STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
- Skilled Pilot - Edwin started as a fighter pilot (and earned the moniker 'Duke' there) and has never lost his deft touch while in the cockpit. It's not a skill he gets to practice much anymore, of course.
- Competent Officer - Edwin's military career was largely unexceptional but the man is no stranger to command and he has a firm grasp of tactics. He's not truly a big fan of command, and prefers to be in the cockpit acting like a daredevil half his age.
- Charismatic - Edwin has a charming manner, even when in command of a ship, and is an easy man to get along with. This combined with his basic competence have made it so those who have served under him in the past have found him to be a good commanding officer. It also makes it easier to ignore the 'uncharacteristic' moments.
- Too Confident - While he has a pair of significant military victories under his belt, the truth is Edwin is not half as brilliant as he thinks he is, nor is he nearly quite so charming or wise. But he's gotten this far in life thinking he is, and it's probably too late for anyone to tell him.
- Man of Vice - Edwin has a taste for the high life, and is very used to getting what he wants, whether it be money, women, or something else. While not overtly malicious, much of his preferences are probably not good for someone ostensibly leading the fight for freedom and justice.
An older man, but the product of good genetic engineering and an active lifestyle, Edwin is fairly handsome and in shape, and generally sports an impressive mustache. Having money and power helps with attractiveness too, of course.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born into a life of luxury as part of the venerable and wealthy Mad-Thane family, Edwin grew up Centares always seeking excitement in his life. He entered the Naval Academy and passed with top scores thanks to his natural wit, charm, and more than a little greasing of palms. Spent years as a fighter pilot blah blah
Eventually ended up in a command position and oversaw the destruction of a notorious pirate group in a pair of linked battles. Riding high on the glory, he retired from the service and went into business for his family. Dabbled in politics briefly before fading from public view. Then in the wake of the Silver Jedi collapse he found himself reactivated to lead a military squadron, a position that quickly merged with the formation of the MPTC Fleet.
Now has to deal with the fact that he's expected to be a brilliant tactician but his last combat experience was a decade ago. Will flesh out more later. Maybe.

Being rather wealthy, Edwin bought himself a used Baudo-class Star Yacht that he named the Claimh Solais.
