SPECIAL FEATURES
- Longer Grip: The blade is longer than an average lightsaber hilt. Most hilts are designed to be hand and a half length, or two handed length. This blade was designed to be a hand and a half length for a slightly larger individual, resulting in the hilt being two and a half hand lengths for the average human.
- Special Matrix: The Crystal matrix within was designed by a master artisan, and is as much a work of art as the hilt's exterior.
- Runic Hilt: The hilt bears runes all along its length. The language is unknown to all but its creator, and thus its meaning has been lost to history
- Chromatic Blade: The Crystals are highly attuned to the Force, and will alter the color of the blade, depending on the owner of the lightsaber. (The blade was Violet when Voph first forged it, eventually softening to a deep blue as he accepted a more peaceful mindset when out of combat. Eventually, it transitioned to a sickly white after he sustained an injury that damaged his connection to the Force).
- Beskar Hilt: The hilt was forged from a chuck of Beskar, recovered by the creator during a visit to Mandalore. This allows for a more resilient hilt, harder damage in combat.
- Longer blade: Not much longer than the average blade, the lightsaber was designed with a longsword style in mind. Intended to utilize the bearer's strength and ferocity, moreso than agility and dexterity.
- Longer Hilt: The oversized hilt makes it harder to utilize effectively, requiring the user to adapt a different fighting style than the average lightsaber.
- Cortosis Liability: Cortosis in its raw form will cause the blade to deactivate.
- No Snorkel: This lightsaber, as with any model, will not function underwater.
- Resistant materials: The lightsaber has difficulty slicing through stronger metals such as Beskar and Phrik
Originally forged some time during the Dread War, this blade served as Darth Voph's personal blade for the rest of his career. Others were created and used, but this blade stood as the first he'd ever forged himself and thus was always his favorite. Variants were crafted over the years, and eventually a twin blade was crafted to allow Voph the ability to utilize two sabers at once. This twin has since been lost in a skirmish during the Zakuul War.
After Voph's death, it was to be passed on to his successor. However, his successor had cut all ties to the family and disappeared, so the blade was passed to his wife instead. It remained in her possession until it was recovered from her reliquary nearly five thousand years after the death of its original owner.
