Do I Need To Approve My Character's First Lightsaber?

I was a little concerned when earlier I saw I factor weapon for a characters lightsaber. I already have one for my character, but it completely slipped my mind having to send it through the factory. Do I still have to do that or is something that I don't have to be concerned about?

Short answer: No.

If it's a vanilla laser stick then you're golden. If it is modified in such a manner that it can, for example, resist being turned off by cortosis, then a submission would be in order. Some like to submit their sabers for the sake of having a piece of tangible lore linked in their signature or wherever.

But again, unless there's anything out of the ordinary about your saber, there is no need/requirement to post a factory submission.

The factory is entirely optional unless you are requested by an RPJ to submit an item to be reviewed.
