- [ Biometric Failsafe ] | The DM-X13 is keyed specifically to Droz Munin's biometrics. It will only activate and fire in his hands, and will severely electrocute anyone else who tries to use it outside of simply holding it. This ensures that his own weapons will never be used against him. There is no physical trigger either, it operates on pressure, making it difficult for anyone outside of Droz to use effectively and with finesse.
- [ Hybrid Mode ] | The DM-X13's underbarrels project an electro-plasma blade, allowing the DM-X13 to be used as a close range melee weapon, very much so like a katar. This allows the wielder to cut through enemies on a comparable level to that of lightsabers, along with being able to fight individuals with lightsabers.
- [ Fire Rate ] | The DM-X13's construction allows for it to fire without much concern for overheating. It takes a significant number of shots being fired in quick succession to overheat the barrels, and even then it does little to harm the aim stability or barrel integrity.
- [ Range ] | The DM-X13 while effective at close to medium ranges, especially the former, the DM-X13 has a relatively shorter effective range compared to most standard blaster pistols.
- [ Recoil ] | Due to the lightweight construction of the weapon, the recoil can be relatively high when fired extremely quickly.
DESCRIPTION
The DM-X13 Dual Blaster Pistols are a pair of custom designed blaster pistols made by Droz Munin. They take the design philosophy of the WESTAR-34 blaster pistols and incorporates a unique trigger system to make it highly personalized to Droz and Droz alone. The grips of the DM-X13 blaster pistol has a pressure sensitive trigger integrated on it. Squeezing the grip where the trigger would be causes the weapon to fire, allowing for a higher rate of semi-automatic fire compared to standard blasters. Squeezing the lower part of the grip activates the electro-plasma projection from the lower part of the weapon, allowing for it to be used in melee combat. The DM-X13 responds and reacts only to Droz Munin, meaning it can only be fired by him unless he changes the biometric key needed to someone else. Should anyone attempt to use the weapon without being properly keyed in, an extremely powerful electric shock will be delivered to the wielder should they attempt to use it in any offensive capacity.
