Strengths:
The CSA - 04 (Concealed Sidearm) is the debut personal protection weapon of D.E.A.D. In large supply and easily affordable, the CSA - 04 provides somewhat standard protection for the general population of the lower levels. Although morphologically suited to humanoid hands, the weapon isn't necessarily species-restricted.
On the right side of the weapon is a curved Tibanna Gas Cartridge. The cartridge is held in place by magnets that only disengage when out of ammo. Kinetic energy built up by the user's trigger-pulling is stored in a tiny flywheel located near the cartridge. When the magnets disengage, the flywheel expels the energy and effectively launches the cartridge to provide quick and easy reloading. Reloading simply involves slapping another cartridge against the magnets that are now exposed.
The 04 denotes the use of 4 toroidal magnetic plates. These plates are passively inactive but upon the pull of the trigger, generate individual pulses that accelerate the ionised gas (see Multi-Charge Principle for reference) in sync with the velocity of the moving bolt. The recoil generated from these pulses is centred such that Recoil is minimal.

Strengths:
- Fast Reload - Gas Cartridge (Located right side of weapon) Is ejected automatically once empty. Ejection is magnetic and immediate. If you're quick, you could reload in 2 seconds.
- Low Recoil - Magnetic expulsion is centered to achieve almost no recoil
- Cheap - Cheap ammo, cheap materials. It's a weapon for the masses
- Not Awfully Powerful - As far as we at DEAD are aware, the masses aren't engaging targets of any real significance. You'll be lucky if it gets past Synthmesh
- Mass Produced - Although of generally high-quality, trying to simplify complex mechanisms will lead to comparitively high faults.
