STRENGTHS
  • Assault Gun: A hard-hitting and decently fast-firing heavy laser cannon allows the E112 Capricorn to easily tear through infantry and light armor while engaging most enemy tanks and walkers on equal terms in a head-on engagement.
  • Tanky: The Capricorn has heavy frontal armor that is highly resistant to damage up to laser cannons and anti-tank missiles.
  • Battering Ram: The Capricorn's thick frontal armor and decent top speed allow it to ram infantry, vehicles, and fortifications with deadly force in a pinch.
WEAKNESSES
  • Neglected Flanks: The E112 Capricorn's flanks and rear are much more lightly armored than its front and are vulnerable to both anti-tank and machine gun fire.
  • Exposed Gunner: The gunner manning the Capricorn's secondary laser cannon turret has to stick the top half of their body outside the armor of the vehicle, rendering them exposed to small-arms fire and an easy target for snipers.
  • Fixed Gun: The Capricorn's heavy laser cannon is fixed in place, requiring the vehicle to face its target in order to fire on it.
DESCRIPTION

The E112 Capricorn is Rim Dynamics' first purpose-built infantry support vehicle, offering mobile heavy firepower to eliminate bunkers and similar armored threats to advancing infantry. The Capricorn is intended to work closely with infantry divisions, using its heavy laser cannon primarily as a support weapon to destroy targets that are resistant to small-arms fire. The well-armored front of the Capricorn is also useful for providing mobile cover for advancing infantry, who can be stowed away in a rear compartment before opening the hatch and rushing out at close range.

A quartet of lightly armored repulsorlifts enable the E112 Capricorn to achieve surprisingly high speed despite its weight. Nonetheless, it is not recommended to use the Capricorn as a main battle tank due to the fixed position of its turret greatly limiting its chances to fire upon other mobile armored vehicles. Instead, the Capricorn's strengths shine in combined arms formations where it can greatly aid infantry formations who are in turn able to cover for most of the vehicle's weaknesses.
