Two years had passed since he had entered the Jedi Academy under the Silver Sanctum Coalition of Voss, there he had met with Teynara Jeralyr, his mentor for the short duration until she'd been called away and Karrus had been informed that she would no longer be instructing him. He had found a couple of friends there and about, one of them Ryn' who was arguably one of the more curious that the boy had met in his life though he made Karrus laugh and the two had gotten along well despite the rather large age difference. Karrus wondered if he had received his ascension to Knighthood and that's why the two had rarely heard from one another of late; he could only really hope to guess anymore.

The Jedi Academy wasn't quite what he'd expected it to be, though it was a far better life than the one he'd lived on Eriadu, mostly solitude in the lower dirtier levels of the planet's city-scape. It was just the people, there were so many of them and everyone that he did actually get to talk to seemed to disappear for weeks on end even though they all lived under the same roof, Karrus just struggled to keep up with it all. Fortunately for Karrus however, Teynara had told him that he was welcome to explore and if the life didn't suit him or if it got too much he could take a break and settle for something a little less...-Chaotic.

Over the weeks he'd been getting more and more anxious about the expectations of his lesson tutors and just genuinely trying to fit in, when Teynara was taken away it seemed as though the only consistently caring face that had been there for him had been stolen away taking some of the joy with it. Still so young and lacking the confidence to step out within the center of hundreds to make a place for himself, it all seemed so much easier to walk away, having so many expectations of self-failure.

---------------
Days later...
---------------
The air-speeder came to a slow halt, parking itself within the commercial transportation agency which saw to the comings and goings of civilian life. Karrus held a single pack strapped over one shoulder, exiting the vessel amongst the others who seemed to shove and push each other to get off in such a wonderful hurry, the fresh air would be the biggest relief to the boy, that and the warmth of the son as he finally found his feet on solid ground and stood there gazing around uncertainly. He'd chosen a ticket to a place he couldn't rightly remember what the name of it was, strangely enough it hadn't and still did not bother him as he found himself surrounded by air lanes and the streets that personnel used to walk from place to place. A new world, a new city to explore and to get himself caught up in trouble all over again, while the latter was daunting, the open city felt far more of a home than any academy did what with all the book work and stuff. Karrus was much more of a talker when it came to complicated things.

Trodging off heavy footed, he moved with a half a skip before falling into an excited pace, his eyes taking in all that was the new environment.

Karrus wasn't an imbecile, he knew the risks of being on your own especially so young. He'd lived that life right up until these recent two years, he'd seen people get shot and seen how the government could tear apart families and ostracize those that still loved their brothers and mothers. The clothes that he wore were really the only clean thing about the experience he carried, having been hand washed by one of the assistants at the Academy on Voss. They were nice to do it, cleaning his clothes for him but he never understood why, it was so rare that anything ever came for free in the worlds around them.

Alexandra's eyes ran over those that passed by her as she sat there watching the air speeders. There was little she could say about the planet as she sat there. She was used to the world outside of her little hermit... temple. But still there remained the fact that she had spent far more time at home lately than in the galaxy and as such she had found her spur of the moment trip odd. There was little reason for this trip too as it was, seeing as she had felt it was what she was being drawn to.

Her hand moved up to her hair and pushed part of it to the side to free up her sight, letting the orbs focus in on the form of a younger child who walked through the street. She wasn't much older than the kid in this body, atleast far closer to his age in this body than she would in her original body and as she thought about the boy that had caught her eye, she let her mind expand.

What she looked for wasn't anything in particular. Infact a great deal of the time when she opened herself up, others seemed to find her rather than her finding someone else. It was always interesting to see the reactions of those around her that could feel the force, even if they mistaken it for a slight tick at the back of their minds. She used this tactic every so often in order to find people who might show promise but even if someone showed a great deal of promise, she rarely approached them.

It had been a long time since her last students, and as far as successes went... well she was pretty low.

Something within him told Karrus to stop and pay attention to his surroundings, not an obvious call to attention but rather a distant feeling he hadn't quite learned how to gain control over just yet. In the past two years at the Academy on Voss, Karrus had been introduced to the core principles of the force; where as he'd arrived with nothing, no knowledge and fewer possessions. Now, he was aware of his gift that some few shared in the galaxy, Jedi and others that didn't follow the same code and conduct that the Order did. Not only was he aware of his gift but he was starting to recognize the difference between the instinctive 'run like hell' feelings and the 'Something's off' kinda feelings. In this case something felt definitely strange but he wasn't scared, felt no threat in his immediate surroundings. Slowing gradually to a stand-still while others busied themselves and passed him by, his eyes glanced about in every direction as if trying to find the source yet his senses weren't that well attuned yet and it remained unclear still whether this person was friend or foe; this other interested party.

Deciding best to see for himself, he chose to wander over towards the closest little bench, a seat with no sides stationed upon the side of the walk-way and lower his pack to ceramic top along with him. Fishing through the interior of the bag, his hands found the training lightsaber that he'd 'neglected' to return to the Voss Academy before taking off on his own little adventure, carefully stashing it to the interior of his open little jacket, clipping it to the inside of a pocket and keeping it out of sight just in case. Having grown up on the street, he was determined if anything, not to be taken for some kinda fool while out there on his own.

The air around the world he wasn't familiar with, felt a little more tense than he'd at first noticed, yet for some reason he didn't quite feel so isolated as he truly was. He had no support here, no friends and no credits. These were realities in his situation and yet it didn't bother him any; Most people would find this to be reckless and even Karrus wondered why it seemed so calm still. Perhaps the meditation practices really were working like the old Master had told him back on Voss, maybe he had changed a little over the two years he was there and if so, he'd be quite pleased with himself as he hated the idea of being stuck on a planet scared and vulnerable again like the way he left his homeworld of Eriadu.

Alexandra watched Karrus immediately the moment he had drawn out the training saber from concealment for that split second and her eyes flared. A runaway? It was rare for Jedi to run away from their order as it was normally something that she expected of Sith who had grown a conscious. It was strange enough that she had to watch him all the closer and once he ran off she grew interested all the more. With that thought in her mind it was without a second thought that she stood and started after Karrus.

This little one was a different one for sure. She could sense something different about him, something odd and different about this one but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. It was clear he was still a learner in terms of his age but she knew there was more than just looks to someone, she herself did not look as old as she nearly was due to her unique situation. But there was one clear thing about this one and it was that he was not dark. Every bit of him was clearly not influenced by the dark which made her ever more curious about her little friend she was following.

'What is it this one is looking for?' She asked mentally the ashlan wolf companion who moved beside her, the tiny silver furred ball watching Karrus too. 'Get up next to him, see what you can figure out beside him.' She let the words drive to Daeda and without question he moved forward, running for Karrus' feet.

[member="Alexandra Feanor"]

Sitting upon the bench, his eyes darted off to his left as some sort of unusual movement caught his attention through all the taller people moving about the path, something small that seemed to dart in and out to avoid being stood upon, some sort of animal that Karrus didn't recognize and it seemed to be coming directly to him. "What the...?" He murmered to himself in open question, pulling his feet up to cross his legs upon the bench, hands taking his ankles and leaning forward in anticipation for the animal to reach him. It was of course the Ashlan Wolf though Karrus himself had no idea when it came to animals and their different names and types of behaviors, where he'd come from, a place like Eriadu had been no home for any sort of creature so he found this one strange and uniquely curious yet at the same time a little nerve-wracking.

His head lifted away from the animal to once again look amongst the crowded area though several were looking his way, he couldn't yet identify the owner of what he presumed was some sort of pet? His head tilted as he spoke to it, uncertain if the creature would even respond to him. "Who do you belong to..." He queried quietly part of him wanting to reach out to touch the creature though the other half of him telling him better, he didn't know this wolf and therefore couldn't know if it'd nip at his fingers or not.

Taking in a bit of a breath, Karrus tried to study the creature while doing as he'd been taught to do when analyzing something and searching for a deeper presence or sign of something beyond what only the eyes could see, as was taught back on Voss. It was impossible for Karrus to tell exactly who this Wolf, this animal was loyal to yet there was definitely a feeling about the animal that spoke of another side, like this creature was one half of a sentient relationship, a bond or affection with something or someone else. His lips pulled in as he hummed to himself in quiet thought, brows furrowing a little trying to concentrate on what it was the force was trying to say to him, why this particular creature had approached him with seemingly little angst when it obviously had the claws, the teeth...the means to harm yet did not. He had been taught to question things, all things to find a deeper meaning in what it was that was offered to him. There was certainly something likable about this creature yet it was estranged and that made Karrus feel a little on edge, once more searching the crowd for the owner, eyes wide and expression openly showing his uncertainty with little reluctance to hide his curiousity.

Daeda just watched the hand in humor on the inside, remembering that people saw him as a mindless animal, a pet. Shame that he couldn't talk and break that little illusion himself but he would probably find a entire load of other problems if he could... like for the fact he couldn't have moments like this. None the less though as Karrus touched the fur on the tiny, snow colored, wolf, it would just turn its head slightly before bounding off the ground at the kid's lap. His intention was to keep Karrus' focus on him while the certain form of his companion would move separately.

And that she did. Alexandra had melded into the crowd and now drifted through it without throwing so much as a glance in their direction. Her and Daeda's bond was one of true mental connection, it was like having a second set of senses that could be pulled on as well as her own unique skill. As she walked, she left her eyes open. Yet unlike those around her she had no longer let them show her the world, instead falling back on her age old training into force sight and letting that take over while her eyes remained focused on the back of the man infront of her.

Her body would not take long though, for every step that brought her closer was not rushed but also not taken lazily. It would be half a minute, but assuming Daeda did his job, she would be there behind him without a warning. It was then that her hand would rest on Karrus' shoulder, and Daeda would move to jump onto her arm, scurrying up to her shoulder and sitting there as she spoke. "I must say, runaways from the Jedi are a surprise."

Karrus fell dead still as the hands touched upon his shoulders and the small little wolf pup thing shot up one of the arms to the person who now stood at his back, sitting cross legged on the bench, he swallowed a little before managing the courage to lean back, his head lifting so that he could look at an upside down view of the person; who seemed to be a woman who knew that he had been with the Jedi. Biting his lower lip in thought, he wondered how she could know such things, he'd been careful not to expose himself with any sort of abilities or attempts at his former training so how had she caught on, unless she was one herself...

Returning his gaze was the Ashlan Wolf that had found the comfort of her shoulder, Karrus head tilting a little as if to correct the upside down image, soon giving in and sitting forward only to turn himself around half way to look up at the pair from his left, "I am not a runaway!" He said with as much confidence he could muster, "And I'm not going back there with you..." He added assuming that she had the same affinity to the Force and that was the explanation for her knowing where he had come from. In the mind of the child, it was only natural that he guessed that she was sent after him to bring him back but had he given it a little more thought, he'd have realized that this didn't make much sense either given Teynara had told him he could come and go as he pleased. Still, standing on the defensive and a little taken back by the sudden approach of the stranger, he shifted off from the seat to put a couple paces between them, looking back at [member="Alexandra Feanor"] a little defiantly, "I don't know who you are, lady...". Karrus had no reason to trust her though he did like the little wolf, the animal was kinda cool looking...-But it didn't make up reasons why he should go trusting strangers all of a sudden!

Alexandra watched as Karrus withdrew into a defensive way of speaking. It wasn't unexpected. To him, she was a random, otherwise faceless woman appearing out of virtually nowhere in the wake of him going on the run and as such she was a possible Jedi sent to bring him back to the temple. In truth though, she was very much so not that. Instead, she smiled as he spoke of bringing him back and let a soft and calm voice leave her throat. As far as Karrus would be able to tell, the voice that greeted him was without an ounce of hostility or urging. "Now now, do calm down a little. I'm not here to bring you back to where ever it is you are running away from. I'm not even from this planet." She turned her head to look up at the sky before looking on Karrus again.

"Now, as for who i am, call me Vanya. It is better you know who i am if im going to bother you. My friend here is Daeda, he says hi and how are you." She smiled and for a moment the words would likely seem like a joke, if the Ashlan wolf didn't nod as if accepting her interpretation of his thoughts. As far as appearances went in that note, Daeda and Alex seemed to be a couple of strange ones but not in the way commonly associated with the word. The Ashlan looked otherwise normal for being a miniature wolf and Alexandra looked like a very young woman with the tail that belonged to her as a zorren wrapped around her waist. What was odd was that they seemed to hold the same expression somehow as well as acted and reacted in such unified ways that it was like the two of them shared one mind.

This was not untrue though, considering that was how the Ashlan bond worked by connecting the two minds.

Karrus frowned to himself for a moment, not necessarily responding to [member="Alexandra Feanor"] while he tried to figure out how to take a handle on the situation. Zarack had always told him to not to trust people he didn't know but then again, Zarack didn't know about the Force either, or at-least if he had done, he'd never shown it. Again, he tried to open his mind to the world around him, the flow of the force consistently moving about and through, connecting all the things living around them. From the woman, he couldn't be certain but he found little reason to doubt her, usually there'd be some kind of doubt in his mind, something that'd leave him feeling uncomfortable and on edge but for the time being, nothing like that was present, even when she spoke her name. "Vanya..." He repeated to himself a little, as if saying the name might change something in what he was feeling from the world around them; it didn't. "...-And Daeda" his eyes darted to the small wolf sitting atop her shoulder still and he smiled a little at the pup sized animal, still curious as ever though not forgetting his place, he glanced back to Vanya thoughtfully; "I'm not a runaway...-They said if I wanted to leave, that I could".

Karrus had never really fit into the Academy on Voss, he was too rough around the edges to let his guard down around most of the others and many of the students hadn't forgotten the state that he was in upon his initial arrival, having escaped Eriadu alongside Ryn'Dhal, a fellow student of the Order and several others trying to avoid the fire of the common enforcement agency there, 'police' units that paid less attention to the facts than they did to cleaning their rifles and trying to look tough. His attire since had fortunately changed, they'd given him a choice between the funny looking tunics and a more casual yet modern appeal, a black t-shirt with a dark blue denim jacket and khaki toned pants that were a size possibly too big; still it was better than the burned and tattered old clothes that resembled the undernourished life he'd come from.

"My name is Karrus...-Zorathi. I'm from Eriadu...-But don't really have a home anymore; I was going to stay on Voss, they seemed kinda nice but...-I prefer being outside; like this" He was referring to the streets, he'd grown up on darker dirtier ones and knew how to make the most of living on his own with minimal means to keep himself going. It was that feeling, that novelty of familiarity that he couldn't find back with the Academy, where everything was so easily taken for granted, few ever really knowing how good it was to hold a cup of water as opposed to having to drink it from the puddles of the street floors. Out here everything mattered, there was a use for everything you could find and Karrus loved that he could make things work like that, figure out a use for everything.

Alexandra would let him talk and for a few seconds she could empathize with the boy. Even as she lived as a hermit in her old temple, she had hated staying place for too long and that was why she was helping those Republic Jedi. But it was not the same as truly getting out there in the galaxy again and as she thought about that the words of the boy rang through her mind to twist her thoughts. "I see, not a runaway huh? That is surprising to me none the less though as i expected most to find a bit of happiness with the Jedi... though i can certainly understand your reasoning for why you didn't fit there."

Hell it wasn't hard. When she was with the Sith, she had felt like an outcast even as the student of a prominent master. It wasn't her, being one of them. She was not a killer or manipulator and once she had left, it was thanks to a Jedi who helped her to find her own path that she stood where she was. "So, Tell me Karrus. What were you planning to do then now that you are out traveling for yourself? Head back to Eriadu and find a living there? Its not a bad plan and im sure there are people that could help you."

[member="Alexandra Feanor"] didn't seem so bad, atleast not in the way where Karrus felt he needed to keep her at a distance anymore. Most people who wanted to do bad stuff usually spoke like they didn't care about others around them where as she was asking about himself like she might actually care a little. "Oh nah, the Jedi were cool and all..." He piped in quickly, "I really liked the ones I met, they were very nice but there was just so many of them...-And everything was so flash and expensive looking, I felt like I was gonna break something all the time or maybe do something wrong that'd make them all hate me so...-I guess i like it out here better, it's easier living in places like this...." His eyes darted about the street around them with a slim smile, taking brief note of the people that passed them by, Karrus himself eventually returning to the bench and taking a seat back atop of it, looking back up to Vanya somewhat thoughtfully.

"I don't know much about this place, I just told the driver I wanted to go somewhere new..." He grinned a little sheepishly, the reply sounding a little funny even to him though it hadn't worked out all too bad, had it. "There's no way I'm going back home to Eriadu though..." His expression took something of a serious turn, a not-so-happy one. "My brother...-He hurt some people really bad, he told me if I tried to follow him that he'd hurt me too. Ma' got put in a place where the put the crazy kinda people and Da' was never around, he left us ages ago so...-After all that happened, they wanted to put me in someone else's family..." He shook his head looking back up at her as if to say 'never gonna happen'.

Karrus soon smiled as his gaze returned to the people moving about their day to day lives walking the street, some dressed all nice like and others not-so-much. Over the years, Karrus had come to learn how to tell certain things about people just by the way they moved, how they presented themselves and even at times by the way they talked; lying for example. "It's different out here like this. I guess I just like to watch people..." he might have explained what he meant by the comment but he couldn't rightly understand it himself. He liked to see the happy people that passed him by and then the ones that weren't so happy, he always felt real sympathy for them even though the things in their lives were probably far too mature for a kid like himself to be dealing with. The way that he could see their emotions and almost read what their days were like just by looking at their facial expressions;"...-I dunno, it kinda all sounds a little silly don't it?".

She listened to both of his stories, waiting for them to to end. First there was the clarification of his feelings on the Jedi and she smiled while he talked about them. While she knew few of the Silver sect, those in the Republic had given her a warm enough welcome that she only expected how the others would react to newcomers. Yet when Karrus mentioned being cooped up in a temple all day, she could only smile to herself at that point. She had been forced into a position until recently where her time spent was largely in the garden at her own home. Granted that had changed now but still, she was for all intents a hermit most of the time.

Next came the talk about his brother though and she thought she might need to give the young kid a hug as he talked. But the moment he stopped it seemed as though his smile returned. "You know, its not as silly as you think. Watching people is always something that I've done for the great deal of my life and i can promise you that its not something to worry about. It tells you about those around you and in return you can approach them a bit differently."

This time it was her turn to pause and as she did her body leaned against the closest stable object and thinking. "So, what was your plan now then? If not to return to Eraidu yet having no where else to go?"

Karrus nodded a couple times with an eager smile as he showed his agreement with [member="Alexandra Feanor"] response to him, it sounding as if she knew what she was talking about and the positive points of people watching, thus he felt a little better about it and less of an oddball between the two. Soon enough she asked him for a second time what his intentions were for his future and glancing back up at her, Karrus wondered why she was so interested about it all. "Well...I got this far..." He offered something of an indifferent shrug; truth be told he had no plans further, all he'd wanted was a bit of space and the freedom to recover his independence again after spending two very long and arduous years in the Jedi Academy on Voss.

While she seemed very interested in him, the young boy's curiousity had been peaked and soon turned the conversation back towards her, wanting to know a little more about who she was in the hopes of making sure he wasn't talking himself into something over top of his head. That's how it worked back on Eriadu, befriend a troublemaker and sooner or later you wind up making trouble yourself. "...What's your story, lady? Where'd you come from anyway...-And where'd you get the lil' pup?" He beamed at the final question, clearly fascinated still by the miniature hound sitting atop her shoulder.

"My Story? Huh... ok let see. Where should i begin on that novel of a run." She seemed to close her eyes for a moment as if contemplating the idea of where to begin on herself. In turth she had no idea what so ever when it came to how she should begin. Sure she could say ow she fought and served the Sith, or how she had stabbed a Jedi with a branch after escaping the Sith and making her way to Alderaan. There were a few ways to begin the story but none of them really told much about herself.

"Lets see... i was a young kid like you a long time back. You wouldn't know by my current body but i was actually Echani, not... well lets just say half fox, half what ever else." She grinned as she let the tail uncurl from her waist and poke out of her robes to show Karrus. "Anyways, i had three siblings, all younger than me and i lived with my parents on Coruscant. We had a nice simple life, my mother caring for us and my father was a pit fighter, working to just feed us. One day he refused to lose a match that he had been... suggested would be better if he lost. Because of that our home was attacked and burned down, i was crippled after falling from a window and i thought my family was dead as i lay in a gutter for weeks. I was no more than your age when that happened sadly."

Her eyes shifted to Daeda as she scratched at his head, the Ashlan leaning into her hand. "As for this little guy, he was the runt of his family when we made the bond that connects out brains. Think of it like the force giving us telepathy every second of the day, only this one is not through the force itself. I still don't quite understand the process or how it works but it is something that has helped me more than once. I actually was going to make it my order's version of a knighting ceremony before it collapsed."

The woman had quite a lot to say and didn't seem reluctant at all to say it, even the darker stuff that most people wouldn't tell children yet Karrus sat there listening, his expression unblinking nor was it unnerved given his own past and experiences at seeing the way things could go horribly wrong in the galaxy. "That all sounds...-Really complicated..." His eyes caught sight of her tail and his brows rose in question, she certainly didn't look anything like a Cathar. "Sorry all that stuff happened to you...If it helps, I guess I lost everything too..." He tried to smile despite the negative remark, hoping that it might please the woman some and make her smile a little rather than dwell on what was behind them both.

Again he glanced to the wolf-pup creature and grinned to himself as he watched it react to [member="Alexandra Feanor"] speaking of it and the bond that they shared. He'd read about sharing bonds and connecting with others through the force but never with an animal like this, not to that kind of depth that she seemed to be claiming anyway. "Must be nice having a friend with you wherever you go...-At least you're never alone" Karrus leaned forward a little to reach out for the Ashlan wolf, hoping to pet it though not wanting to give it a reason to shy away from him, he paused and soon retracted his hand thinking twice about it.

"So what do you do now then..." After all that she'd said, she hadn't spoken much on what her current life was all about, Karrus wasn't sure if she was a Jedi or not but she seemed to know a fair bit about them and something inside of his head told him that she was capable of some of the same things that they were able to do through the Force.

"Thank you but in all honesty, you should have no reason to be sorry. Life has a way of working out and while it may end in tragedy you must always find that good point to your life. My first tragedy led to me finding my first master and he was just as much family as the two who had given birth to me. I was blessed with happiness and than loss each time and i don't regret one mistake in my past as here i am now in an entirely different body after my own death, with an opportunity to tell you of my mistakes so that you may understand them." She smiled as she moved around to sit on the bench with Karrus, letting Deada move from her shoulder to the boy's lap if Karrus would allow it.

"And don't worry about that pain in the butt. He tends to mess with me when no one else is around. Something interesting about him and his kind are they are as smart as you and I, infact Daeda's only way to really speak is through me, and he is happy to meet you as well." Her hand moved to scratch behind the wolf's ear once more before hearing his last question and smiling.

"Traveling and learning more about the force itself. Unlike most ive ccme to know the force as a friend. I talk with it and while this may sound crazy it can respond in base ways. Pain, fear, joy and love. The emotions we assume are ours alone, imagine if the force's own emotions and pains were part of our power? What then if it shared those emotions in full rather than a weak version of our normal gains." She looked at Karrus once more, curious if he understood her thought process. "The force connects every living being, it embodies the will of the galaxy through giving us the ability to shape that will and change it. That is what i want to understand further, why does it leave that process in our hand. Sorry if that seems boring, but after the disbanding of my old order, its all i really can focus on these days."

Karrus might have been slow on the upkeep but he still struggled to wrap his head around [member="Alexandra Feanor"] speaking of being in a different body, he didn't understand how something like that could be impossible and though he liked to learn about the Force, he didn't know that it could be that big of a thing...-He dropped the question however as soon as Daeda dropped down into his lap and his eyes followed the small ashlan wolf with a partial grin, running his right hand down the back of the small pup's head and scratching it behind the neck whilst listening still to the woman. When she began to speak of travelling and learning more about the Force, Karrus' interest was piqued and he tore his eyes away from the small animal in his lap to look up to her curiously.

"The Force leaves what the Galaxy wants in our hands?" He asked shortly after she'd finished speaking, not entirely knowing what she meant by the will of the galaxy but it sounded like the Force was something that expected them to change the galaxy somehow, if by what she'd said was to be true. Karrus hadn't heard something like this before, it had always been about how big and incredible the Force was, not putting the emphasis on their ability to weild it but how it connected all life and existed through it all.

"What's this old Order you're talking about, is it like the Jedi?" He soon questioned afterwards, his head tilting as he wondered now what she'd seen in her experiences with the Force, how much she could truly know about it all. The whole lot of it still seemed way to big for himself to comprehend; two years ago he was a helpless street rat with no skills, now Karrus was talking with people who knew about the force while being smarter about the streets himself than he'd ever thought possible. It was like his whole world had changed just after Sanya had spoken to him about the Force back on Eriadu.

She blinked as [member="Karrus Zorathi"] spoke and for a moment lost he words to find. She forgot that not everyone truly understood how she saw the force and spoke with it. Hell to be honest and fair, there was little in how she actually understood what she found in her hours upon hours of meditation. In most cases she did what ever felt right and made the most sense from what she was being given in terms of signs. "Its more like... it lets us decide our paths, while giving us a hand to carve it. Some abuse of course is taken in that power, harming the forcee because of those that use it's gift that way. It is unavoidable, there will always be those that abuse that power. Yet there are those that do not and use it to better the lives of others."

She smiled as her hand moved to create an illusion, a ribbon of light that reached towards the sky, first coming from her chest, and then Karrus'. "Think of these two strands of what ties us to the force. Ive walked outside of my body and seen these a million times but that is something far too dangerous for me to show you yet. But with that said my point is this. They tie us, everything, to the force. It is all connected but at the same time its not controlled like some would think... i wont try to convince you how i see it as correct. I am merely showing you a bit more." She smiled as he looked curious to the point that she couldn't help but show him the way she saw the force, how she interacted with it. It was second nature for her, and it reminded her of being that teacher she used to be.

Her smile lessened when he mentioned the order but it definitely remained there. "No, it was a bit different than the Sith and Jedi that most people see connected to the force. We had no name like the Jensaari, or Paladin Order, or like you pointed out the Jedi. We also had no great temple, or standing force of knights. My order had simply sought to preserve knowledge and expand it to as many as possible. Recently though, not many of us remain in the galaxy, and those that do, are now Sith or Jedi as they found the two orders far more appealing for their own goals... Nothing grand or special, but it was a pride of mine to be around."

The thought of others using the power of the force in negative ways had been something Karrus had been introduced to the day that he fled Eriadu with the others, those wanting to fight and using it to help them hurt other people, he'd seen these things and when asked about them later in the Temple of the Jedi on Voss, he'd been discouraged from thinking of the Force as a tool to be put against other people. It confused him a little, given that the teachings forbid people from doing bad things and yet they were being taught how to wield certain abilities that he hadn't thought possible for anything else but to be used against said people they were meant to be kind to. Naturally it was later revealed to him that the Jedi were forced to fight in order to help others, Karrus had tried to understand it but at such a young age he struggled with the idea of a whole group of people in an Order wanting only to live in peace yet stepping out into the galaxy to fight; it hadn't made a whole lot of sense at the time.

"The Jensaari and the Paladin Order?" He questioned abruptly shortly after [member="Alexandra Feanor"] had finished talking about her Order, "Are there really that many Order's in the galaxy?" He continued, soon glancing down to Daeda thoughtfully, his hand petting the creature and offering a brief smile before turning back and looking to Alex' expectantly. "You seem to know a lot about all of this stuff..." He added nonchalantly, still occupied over the wonder of people using the Force to fight against other force users. That sudden concern coming back as he then asked once more "If you have a group of friends like that, what're you doing out here then?".

"I've been around for a while, don't let this body fool you when that fact is brought up. And yes, there are as many ideals and orders in this galaxy as there are planets. There is always a newer idea, a better idea, a stronger idea. There is always visionaries looking to make their mark on our place in history and there are those who simply want the power and wealth of the moment in their looking towards the future. I never quite understood it..." She paused as he asked his last question, causing her to smile. "Do you want to know a little secret of mine Karrus?"

She paused, long as far as pauses go and leand back before closing her eyes. "I'm scared. I'm scared of the galaxy, of my friends, of the Jedi and the Sith. I'm scared of every single person that walks by us and i can trust little to no one. We all live on borrowed time and i had mine taken from me long ago, only to be brought back and toyed with in this game we call life by the person i thought i could trust most. That is why i'm way out here and looking. I'm looking for what my next move is in this life of fear that i have condemned myself to... Don't think too much on it though Karrus. I've been like this for a long time now, pain and failure whittles you down until you are wandering and looking for something to spend your life on, or to simply just move on."
