Droids and Fire (Metal Lords/CKI Company Mandate Thread)

It was time for Clank and Klunk Industries to grow. The production and testing facilities were running full steam, the head quarters was in perfect functional condition, and the communications facility was chatting up a storm. Now it was time to start setting up places to sell these products across the Galaxy. Graves was speaking with many people and representatives in The Metal Lords, and both ends agreed to set up a location in Metal Lords territory. More specifically, the planet of Ranste, a small, volcanic planet that the Industry could use this location as a store front for CKI products, and to also possibly build droids here later on, once the company grew enough to take that goal on.

But Graves was getting ahead of himself. He wasn't even on the ground yet, as he was still in orbit of the planet, awaiting the arrival of the head of The Metal Lords, [member="HK-36"], who was the being that He would meet here so then they could seal the deal. He also waited for HK-36 mainly so then he could land on the planet with proper reasoning, as he felt like someone with the Metal Lords was watching him, ready to shoot him down the second he tried going down to the planet without the man in question.

It wouldn't take much longer for the other HK droid to arrive in orbit of Ranste and speak with 57. A flash of light in the darkness of the void surrounding the planet would announce his arrival as HK's personal stealth transport, the Knight of the Eclipse, entered real-space without its stealth systems activated, after all it was in friendly territory coming to speak with an ally, or a business partner at least. Few minutes more and 57 would receive notification that 36's sleek matte black vessel was preparing to dock with him so that the two of them could speak.

Finding himself aboard Graves' ship HK would enter, clad in his now usual organic and chitinous black armor like a layer of sickly hardened skin and armored plates covering his silvery Phrik body, with a heavy black cloak cascading off of his shoulders. He would be accompanied by his four Greycloak guards in similar suits of Vong-shaped armor, their cloaks however were, fittingly enough, grey instead of black.

"HK-57, Graves,"

He would greet the other machine once Graves would come to meet with him in person once their two ships docked,

"It is good to speak with you in person, especially considering the interest of your enterprise in establishing itself within Droid Space under protection of the Metal Lords. Please, tell me about your Clank and Klunk Industries."

Without even being able to contemplate on what just happened, HK-57's ship was boarded by [member="HK-36"]'s, and he was soon on board his vessel.
HK-36 said:

"Greeting: Ah, 36, A pleasure to meet you at last."

"Answering Explanation: Clank and Klunk industries mainly produces Weaponry and Vehicles purposely developed, engineered, and sold for the use of warfare against meat bags who you want dead."

The droid nodded, analyzing what HK-57 told him about his company,

"Fascinating indeed, we could always use more weapons, however our infantry is already quite dangerous to organics on the field of battle, it does not take much for even a basic drone machine soldier to crush multiple organics during engagement."

The droid would explain, motioning deeper into 57's vessel to ask the other droid to give him a slight tour or get them going down to the planet so they could tour the volcanic world and the site where CKI would set up,

"What we are lacking right now in are vehicles, especially armored ones, such as tanks, walkers, and artillery. Myself and the other Metal Lords would be especially interested in funding and supporting your company's development if you could show us some of your designs and would be willing to supply us with these heavy armored units to expand our arsenal."

HK informed 57, while most Metal Lords were busy designing and expanding their armies, soldiers specifically, few of them took time to design new armored vehicles to complement their soldiers, or make them available to other Lords.

"Answer: Ah, Well, We do have vehicles, Including the City Breaker, Hellstormer, and others that are being designed. All of these will be sold on this store front...although the City Breaker will be restricted to only one, due to the production value of them."

He listened to [member="HK-36"] explain that he and the Metal Lords didn't need weapons as badly as they needed vehicles. HK-57 did explain only some vehicles in their stocks, as he didn't want to say all of them now. He was willing to talk some more about prices, as all prices are negotiable per unit.

"I would love to have a look at your existing designs then, and talk about the CKI designing something specifically for Metal Lords in the future, perhaps a mass-produced main battle tank type to reinforce our infantry with affordable armor units."

The droid would propose to 57, outlining one of the needs the Lords were looking to fulfill. Of course the Metal Lords were willing to pay pretty much any price, as turns out droids made really good accountants and merchants, quickly climbing their small section of space in the ranks of wealthiest powers within the Galaxy at the current time.

"Are we still waiting for other representatives to join us, or do you feel ready to come down to Ranste's surface and inspect possible sites for your company to establish their presence and facilities there?"

HK offered next, as much as talking and negotiations were fun, it was always good, in the droid's perception especially, to cut right to the chase and get down to business.

"Statement: I would be glad to go and inspect the proposed Storefront location."

"Invitation: Lead the way, HK-36"

HK-57 basically ignored [member="HK-36"]'s questions about other representatives, as there were none at this moment in time under his employ. He went back to the controls after Shaking HK-36's hand, and prepared to follow his ship down to the surface...one he undocked from his own, of course.

36 nodded at 57's agreement to inspect the ground location and for him to lead the way.

"Sounds like a plan."

THe machines would then part ways, going back to their own vessels respectively before their ships lowered down through the atmosphere. The sky of Ranste was as black as HK's cloak, thick ash clouds billowing out from the numerous super-volcanoes that dotted the planet and hanged over the glowing lakes and rivers of molten magma that broke apart the blackened land of obsidian, basalt, and rich metal.

57 wasn't the first to settle the planet by the sponsorship of Metal Lords, as some minor mining and power generation facilities were already built on the planet, one of them they were heading to right now. The facility which would become part of 57's new locale was a mine and a droid foundry, its previous owner was rather easily persuaded to hand it over to CKI after 36 bribed him with a rather handsome amount of Droid Credits. It was built in the traditional Metal Lord style, black skeletal spires extending out from the rock and magma into the skies, connecting the structure through arches and domes, creating hallways and basilicas in between structures fashioned out from re purposed carcasses of ships the droids managed to found wandering through the void of space. The main portion of the platform was clearly an old hull of a Munificent-class frigate, sealed shut to form a large dome with a viewing platform extending over a lake of lava, while its wings were now built into the side of a black mountain next to which this facility sat, forming the two major landing pads on which the droid ships could now land and meet with each other once more to begin the tour.
