SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
  • Green Energy & Self Sustaining: The Eden BioDome stations are self-sustaining through a variety of green energy methods like solar energy, wind, and algae production. There are large hydroponic gardens that are tended by PharmaTech and local overseers for sustenance of the population. This is a pioneer in being able to use the technology of old and provide sustainable energy through the collection of Dark Energy, its refinement into Quintessence, and distribution. While this is only as powerful as your typical hyper matter or antimatter reactor in terms of energy, it is a venue that brings forth a stepping stone for the future of cheap, sustainable energy.
  • Safety is paramount: A magnetic field, along with a thermal oscillator, and finally, a ray shield was set in place to protect the harvest in the event of a critical event. Electronics are sprayed with Plastiray, a substance that can provide impressive insulation and increased resistance to electricity, EMP, and Ion weaponry. If it were to explode, the resulting set protocols would immediately shut down any collection of Dark energy and the conversion process. Any explosion would be intended to be caught behind the layers of protection and shielding to protect the sapients around it.
Weaknesses:
  • Weaker Hull: The materials that the Eden Biodome Station are made out of are of standard components. This means that it has a weaker hull.
  • Better safe than sorry: Safety is paramount that MaraTibx ensured a proper rotation of harvesting, refining, and then energy output for the Quintessence. The safety precaution levels for emergency shut down are higher than your standard hypermatter or antimatter reactor. This means that tolerances typical for a hypermatter or anti-matter reactor are still considered too high for a Quintessence Harvester reactor. As such, if energy tolerances were to reach 80%, all systems immediately start the process of shut down. It will take at least twenty-four hours before it will be able to reactivate again. During this time, if the reactor reaches a critical stage, it will automatically flush out the heat for a restart at different venting points out into space much like any typical emergency procedure for a reactor.
  • Mandatory cool down time: The Quintessence Harvester must have a mandatory shut off time of at least twenty-four hours to ensure that it stays within tolerance levels once a month for maintenance. During this period, secondary power systems must be utilized to ensure a seamless transition of energy use. ( like solar, wind, geothermal, or other viable types of sustainable energy depending on location and resources available).
Description:

The Eden BioDome stations were created to make the most out of the new BDE - Planck Redistributor. The Eden BioDome stations are self-sustaining through a variety of green energy methods like solar energy, wind, and algae production. There are large hydroponic gardens that are tended by PharmaTech and local overseers for sustenance of the population. But most importantly, is the redistributor. This provides sustainable energy through the collection of Dark Energy, its refinement into Quintessence, and distribution. While this is only as powerful as your typical hyper matter or antimatter reactor in terms of energy, it is a venue that brings forth a stepping stone for the future of cheap, sustainable energy.

Starport, Hangers, and Shipyards

The Eden BioDom Stations offer a vast network that consisted of hundreds of fully-enclosed, multi-level modules that were connected by a series of girders and other support structures such as power conduits, waste disposal vents, and other such engineering necessities. There are also smaller shipyards for Haven Shipyards.

Residential and Commerical Modules

It also contained a vast number of residential modules for station personnel, entertainment modules that included cantinas and other commercial venues, docking modules that contained hangar bays for incoming and outgoing starships, as well as small docks for inter-station shuttles. As an aid to navigation, each module was given a numerical designation appended to its type.

Eden Project Biodome

There also an Eden Project Biodome ring within the Station. It contains a headquarters, separate hanger spaces, residential sectors, and finally the research and development facilities that also include the numerous modules devoted to biochemical hydro-agriculture. Each Module has a varying amount of aquaphonics, but each are treated with care and concern. These fields, orchards, and hydro-agricultural plots are serviced by Ho'din, Ithorian, and Morodin horticulturalists, alongside other sapients with a passion for the Eden Project.

The Eve Foundation

Most Recently, this is a base of operations for humanitarian aid along with The Eve Foundation.Eve Foundation focuses most of its current resources is the supply of Disaster Relief, Hospice Care, and of course Humanitarian Aid. The Foundation provides Disaster Relief to planets and systems around the entire galaxy. It serves to assist planets and systems that cannot help themselves, sending aid to worlds which have seen great damage through either natural disaster or those created by man. In the latter case, when The Eve Foundation heads into a war zone the company is assisted by elements of Saeva Incorporated, ensuring that the doctors and aid Workers of Eve are kept safe while doing their jobs within war zones.

It also provides Hospice Care to those unable to normally afford it. The providing of Hospice Care to those who require it is a primary idea behind The Eve Foundation, allowing those who cannot afford medical care and those who may be terminally ill to visit an Eve Foundation hospital to be treated by expert physicians.

It also provides Humanitarian Aid around the galaxy. This operation is designed to aid the poor and needy of the galaxy, utilizing the large amount of ships supplied by Vanir Technologies to deliver food, water, building supplies, and everything else necessary for survival around the galaxy.

There are a few concerns of course. Safety is paramount that the staff ensures a proper rotation of harvesting, refining, and then energy output for the Quintessence.

In the event of an emergency that requires evacuation, the modules of the Eden Biodome stations are able to break apart into stand alone emergency vehicles. The unique method of gathering power from various origins, to include solar, wind, and Salacia Consolidated patented methods allow for each module to maintain enough power for emergency evac. Repulsors are fitted to these modules so that they may stay in atmosphere without the risk of crashing down. There is no central power-grid, as each module may be individually powered in the event of this emergency.

Honestly, I copied and pasted the civilian platform cookie cutter template. I still get confused about how defenses work so since I wasn't sure I left it exactly like the Template had it.

Can you help me understand what is wrong with it since I copied the cookie cutter sheet believing it was ok?

Of course.

Civilian Space Stations do not hold any room for squadrons, as in fighter/bomber/interceptor squadrons, basically anything that would turn this from a civilian-geared installation to a military one.

That means that your Squadron count is 0, because it doesn't have any of them.

I think the cookie cutter template simply has a mistake in it and I will bring it up with the other judges, thank you!

Oh okay, thank you for explaining.

I added the following:

Hangar: Non-Military Vehicles & bays to dock with ships.

Excellent. Last thing, then I can stamp this, your hyperspace rating is currently at 1. The standard for civilian space stations is actually no hyperdrive at all, with anything beneath 4 requiring development.

Another mistake in the cookie cutter template that will be sorted out.

Can you please up your hyperspace rating to 4?

Then this will be good to go.
