STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Duelist(+): Amongst their peers, Edaline was one of the better duelists, mastering the blade and multiple saber styles, making for a versatile style able to be applied across the board to different combat situations
Force dead(+,-): they've found this to both be a blessing and a curse. Due to being force dead, Edaline cannot be sensed by force users. This allows for successful surprise attacks and ambushes, which make up for the lack of force powers. However, they are completely cut off from the force, unable to sense or use it.
Knowledge(+): While no longer able to make use of it, Eda still remembers the Sith ways, and how the force powers work, allowing them to exploit any weakness or opening their opponent shows.
Tendrils(+): A natural ability for all Mikkians, their head tendrils are highly sensitive, able to sense things such as humidity, temperature, magnetic direction, and radiation. This radiation detection is sensitive enough that Mikkians can "see" light and dark, although their eyes are still their primary visual organs. Edaline's head of tentacles is no different. They also use these tentacles to hear.
Helpless(-): Should a Mikkian lose their tentacles, it would be a major blow, as it would render them partially blind and completely deaf until the tendrils grow back. Thus, Edalyn must always prioritize protection of the top of their head.
Not what they once were(-): Unfortunately, without the force, Edaline is subject to gravity, amongst other things. While still limber and acrobatic, They're unable to do the large flips and jumps a force user would be able to make use of, leaving them grounded. They are also unable to deflect projectiles as easy, the force sensitivity needed to do that being long gone. Their overall lightsaber combat prowess has suffered as a result.
APPEARANCE:
Standing at 5'5 with a lithe androgynous form, it's often hard to tell what gender Edaline is, or if they have one at all. Teir skin is a unique color of turquoise, with grey tips at the end of the tentacles. An angular face contains details matching the grey tips, such as grey lips, and two grey tattoos, one over they eye and one on their forehead. Their light blue eyes shine with a certain mischief while sharp jagged teeth fit together in a perfect puzzle, making a trademark smug grin. Edaline loves various shiny objects, and is therefore always adorned with various rings or jewelries.
BIOGRAPHY:
Not much is known of Edaline's early life. They were but a slave taken into the sith academy when force sensitivity was discovered. Before that, they were no one. wanting to make a better life for themselves, they dedicated themselves to the academy, never wanting to lose freedom again. Edaline did everything in their power to keep from returning to slavery. This fear is what fueled their power in the dark side. Anger, desperation, it made them a force to be reckoned with as they travelled up in the academy pecking order. Of course, their crafty ways also aided in their survival. Edaline was far from the most powerful sith at the academy, amongst the students or otherwise. They always had a plan to make up for their weaknesses, constantly exploiting the weakness of their foes to come out victorious, for it was victory or death.
The lords at the academy eventually had their eyes drawn to Edaline. While not the most potent of the apprentices in force power, they were still out performing said apprentices by a decent margin. Their dueling skills were already something to be feared, and they knew how to read and exploit weaknesses the moment they appeared in their foe. The ability to sense and crush weakness was a desired trait in an apprentice. It wasn't long before a lord took up the role of teaching them.
Most of their training was force focused, and was grounded in using fear and pain in order to make them learn their powers proficiently. Edaline hated every moment. Every force lightning shock, every lightsaber wound, every force choke. But they learned as time went on, and with that time, fear turned to rage. Rage turned to treachery. By the time Edaline was in their twenties, they were amongst the most successful of the academy graduates. However, they got the title of sith lord differently from the others. The title of lord was given after their master's head rolled. It's not exactly known how it was done. There was a meeting of lords their master's fortress. A gathering to talk about the ongoing and politics of the empire. Covered in blood, Edaline sat in their master's seat at the discussion table, drawing angered and irritated looks from the lords in attendance. Edaline simply stated, "My master is otherwise...occupied. Forever." Guards were sent to check and sure enough, the sith cycle of master and apprentice had been fulfilled.
Edaline took their master's place amongst the lords, and took up their former master's lightsaber as a trophy. as theirs had been broken in the battle where their master perished. From there on proceeded to be what Edaline considered the glory days. Treasure, conquest, riches, luxury, and glory in victory as they enacted the will of the emperor. However, not all good things last. It all began with a missing patrol, a sith lord amongst them.
Edaline went to investigate. The group had gone silent on Felucia, yet their distress beacon was still pinging. Eda doesn't remember much of what happened after the landing. Other than being of pale skin and burning eyes seared into their memory. It attacked from the darkness like a jungle predator. Be it a cruel twist of fate, they woke up before something came along to finish them off. The others had not been so lucky. However...something felt different. It wasn't long before Eda discovered what it was. They were cut off from the force, completely. They faked their death then and there on Felucia with a charred body, adorned by jewelry everyone knew them to wear. Eda knew they were now defenseless, and the only option was to play dead. For the duration, while they looked for a solution, they would have to find other venues of employment.
