SPECIAL FEATURES
  • N/A
STRENGTHS
  • Fields of Fire: After the initial explosion of plasma there is left behind a roaring plasma blaze for several dozen meters which can burn even in space. If used atmosphere this blaze will, over the course of an hour, burn down to more mundane flames that will continue to burn the countryside. If used in space this blaze typically lasts about thirty minutes.
  • Super-Heated Mayhem: The initial explosion and subsequent fire is hot enough to melt through most types of metal used in armor, even phrik and beskar.
WEAKNESSES
  • Easily Diffused: Most types of shields have little effort in absorbing and diffusing the plasma, making the bombs incredibly ineffective against shields.
  • Immobile: The flame and plasma left behind after the explosion is known to melt through some of the most durable of metals, but that requires time. If the blaze is actively counteracted with cooling attempts or an object or person moves or is removed from the effected area fast enough the plasma will not have had long enough to make a significant impact.
  • Non-Guided: The Dral'tracinya is unguided. It lands where it is dropped and cannot course correct. This means particularly fast or agile targets can avoid the weapon should they be aware of its destination.
DESCRIPTION
The Dral'tracinya, or 'Eternal Flame' in Mando'a, type bomb is a devastating weapon devised in the secret weapons labs of the Hurikane Mining Corporation by Manti's command. The bomb is attributed to an anonymous inventor within the Mandalorian Metalsmith's Guild to hide its origin and to defuse any moral outrage at its inventors. Regardless, the weapon while incredibly effective is a weapon of terror meant to strike fear in the hearts of Mandalore's enemies. It is no mere deterrent however, Mandal Hypernautics is not afraid to make the Dral'tracinya standard kit for their starships.

I actually really like this idea. Its reminding me heavily of various "Hot bombs" that left fire in its wake. However, you are using Plasma to do this. Which is cool. I want to see this approved. So to get it there we need to talk.

Alright so small little problem here. The bomb you made is capable of melting Phrik and Beskar. Which I don't know if you know, is incredibly hot.

Mind you, Phrik, which to some people is considered lesser metal than Beskar, Was able to survive being exploded on a planet... Which if you don't know, is an absolute ridiculous amount of energy. In fact, to blow up the earth it requires 225 Nonillion Joules. Which is 225 with 32 zeroes. Beskar, could survive re-entry levels of heat at a mere 1 mm thickness due to being worn by Neo-Crusaders and just dropping from space on their Basalisk droids with no energy shielding...

So here is what I think will do what you want without removing this capability.

List a weakness that in order to reach the heats required, the plasma is needed to be sustained by either more bombs being dropped, or a lack of action taken to remove ones's self from the afflicted area. You already have it most of the way there, with the "Easily diffused" weakness.

I am asking this because clearly, its a metal. It can be forged and shaped into armor. How does one do that? A slow and tedious process of heating the metal up and shaping it. That heating up isn't trying to melt it down into goo, nor is the heating process going to melt the armor. We aren't making Cast-Beskar. So that means in order to melt it, it needs to be INSANELY hot. for a longer period of time than just the initial hit/impact.

Like I said earlier, this is a cool concept I want to see. Its thought out enough and has backing. Just needing to clarify how people could potentially fight against this. Otherwise, I fear someone would use this and claim its an Auto-delete button for anyone wearing mando armor. Which is not what the site is about.
