Not open for further replies.
Intent: To create a drug that temporarily unlocks greater brain processing and memory capacity for increased battlefield performance.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: ECHO Esprit
Model: ECHO END1C17 Neurostim Neicivo
Affiliation: The Republic
Modularity: Chemical composition and potency, provided more Factory work is done
Production: Mass-produced
Material: Portaak Amber; Phosovane Salts; Rethen; Haladreshin; Vivatherin; Adrenals; Gylocal
Description: Produced with the struggling Republic army (particularly, the newly conceived Dreadguard) in mind, Neurostim Neicivo (Brand name: Nura-N) will hopefully become a gamechanger for infantrymen in the war to come.

Nura-N is a neurological stimulant that greatly enhances mental and physical function, exciting neuron flow and triggering the utilization of the brain’s memory locations rarely tapped, as well as increasing aggression and pain tolerance in the user. This allows the user to have quicker processing power, more depth of memory, and extraordinary reflexes and resolve during its effect period--all without the need for potentially compromised cybernetics.

Due to its ability to incite maximum performance from the body, it is imperative that the user allow an approximately two-day interlude between injections of Nura-N. Side effects may include migraines, short-term memory loss for up to one week, and extreme fatigue. Over-frequent use may result in long-term or permanent damage to the brain and pituitary glands.

Formed in tiny, clear gel cylinders, Nura-N cannot be administered to the patient until electrically charged, making this drug easy to store and safe to handle without fear of breaking the container or directly contaminating the chemical makeup (thanks to the Portaak Amber). Each gel ‘drum’ measures in with a height of 3mm and a radius of 3mm.

To properly administer Nura-N, the gel ‘drums’ must be singularly inserted into an electrically-charged syringe. When the electric charge is activated upon insertion of syringe into the patient’s bloodstream, the Rethen and Phosovane Salts conduct and excite the entire compound, breaking down the Nura-N ‘drums’ and releasing them into the patient’s body in liquid form.

Average effect duration per gel drum (based on studies with humans and wookiees):
  • Human - 22 minutes
  • Wookiee - 16 minutes
Projected fatality dosage (if administered within 48 standard hours):
  • Human - 9 gel drums
  • Wookiee - 13 gel drums

Neurostim Neicivo is not available to civilians.

I have two questions at the moment, might have more later.

"Modularity: With science" - Elaborate on that in your description, what can be added, changed, modified. Go in as deep as ya want, but at least give me a few pointers here.

And you mention something about the Dreadguard, please elaborate on that too.

It can be chemically altered. Chemists/pharmacists could, in theory, do whatever they want with the drug's formula.

Not sure why the Dreadguard is important. It was just a bit of lore background, but the drug is not exclusive to them.

Right, so I will need limits on how this thing could be altered and perhaps enhanced, perhaps mentioning that any alteration would need to be put through the factory standard for overview.

Other than that, I like the general idea, also a neat way to avoid getting your troops mechu-deru'ed all too much.

You put some solid side effects in it, checks out with the company you have. Just remember that this sort of thing basically overclocks a body over it's capacity, this can have severe consequences in the long run, if it's taken regularly.

Make a note outta this and I will stamp it.
