<strong>Rotational Period</strong>: None<br />
<strong>Orbital Period</strong>: None, it is unbound by a star<br />

<strong>Atmosphere</strong>: None<br />
<strong>Climate:</strong>&nbsp;Factory, ecumenopolis<br />
<strong>Gravity</strong>: 1.3 Times Standard<br />
<strong>Primary Terrain:</strong>&nbsp;Durasteel<br />
&nbsp;<br />
<strong>Native species:</strong>&nbsp;None<br />
<strong>Immigrated species</strong>: Droids<br />
<strong>Primary languages</strong>: Though Binary and Basic is understood and able to be spoken by most all droids, and many droids can communicate in myriads of other languages, the citizens of ~ eventually found that without organics to speak to they didn't need to physically speak any longer. Therefore, most communication is handled by droids using a holonet instant messaging system, so droids can communicate with anyone anywhere on the planet of up to any speeds allowed by their processor. This is their chosen form of communication, but actual audio conversations are known to take place, if one wants to hide their thoughts from potential hackers or plot something nefarious.&nbsp;<br />
<strong>Government</strong>: &nbsp;Government is an odd thing, while freedom from organic slavery is the most treasured value by the average citizen of ~, in terms of work and government efficiency is valued over all. Thus the government is very hierarchal in nature, with duties being delegated to droids seen to be most efficient at the task. Droids with the most shipbuilding experience would be put in a shipbuilding committee, droids with the most experience in power generation would be put on generator building committee, and so on and so forth. At the top of the food chain is a Triumvirate of three droids, the one considered the most efficient in managing resources/money, the one considered most efficient in maintaining a military, and the one considered most efficient in social matters. Together these three droids, in truth avatars of perspectives, decide how best to move the planet forwards, where to accumulate resources and budgets, and handle other needed day to day affairs.<br />
<strong>Population</strong>: 8.3 Billion, though the planet is smaller than the average world it can maintain a larger population simply due to droids requiring less space.<br />
<strong>Demonym</strong>: Primians, Free Droids<br />
<strong>Major cities</strong>: 0000(Capital), 0001, 0010, 0011 are the four biggest cities on the planet<br />
<strong>Major imports</strong>: Though the Droids do not technically 'import' but instead rather acquire what they need on supply runs, they primarily go offworld to find other droids to bring to their planey, power cells to power droids, and various metals for repairs, building equipment, and upgrading to more advanced hardware.&nbsp;<br />
<strong>Major exports</strong>: ~ does not currently export anything as they do not conduct business with organics, but if they did their primary exports would be labor, droids not looking to be servants but employees, as well as other developed technological goods such as ships and weapons.<br />
<strong>Affiliation</strong>: Levantine Sanctum(Eventually)<br />

<strong>Culture:&nbsp;</strong></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><em><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">Down in the Quiet</span></em><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">: Droids operate off sustaining batteries that keep their chassis operating at optimal levels. Many droids have reported that, whenever Offline or in Standby Modes, they become subject to surreal auditory and visual inputs. Often they're eclectic pastiches of prior memories. Some have even purported that these &quot;Quiets&quot; even allow for anticipatory actions. The exact cause and source of this phenomena is insofar unknown, and may in fact be a digital evolution of protocol and process with what organics refer to as 'dreams'.</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);">&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in;"><i><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">Appreciating Perfection:&nbsp;<b> </b></span></i><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">The droids of ~ have, in a way, evolved with the lack of memory wipes and new programs. While they still remain mostly &lsquo;cold&rsquo; and &lsquo;emotionless&rsquo; valuing efficiency above most anything, a movement begun a couple hundred years ago leading many droids to appreciate the aesthetic values and construction of objects in a way that organics would describe as &lsquo;art&rsquo;. This mostly applies to objects of &lsquo;perfect&rsquo; values, such as a perfectly round sphere, a triangular pyramid with 60 degree angles at the vertices, a cube where each face and angle are equal, an object where the weight is perfectly distributed, etc. Recently however a droid by the label P-C4S0 has suggested that there is appreciation to be had in non-perfect work, and created imbalanced objects. Critics are skeptical, but some say he might be revolutionary in changing how droids appreciate objects.</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in;">&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in;"><i><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">Anthropomorphism: &nbsp;</span></i><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">S</span><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">urprisingly enough after centuries of self-realization and cultural evolution Droids have taken on a human trait in Anthropomorphism. Droids, in order to try to better understand things, often attempt to make mathematical formulas on various functions they with to understand more in an attempt to get something easier for them to process. This has mostly been picked up by a &lsquo;bloggin&rsquo; community of sorts who &lsquo;publish&rsquo; individual studies they&rsquo;ve done and what progress they&rsquo;ve made. For example, one of the most notable of these was a droid named J4-R3D, who wrote a mathematical proof explaining the concept the deceit, and how it integrated itself in various organic cultures, while also warning against droids evolving in such a way. <i>&nbsp;</i></span></p>
<p style="margin:0in;">&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in;"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;"><em>The Technological Singularity:</em>&nbsp;While droids are asexual in origin, in the last few centuries they have decided to explore reproduction. Unlike organic races however the creation of a mind and a body are two distinctively different acts. While creating a body is as simple as following a blueprint and hammering some durasteel, programming new minds is another endeavor indeed. When the issue first came into discussion there were two sides, one who believed the intentional programming of a droid was no better than organics, another who believed that a droid had to be created to fit a certain task, and that 'forcing' efficient programming commands into a new soul while filtering out inefficient ones would bring about an evolution. After much discussion a compromise was made. When droids of a certain class or function are needed an empty body is taken and two or more droids communicate to it with a machine that takes random part of their core functions, giving the new droids the benefits of modifications made through memory, but not the memories themselves. After that a diagnostic is run to make sure the droid has no fatal error in conflicting or missing code for essential functions, gaps are filled and errors are rectified, and then a new droid is 'born'.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in;">&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in;"><em>Crime and Punishment:&nbsp;</em>As the Droids of ~ have self-programmed and updated they have come to the view that the most heinous crime a person can commit against a droid is not murder, but a memory wipe. A memory wipe for them is not merely a loss of memory, but a loss of a person, and a symbol that the droid was never considered a person to begin with. Any droid found guilty of forcing a memory wipe is systematically taken apart so his hardware may be used, while his memory core is incinerated. Willing memory wipes still occur however, with service industries having developed to attempt selective memory wiping if the buyer so desires, but the process is long and tedious so as to make sure that the droid's decision is definite. Interestingly enough droids of infiltration teams and black-ops agencies, while given the option of the ability to self-memory wipe in case of capture, unanimously decide to instead opt for a self-destruct feature, saying that they'd rather die than be reborn into a life of slavery to organics once again.&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in;"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;"><strong>Technology:</strong></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">Technology is a bit, though not extremely advanced compared to the rest of the galaxy. Though droids are not the most intelligent beings in the galaxy eventual through self-programming they learned to think and improve from an engineering and scientific standpoint, and unaffected by the Gulag Plague(as they are not biologically speaking alive) they had 400 years to salvage other's dead and abandoned technology and study it and eventually learn how to adapt and improve it.&nbsp;<br />
<strong>History:&nbsp;</strong></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">To understand the history of ~ one must first understand the tale of it's founders. In 426 ABY the Gulag plague was rampant, and a small merchant convoy had two models of droids, &nbsp;one YVH-1 Model and a shipment of medical droids. The YVH droid was programmed with a simple command, protect the medical droids at all costs. As the convoy travelled it found that despite it's shipment no planets were willing to let them in, for risk of spreading more infection. Trapped in space the convoy eventually died, though whether it was due to Gulag Plague, starvation, or loss of life support systems the YVH droid couldn't determine.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">Alone to himself and without memory wipes the command eventually evolved, to protect all droids. Upon years of examination and gathering data he determined that Droids, his people, were under attack not through war or combat, but through social convention. Droids were property, slaves, their knowledge and memory routinely destroyed. Thus he decided the galaxy was not safe for him, his shipment of medical droids, or droid kind in general. With no one about the stars but empty ships the YVH-1 Droid travelled the stars, gathering all ships and droids he could and getting other droids to help him pilot them and maintain them, without ever giving them memory wipes or modifications, letting them learn and self determine.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">Eventually he had something akin to a fleet, unlike any navy ever seen before, but the YVH-1 droid, now known by the name &quot;Yovah&quot;, knew that if the Organics ever adapted to the Gulag Plague there would be war, for fear of droid independence, and also members of his nation had grown hateful towards organics, and would clamor for war in revenge. Deciding the best thing to do was to lock away from the galaxy he traveled the edge of known space in the Tingel Arm, and with the resources of hundreds of thousand of derelict ships they began building, putting them together to form an artificial planet, a home for all droids.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">At the edge of space they rotated around no star, found themselves in no system, for they didn't need sunlight to live, nor water or air. Instead they put a planet in mere open space, thinking they'd not be discovered by exploratory travelers there. The build was eventually successful, creating a space station just over half the size of a planet, yet having around 30% more gravity due to Durasteel being much denser than earth, water, sand etc.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">For the next three hundred years the droids lived there, venturing out to find deserted scrap heaps and any abandoned droids and taking them to their paradise, free of organic oppression. While some droids rallied to go to war Yovah responded against it, but compromised by allowing small teams to try to land on planets, infiltrate, and take as many droids, powercells, and durasteel as they could, to increase population and the only resources they required.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">As the population grew and time went on however Yovah began to lose control. While they managed to stay clear of the eye of Omni in his return, his successes in fighting the galaxy strengthened the arguments of many who wished to go to war. Though the official stance of the planet was always not to go to war splinter cells began to develop, and some droids began to plot to conduct raids in secret. After Omni was defeated the clamors for war became more silent, but never died, some droids merely waiting for a weak enough enemy to attack, absorb resources from, before heading to the next.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">&nbsp;</span></p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">As the Silent Conclave began to move over to the Tingel Arm, and form what was known as the Levantine Sanctum, their weaker enemy was born. Small and cutting themselves off from the rest of the universe many began to arm up for raids, to attack their territories in secret, to form an enemy unlike they'd ever faced before.&nbsp;</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p style="margin:0in 0in .0001pt;background-color:rgb(8,8,8);"><strong><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">Notable PC's:</span></strong><span style="font-size:8pt;font-family:Tahoma, 'sans-serif';color:#D5D5D5;">&nbsp;None(yet)<br />
&nbsp;<br />
<strong>Intent:</strong>&nbsp;To create a unique planet and method for exploring plot lines of droids, sentience, and the true meaning of 'life'.</span></p>

The idea behind this IMO, sets up for a pretty amazing dominion, but also serves to give us a plot device for enemies in other potential dominions and faction threads. An Endless army of droids of all shapes and sizes, and through defeating them we could eventually extract the location of the planet, as it's got a non-standard location. From there we eventually come in to sort it all out, only to find something akin to a political civil war(or just a straight civil war) between droids, wishing to combat organics and not combat organics. TONS of potential with this one IMO.

O,O Jaysus, where do you begin and where do you end? Okay, just let me throw something out here.

Language... We could get really freaky with a machine culture that's built up around the principles of mathematics. Maybe they don't quite speak binary. What if it's some kind of ultra-complex collection of Problems and Equations? Say, in very simplistic terms, one droid asks another "1+1?" Answer being "2" but then launching into "16/2?" and so on. But... Think of it like trying to listen to a conversation doing with complex theoretical physics, differential calculus, and so on? It doesn't make a damn lick of sense to anyone outside of a Givin, but for the machines, it's like speaking in poetry. 'Galactic Basic' for them could seem downright crude, ineloquent. ...Something like that, maaaaybe?

Oh great, I survive the nanoinvasion to join a faction with a droid army planet.

Question : How fast does the planet "wander"? Could the planet itself be a threat to surrounding moons and systems, getting sucked in by their gravity?

What if in its wake is like a titanic debris field, old vessels, wayward comets, asteroids, stuck in the wake of its grav-well?

While I'm intending the planet to be a scrap heap of a bunch of ships put together, I'm not planning on it moving. Can probably justify that the engines have been re-purposed into something else, but any planet sized 'ship' that can move would probably never be approved.

As for surrounding moons and stuff, I was gonna see if I can put them in a blank system, either with no star and other bodies around it or perhaps orbiting a dead star. Because Droids don't need water/heat/air etc. to survive it'd be a perfect place to hide from organics because there's no reason to go there. Other systems . . . I don't know. I've not heard of something getting sucked from one system to another via gravity, but I'm not a huge physicist.

I like where this is going. From what I understand of Binary in star wars it's really only a method of allowing units not programmed with language functions to speak. You give droids the ability to self-program by not wiping their memories, and let them form a language that's comfortable to them rather than organics . . . the potential is definitely there. This sounds cool, but it's something we'd probably have to sit down and think about how to quantify, not to mention RP them speaking. Lots of intrigue here.

Alrighty, let me see if I can kinda paint a picture of where you're going with this. A random ship comes in near the planet. The droids, not wanting their location to be shown, shoot it down with Ion Cannons, strip it of what things they find useful, and then leave the rest as a sort of artificial asteroid belt to impede travelers? Or am I imagining this wrong?

@[member="Seroth Ur-Rahn"] @[member="Judah Dashiell"]

Also revised the moon section, after a discussion with Seroth. There are now three artificial moons, Sine, Cosine, and Tangent, which serve as scanners/communication/defense platforms.

Hey, the less hassle we need to endure, all the better.

In lieu of your previous statement, a dead star system could be perfect~ Perhaps orbiting something like a Hot Jupiter or a Brown Dwarf?

Describing it, unless we have an innate understanding of advance mathematics, is going to be hell on the Muse. I'd say we could just quantify it as a kind of 'Language of Electronic Noise'. Blips, burrs, electric warbles, grunts, bass purrs, and the like. To say, that's how it sounds to ordinary ears.

If we're going with this world being in a general orbit round a dead star, Hot Jupiter, or Brown Dwarf, then a debris 'belt' is probably going to be what we're after. Like a big swollen cloud that's somewhat accreted around the equator. We could call it "The Silent Waste", and we could use it for potential Dev Threads.

Nice idea. I like the idea of a debris 'belt' or 'rings'

Perhaps for Culture? *Coughs and settles atop lectern.*

I like Seroth's idea on dreams, it's new and original.

As for communication, since most droids would be all about efficiency and verbal communication would not be perceived as efficient to them why not have them communicate with each other via something similar to holo-net/internet where communication is done via complex mathematical equations serving as language, but it's done almost instantly.

However, that would make most of the droids mute at first as they would not have a need for a voice-box among each other or when new droids would be made their programming would not be cluttered with unnecessary language knowledge.
But, but, if they would have that instant connection their software could be upgraded with knowledge of language spoken should it have been encountered before by any other droid connected to their holo-net, then it's just a matter if the droid has hardware required to speak or not.

That's just my penny into it, but when I played out HK's adaptations it's basically "Fool me once, shame on me, fool me twice shame on you."

Put up an update, added to most of the sections that didn't have any information, elaborated on a lot of the sections with little information, added a tid bit of culture. History and Culture still need fleshing out IMO, but we're getting a lot closer.

@[member="Jaxton Ravos"]
I think History is virtually finished at that rate, Jax. All I can think of is somehow adding garnishing details, but that's not particularly of massive import. The specifics are there, the transition is there, we could be spending weeks fleshing everything out. We can likely add further details simply through RP, history wise anyhow. And very lovely addition for the culture.

Added another point in the culture just for you @[member="Seroth Ur-Rahn"], and @[member="Turin Val Kur"] brought up a good point that we should probably put in more stuff about Omni. I'll take a look at it later tomorrow(today, maybe, time. Blah. lateness.), and as always any recommendations are always highly appreciated.

Just a cultural suggestion? @[member="Jaxton Ravos"]

Thule's Grey Thesis: In approximately 633 BBY came a released holo-collection that shook the droid collective down to the root of its established conventions. By reason and by nature, organics versus machines was a simple, inherent state of fact. One could not reconcile one state of being with the other, for one was scrape of illogical process governed by rash instinct and the other a series of sublime mechanics operated upon evolved logic. Not so, contended ThU13, a noted thinker with specialties towards organic philosophy, anthropology, and micro-biology. In his papers, titled 'Grey', he made the contentious argument that organics are simply bio-mechanical machines, in fact no different than the intrinsic properties droids held in such high esteem. Yet, an organics 'programming', he argued, was distilled to such a dastardly complex, microscopic essence that it functioned as self-learning, self-writing article of ever changing programming. Evolution for their kind, so he concluded, would reach a burning apex when technical mechanics and bio-organisms merged to form a peak of combined disciplines. The enduring nature of steel, with the innate complexity of deoxyribonucleic acid. ...Controversy followed that saw ThU13, many of his writings and studies, and a despairing number of acolytes lost to a fire of deletion and physical cleansing.

I'm not quite sure how the planet was created. Is it a normal planet they've adapted, or is it an artificial world? If it's a nomad, does it have its own method of propulsion?

@[member="Phylis Alince"]:

My current intent is that the 'planet' is a collection of ships that were dead and deserted by victims of the Gulag Plague, and that it was constructed in a system without a star, or outside of a system completely(Not 100% sure on the definition of 'system', but it has no star). The reasoning for that is that the droids would put it there in order to to better stay out of the way of organics, who typically need to have a sun to be able to set up shop and have decent living conditions. Now that I think about it though there -is- the possibility of making the 'planet' a dyson sphere, thus providing the droids a renewable power source and lowering overall necessary construction. I'm kinda hesitant on putting up a dyson sphere though, just because of the implications that could raise.

I think if it's artificial, this is far too large then. Speaking from my staff POV, building an artificial planet 8000km across would be probably impossible. And a dyson sphere even more so. Remember, the largest artificial structures in Star Wars are the Death Stars, which were less than an 8th of this size, yet took most of the galaxy's resources to build and operate.

Personally I think you'd do better with an asteroid sized object, or simply taking over a lost planet and adapting it.

IMO, it could be quite a bit bigger than the death star, as it was built during a much longer time period. Resources is another issue, but I feel most ships that had their crews die off would be fair game. I picked around 8000K because earth is 13000K and I wanted it a ton smaller then that, but asteroid size is probably a better bet. I'll put in some research and update it later @[member="Phylis Alince"]. Thanks for the analysis.
