PRODUCTION INFORMATION
Manufacturer: Visanj T’shkali
Affiliation: Dynamic Interface Artificial Intelligence-driven Neo-Android (D.I.A.N.A.)
Modularity: No
Production: Minor-Production
Material: Electronics, code, digits.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • DIANA is entirely capable of commanding, controlling, and coordinating an entire ship or household, its myriad systems, droid complement, and routine operations, maintenance, and functionality range, providing increased efficiency via micro-management of systems. [Note: This doesn’t make any system more powerful, only increases efficiency and allows performance at optimum levels.]
  • DIANA contains a tactical database to assist commanders in battle as well.
  • DIANA can quickly and accurately sort, search, and analyze tremendous volumes of information, extrapolating data to formulate strategic, tactical, and operational plans from a variety of sources, as well as to decipher, decode, and analyze data for intelligence and research purposes.
  • DIANA uses a massive reference database, including navigation materials, codices, linguistics, and much more, giving it a powerful analytical and practical base.
  • Feminine programming.
  • Heuristic learning programming allows for DIANA to learn, becoming more intuitive and developing greater efficiency through experience.
  • Powerful logic algorithms allow DIANA to be quite the detective, able to use a variety of advanced mathematical logic to solve riddles, codes, suggest likely solutions to problems, etc.
  • Can be simultaneously installed on a ship’s, home’s, or office’s main computers and also into a DIANA Android to allow physical interaction and interface.
  • Special ‘omniscience/omnipresence’ programming enables – provided communications systems allow – for DIANA to be conscious of and interact with other systems into which it is uploaded. Ex.: While traveling with a DIANA Android, a user can ask the status of their home or direct DIANA, via the Android, to bring their ship to their location. Likewise, the DIANA Android can be sent on errands and the user, sitting in her office, can keep full accounting of the droid’s activities via the DIANA upload there.
  • Stored on a Sentient AI Data Storage Chip, DIANA can be backed-up regularly and removed for safety reasons, relegating it to the limitations of that device until it can be restored in the event of emergency or potential compromise.
DESCRIPTION:

Designed based on the programming of library droids and analytical A.I.s used in previous eras, coupled together with full systems management, heuristic learning programming, and strategic / tactical planning sub-routines, DIANA represents the ideal A.I. for management of starships, private facilities, or specially-designed droids (See DIANA Android). Able to provide detailed analysis and extrapolations from tremendous volumes of data quickly, DIANA is a valuable advisor and assistant. DIANA is an excellent tool for a wide variety of users.

Able to proficiently manage and command an entire starship for extended periods of time, including navigation, shipboard operations, even combat maneuvers and tactics, and assume full supervisory command and control over automated systems and even droids on board, a starship directed by DIANA will perform nothing short of impressively. Likewise, DIANA can operate an entire household, even a large manor home, or an office, controlling its systems, directing droid servants, etc.

STRENGTHS:
  • Provides excellent managerial powers over various systems, enhancing efficiency and supervising operations and functions autonomously or else as directed by authorized users.
  • Portable, DIANA can be carried and reintegrated into new ships, vehicles, systems, or facilities at will. DIANA cannot be commanded by or disengaged except by users with the correct command codes, nor can it be reintegrated without them.
  • DIANA will learn its user’s tastes, preferences, and other requirements, growing perfectly in tune with its user(s) over time, able to intuit and anticipate needs and seek to meet them before they arise.
WEAKNESSES:
  • DIANA is vulnerable to EMP, Ion, and electrical surges like any set of electronics. If a system which it is integrated with is hit, DIANA will be knocked out of that system and will have to access the system once more when it has finished rebooting. If DIANA is hit directly, it will shut down and must reboot fully before being operational again, and will not retain data it has received since its last scheduled backup.
  • DIANA is limited by the communications systems available to it, causing it to be vulnerable to jamming, disruption, or other limitations.
  • Each DIANA AI is able to be uploaded into a single DIANA Android and two (2) other locations, i.e. ship, home, or office, at a time, and though it shares consciousness with each location where uploaded, it cannot be linked to other DIANA units. Ex.: A user can have their DIANA uploaded into a DIANA Android, their ship, and their home, and each of these is aware of and able to interact with the other using the specialized ‘omniscience/omnipresence’ element of this systems’ design, but cannot know or interact with another user’s DIANA systems nor can it be uploaded anywhere else unless it is first removed from one of these three locations.
