Ord Janon...

Catalys inhaled before donning his helmet. The advanced armour he wore was defensible, made primarily out of Cortosis and could even save his skin from the end of a lightsaber. However; where he was going still didn't sit well with him. Orders from above came and the agent was sent to Ord Janon. Here there was intelligence suggesting that a mercenary group had been supplying weapons to insurgencies throughout Primeval space. The planet was once an ordinance depot and many of its secrets were left untouched for centuries.

Whatever weapons these mercenaries have found, whoever hired them; that is what Catalys intended to find out.

"We're landing about a klick west of the cache. Our sensors did not pick up any unusual activities but it seems the intel was right; there's something here." The Caisson-class starship touched down in a small canyon just a short distance from their destination.

"I'll be maintaining radio silence until the job is done." His voice was coarser than usual, the agent was getting sick. It was a common symptom from traveling often and becoming exposed to various illnesses all whilst your immune system was weakened by stress. Despite the medical advancements of the modern galaxy, such luxuries as medicine were not available to an agent on the go. Not that he was worried.

"Understood. Just give the orders and we'll come in hot." The ship's captain dropped the landing ramp. A small squadron of troops exited the starship and secured the landing site around them. So far so good.

With the zone secured, Catalys walked down the ramp; armed only with a PAR rifle he intended to travel light.

Cal'diira followed the agent, remaining silent. If the agent wasn't going to be speaking, then he didn't need to either. He checked his slugthrower again, though he had been checking it while he was travelling in the dropship. If someone had been watching him during his inspections, they could make the assumption that he was paranoid.

Which, to be honest, he was.

He wasn't used to covert operations like this. He had done things like hunting animals and such before, but none of this military feth. That being said, he didn't care about the nature of the mission, so long as he survived and there were credits for him at the end of it. The Trandoshan looked to the agent, awaiting orders.

Catalys continued through the canyon, the narrowing passage continued to become tighter to the point that they'd almost have to walk single file due to the amount of boulders and other debris blocking the path. In the corner of his eye he was able to detect movement and instinctively brandished his weapon towards the direction before hunkering down behind a large rock. He waved his hand for the bounty hunter to get low with him before double-checking the condition of his weapon whilst keeping a watch on their flank.

"I don't think we were spotted but I'm quite certain there's a sentry just around the corner." He gestured toward the general direction where the canyon twisted towards their destination.

With his weapon checked he locked disabled the safety and peaked over the rock, placing the barrel steadily along a flatter area of its surface for added stability when firing. With their path clear, for now, he quietly climbed over the rock and crouched his way towards the corner and made another gesture for the Trandoshan to hug the wall opposite him. If they're lucky Catalys could get eyes on the guy and gesture when for his companion to silently take him out.

Cal'diira quietly followed the agent over the rock, and at his gesture, he hugged the wall opposite to Catalys. He watched the agent, awaiting orders. He didn't have to wait long, for Catalys signaled after about thirty seconds. The bounty hunter crouched, and brandished his vibroblade, before slowly creeping up behind the sentry in their path. With one quick movement, he moved one of his clawed hands to cover the sentry's mouth, while the other thrusted the vibroblade through their chest. The stab wasn't as powerful with one arm, and as such the sentry began to struggle. This attempt was then silenced by Cal'diira quickly breaking the sentry's neck. He took his sword back from the man's body, and dragged the body back behind some rocks, to hide it. He kicked some sand over the blood, hoping that it would hide it enough to proceed without others finding traces of the once patrolling sentry. He moved back to where Catalys was waiting for him, and signalled the all-clear.

The swift work was remarkable for a Bounty Hunter. Of course there was the occasional kill mission but usually it was better pay taking someone alive, a bit of ruthlessness did show in the way he broke the sentry's neck when the stab wound wasn't enough. It took a lot of guts to do what was necessary and Catalys respected that. With their guard taken care of, the two would be able to move in closer to their destination without the risk of them waiting for the duo.

When Cal'diira retreated back towards his position, Catalys moved out with his companion. The path they followed lead back into a wider portion of the Canyon and the cliffs began to become shorter and shorter as the elevation evened out into a valley. They weren't too far from where they needed to be and already the view of a large compound could be seen hazily off in the horizon. His weapon armed and ready, once more the agent took a crouching position and crept closer to a potential barrier. The only thing better at stopping bullets than armour was a natural barricade to hide behind. Who knows how long they'd be there, better save your armour for when things get close and gritty.

Looking back to the Trandoshan, Catalys quickly thought up another plan. "Alright. First we need to know how many guards we're dealing with, then we need to silence the patrols before striking the sentries. Once we've cleared a path we'll rush into the building guns blazing." It wasn't the best plan and the agent wouldn't be surprised if the Bounty Hunter had a few adjustments of his own, to which he wouldn't mind the criticism... With their lives on the line it wasn't like he'd be upset when someone potentially saves their lives by making the plan just a bit better than before.

Cal'diira shook his head at Catalys' plan. Killing everyone outside would hardly help keep their cover. However, it wouldn't hurt to eliminate some of the guards. There was one bit that he agreed with wholeheartedly; the fact that they needed to survey the base before taking any action. He slung his slugthrower off of his back, and propped it against the rocks.

"I don't think killing everyone is going to help us with maintaining stealth. We should still survey the compound, find some gaps in the patrols, and maybe take out the people in the watchtowers. I think I have a silencer for my slugthrower, so we should be able to do it from a distance without much trouble. After the watchtower people are gone, I don't think that we will be very easy to spot. We should easily be able to slip between the cracks without many issues."

After he finished speaking, he found the aforementioned silencer and began to put it on his slugthrower rifle, awaiting Catalys' input.

The experienced agent couldn't help but agree. Of course; he didn't have a silencer like the Trandoshan but the input was sound regardless.

"Alright, we'll do it your way." It wasn't so much distaste. The Umbaran just didn't like to be outwitted in planning, but then again he wasn't exactly a tactician -- he was an infiltrator, an assassin, but more importantly a good distraction.

With their plans set it seemed they could move forward. He already noticed his companion attaching the silencer and whilst he did that Catalys scanned the area for what guards he could see. He noticed two patrolling as a pair towards the left and by the time the Trandoshan had finished they disappeared around the corner. Unless they doubled back he estimated the patrol wouldn't come back around for another twenty minutes.
