Specifics are what is needed. You can't just say "I want something to be better so hey presto it's better" without saying what they did to make it better. HOW do the blasters shoot faster? WHY are the computers bigger?

Got it. Through researching the mechanics of a blaster, I have not found out exactly what would make one faster so unless I invent a mechanism for myself (which I will not), it is impossible. I've taken out the parts about weapons and included that large computers were used to maintain security and utilities withing large cities.
