Description

The EBA-T Module is, quite literally, the modernization of an archaic product. Centuries ago, during the Clone Wars era, Arakyd Industries produced and circulated an upgrade that could be applied to blaster pistols. This upgrade was known as the 97R Enhanced Blaster Actuating Module. Its function revolved around increasing overall stopping power and penetrative strength of the weapon upon which it was equipped. Of course, such augmentation to a blaster's strength was not without its drawbacks, but this did not deter bounty hunters and soldiers alike from eagerly purchasing this upgrade by the crate.

In the modern era, Arakyd Industries adapted this exceptional concept to its new line of "laser based", blaster weaponry. Upon installation, the EBA-T module introduces a powerful, eletromagnetic accelerator into the weapon's makeup. This accelerator harnesses the energy provided by the blaster's power cell and augments its pace rapidly, resulting in a greater charge of the gain medium. This, in turn, results in an even greater release of photons in the form of a coherent bolt. By the numbers, the EBA-T module increases the stopping power and penetrative strength of a weapon it is applied to by approximately twenty-five percent.

However, this increase in performance comes at a cost.

As is the case with all actuating modules, usage of the Talon results in the danger of damage being wreaked upon the weapon. This is due to the fact that a blaster's components are specifically designed to handle the default levels of energy produced by its various parts. As such, augmenting the energy level in any way poses the risk of introducing internal stress; which can result in grievous damage to the weapon and the loss of functionality. Furthermore, the EBA-T Module essentially sacrifices one trait for augmenting another. Weapons utilizing this upgrade will enjoy greater stopping power, but at the sacrifice of overall range. By the numbers, the loss in range is directly proportionate to the increase in strength (25%).

Despite these drawbacks, the EBA-T Module affords customers the ability to raise the stopping power of their favorite, Arakyd Industries armaments and is guaranteed to turn a good blaster into an exceptional one. Satisfaction, as always, is guaranteed!
