Ryv
Streaks of light became stellar pinpoints as the Emerald Explorer exited hyperspace and returned to realspace. Kir gazed up ahead as a dark green ball with swirling white clouds was visible. A jungle planet, immediately, his mind took him back to Myrkr, and how it changed him. He had no idea whether it was for the better or for worse, but it had happened, and it had a profound affect on his outlook, not just on the Jedi, but the Sith and on life in general. Turning to Ryv in the co-pilots seat, he managed a small yet troubled smile. Ryv Karis was a hero among the Jedi and the Alliance, and he'd always looked up to him, wanted to be like him. At times, more so than his own Master.
"Thanks for agreeing to accompany me Master. It truly is an honour." He said, adding in a respectful nod for good measure.
Gunning the throttle up to 80 percent, the light freighter zipped towards the planet. "Coming in to land." Activating his main deflectors, for a moment, the ship was baked in a red glow of fire as they passed through atmosphere, eventually becoming enveloped by the misty fog of the surface. He hovered around for a bit, before finally finding a clearing fit to land in, flicking a switch on his right panel to activate the landing gear as he touched down with a light thud.
Kir leaned back in his chair, pondering on what to do next. He was a pretty sure he was at the right place, that the cave was near here. Auteme had offered him some records and a book, but he'd refused. Knowing that he couldn't hold it off any longer, he opened up the ship, the ramp coming down with a decisive hydraulic hissing sound. He rose up from his seat, heading out into the clearing of the jungle. The fog was much stronger and he struggled to navigate through it. He only had two allies here, Ryv and the Force. Kneeling down on the ground, he closed his eyes and breathed, letting the Force flow through him once more, the animals scurrying around, the energy of the trees, it all almost seemed to radiate. Then like on Coruscant, he felt a dark wave pass by him.
"We're near." He told his companion, getting up and leering out into the distance.
Suddenly, his facial expression changed to one of forlorn and regret. "How do you do it, Master Karis, you're a hero of the Jedi, how do you deal with all the pressure. With everyone expecting you to have all the answers?" After the Mykr debacle, he'd been having bouts of self-doubt. Lapses in his self confidence, whether he'd ever even become a Jedi Knight. It had been almost consuming, he'd usually volunteer for all sorts of crazy missions but not in this past few days, no, he'd spent most of his time in his dorm at the Temple meditating. It had brought him some solace and calm, as meditating usually did, but it had not brought back his self confidence as self worth.
