Description:
Lorane Azure is a terrible pilot. He can crash anything with a steering wheel. So, he made himself an alternative form of flight. His jet boots aren't the best option for sustained flight, with the major issue being that after about ten minutes, the batteries and engine have to recycle and recharge themselves for the same amount of time. The absolute maximum amount of time they can run for is twenty minutes, but that burns out the power system and would require repairs. Also, they are extremely bulky, and weigh around five kilograms, which is far heavier than most boots (even armored ones) do.

The upside to all that is that Lorane can travel at a speed similar to that of a civilian airspeeder, propelled by relatively powerful jets. The repulsorlifts in the soles of the boots provide a way to maneuver during flight, and can be used without activating the jets, as they have a separate power system. The boots themselves have rather heavy armor plating on them, protecting both Lorane's legs and the internal workings of the flight system.

(Wait, should I have done this as an armor sub?)
