge from the minds of all of the above. He has absorbed much of what he has learned, and sees the honor, the strength, in them.

But his greatest passion is learning. He loves nothing more than to sit down with a good book, glasses over his face, and lose himself in another's words. While he only speaks Draevasier and Basic, he reads many more languages, and will absorb it all with the hunger of a thousand Draeyde Bats. Knowledge is power, his people know this. They just forget that there is more to knowledge than tactics. There is more to power than strength.

Sometimes, all it takes is an idea.

BIOGRAPHY:
Like most Draelvasier, Ehud was cloned.

He didn't consider [member="Tathra Khaeus"] his father, or any sort of familial relationship. No such thing exists in Drael culture. Nonetheless, Ehud certainly stood out like a sore thumb from his progenitor, and often felt like the estranged son of his race.

When he had first been spawned, his caretaker assessed his deformed genetics, his back that bowed at an odd angle, his eyes that didn't focus correctly, and correctly assumed he was deficient. The caretaker injected him with a poison to kill the infant, and continued on. Imagine their's surprise when they returned to the still-living child, the poison burned from it's veins with the Force.

Ehud chose not to die.

This would become a theme in the bowed Baedurin. After that encounter, Ehud's true potential, as a seer, was divined, and his training in the Force began. In a culture where physical perfection was nearly paramount, the bulky young Draelvasier with a hunched back and cloudy eyes was easy pickings. He was surrounded by Aeravalin, a type of Draelvasier that conidered themselves so far above him, and his brutish brothers of the Baedurin, who saw him as a useless sack of meat. Ehud knew he had to become strong to survive. So he did.

While his people warred, while the seers learned to peer through the veils of wisdom, Ehud began scavenging what literature he could. He would convince warriors to bring him back datapads, written scripture, that the Drael could learn from. He began to learn of the Force, this thing that was so much more than what the seers taught, with so many sides that Ehud couldn't keep track. He finally realized; he was being stifled by his own people.

He began his own training, through his, admittedly small, selection of readings and studies. He learned of Jedi, of Sith, of Witches and the Grey and the Dark and the Light. There was so much to learn, so much to integrate into his own lessons as a seer. As he learned to peak through the Vale, he also learned to quiet his mind, to flare his passions, and to circumvent his own weaknesses with the Force. He found a talent with the pulling of minds. Where a Jedi might place an idea in the head of a weaker being, or a Sith might twist it to their design, Ehud would pull it apart, and analyze the pieces.

These studies came into full effect during the infancy of the Draelvasier, when the various tribes skirmished against each other on Draemidus Prime. His tribe, a protectorate of a far larger group, had been sent on the front lines against a foe clearly their superior. Ehud knew they would be defeated, and with them, him. Unless he did something. He gathered all the seers and shamans to him, and convinced them to lend him their power. With their assistance, he performed the first ever recorded use of Battle Meditation by a Draelvasier, ensuring that his people lasted long enough to drive off the opposition.

His skills, his diverse training, has earned him more power than many of his former peers. He is now too strong to ignore, too powerful to be bullied. And too strange to be respected
