BACKGROUND

One would expect the life of a noble to be easy, but Adelda's life had been predetermined from the moment of her conception. Born as a "back up," donor baby, and substitute for her elder sister, the successor of her family, Adelda was overly sheltered to preserve her body for use in medical transplants, and she was strictly regulated. She got an education, was to attend to her beauty, and was a pretty face hidden in the background in case the family needed her. Her body was used as a decoy target for assassins, and she was taught her entire life that her destiny was to protect her sister, to be her sister. She was not her own person, she was a tool for the family.
