Both his parents died offworld, and his rather abusive caretakers couldn’t be bothered to try and stop him. At a young age, he discovered that he could move small objects, and that his teachers, who were mostly women, were easily gainsaid if he would just think about what he said a few seconds before saying it. [SIZE=13pt]At the age of fifteen, he decided to try his hand at smuggling in forbidden candies, cosmetics, and prank items into his school and selling them to his classmates for double or triple the price they would be, otherwise. He made a tidy sum off of this, but was eventually forced to hide the money and his wares when he was threatened with expulsion. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=13pt]Eventually, he was caught, and expelled a year before graduation. He, now 18, also feared the implantation of upcoming implantation of a Shapekeeper. A Shapekeeper is an L’ven device that allows identification of an individual, no matter what physical or cosmetic changes he or she puts themselves through. [/SIZE]
[SIZE=13pt]He needed to leave L’vish, and fast. HE looked around on a map of the galaxy and decided to fly to Corellia. He had no other reason for choosing Corellia, except that he liked the idea of living in a big city, but Coruscant was too confined by laws and Jedi for his tastes.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13pt]So, he hatched a plan. On his 19th birthday, he asked his foster father for a chance to take his shuttle for a spin. The man agreed. Even a negligent, abusive L’ven father wouldn’t deny his charge a chance to try his hand at something he truly believed would change his life.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13pt]Well, Ven took the shuttle (and his father’s rather expensive security droid, TK-421) on a ‘spin’ all the way to Corellia, counting simply on the embarrassment of being duped by a ‘youngling’ to be enough to deter his foster father from reporting the theft of his ship.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=13pt]Ven named it Black Beauty[/SIZE][SIZE=13pt] because it was black, and because he found it pretty.[/SIZE]
