BIOGRAPHY:
The youngest sons of Durin IV and his wife Vala, the twins Dorin and Darin were born nearly fifteen years after their next closest brother. During her pregnancy Vala prayed to the gods that her baby would be close to his brothers, the gods answered by giving her twins.
Like their brothers Dorin and Darin Durinson grew up in Hardhaven where they trained at martial arts and tactics, learned the history of their people, and worshiped the gods. Unlike their brothers however they were not the sons of the Alpha but the sons of the former Alpha, before they were born their eldest brother had ascended to the title of Alpha of Clan Kanaka. Being the youngest brothers of a new Alpha and having almost zero claim to the title meant the boys were practically ignored at court, thought they were treated well there were no crowds of people placing wagers when they entered the training circle like there had been for their brothers but if they did not have the eye of the court they had each other.
Unlike their brothers as well, the twins grew up in a time of great turmoil in the lands ruled by Clan Kanaka. Three years before their birth their brother Declan challenged his brother's right to rule and that very same night went mysteriously missing.
The disappearance of Durin's IV second son was the first of many dark tidings under the reign of Durin V but for many of these events Dorin and Darin were only pups and played no part and so we skip ahead to the twins' fifteenth year. Their eldest brother the Alpha was to the south with an army putting down yet another rebellion while their brother Dorian, captain of The Alpha's guard led his own troops against a raiding party from The Wilds.
As the forces were split and the two strongest warriors were away a group of rebel sympathizers were able to steal into the great hall of the Kanaka clan where they planned to assassinate the matriarch and her young son. Were it not for the skill and bravery of Dorin and Darin that most heinous plot may have succeeded but the two young wolves rose to occasion and defended the lives of their good-sister and nephew, cutting the assassins down to a man. After that day the skalds, singers, and many of the young women referred to the twins as Dashing & Daring.
The twins have now joined with their once missing brother Declan in a quest to find their Alpha, their brother, Durin V who has become a captive of the Fayth, the ancient enemy of all lupo.
