Disguise for a former sith

Is what Salis currently looks like. If you took off the mask you'd see scars formed over her mouth. This is all a result of going heavily into the dark side, and it was something she semi-embraced, but still hid, often wearing the rebreather or a veil over her mouth to hide it.

Now I don't intend, at least yet, to change that this is what she actually looks like. but I do kind of want to have her try and hide it, it's been something she's been doing for a while now already, using a full mask, or the rebreather/veil almost all the time. I want her to try and get some kind of disguise, or exterior skin, that can make her look kind of like how she used to look. Which would be more like 70dd3ad1b50058c3193c2fabd2e69dac.jpg that or 6468c4da0e33c90fe6ac7f7d26dcd3c2.jpg. (there are a good few pictures that work well for it, I'll use more then one).

Basically I want Salis to go on a sort of side search to find out how to hide or reverse this (even if that is not actually accomplished). And ahead of time, I don't want to use a dark side ability like Mask or an illusion to accomplish this. So any ideas on this would be wonderful, any characters who have the type of tech or medical stuff, or heck even just doing an rp about her search even if nothing comes of it for her IC intentions, is all stuff I'm looking for.

Her hair I can probably just say she dyes. The skin is a little more troublesome as saying she put son extensive makeup everyday would just seem odd to me and out of character for her combative style.

Cant really hide darkside degradation unless you use makeup, sith alchemy or sith magics to my knowledge. You could say that your sith turned away from the darkside and to the light for a time but that wouldnt fix it all and would take awhile. Well she certainly hasn't turned to the light. Maybe she will one day, she hasn't this day. But she has stopped using it excessively. And it's not like the dark side corrupts everyone visually, Count Dooku got out of it pretty well.

I'm thinking maybe some kind of synthetic skin or something might work temporarily, that way I can have her appear to be more normal, but perhaps intense temperatures or damage can take it off. Or a straight up operation of some kind that would do it, and since she doesn't use it excessively, it wouldn't necessarily come back.

If you wanna go the plastic I'd say go with some kind of silicon based prosthetic, or even go full cyberpetic and have something like this. But then again that seems a little extreme to cover up some scaring. But hey, maybe there could be some kind of enhancement that comes with. Heck, if you wanna RP it out I can have my character shoot off that old scared up mouth, that way in character it gets something done not by choice, but by necessity.

Plus I've always felt like cybernetics were a bit underused here on Chaos.

Goodness, that is rather intense, although that would be pretty interesting for sure. We'd definitely need to figure out a good reason for it but I think it could be interesting to see something like that happen.

And yeah I'd actually agree on that cybernetics tend to be underused. Cybernetics are awesome.

I mean...Dax is experimenting with Life Transfer stuff right...growing clones based off of a donor (in this case that'd be Salis). They wouldn't have any of the Dark Side corruption, and if a Life Transfer is successful, congrats you have a shiny new, uncorrupted body. Could always look at that route?

Hm, that's certainly also an interesting idea. Maybe at some point, though I don't think I'll do it immediately. What I think I might do is go along with the damage received from the situation she came across, and then as she receives more injuries, she wants to try and find a way out of the body since it's becoming steadily more corrupted/damaged. So switching to a clone seems like it'd be useful.

Thanks, I'll probably try and wait until after Salis's Ambria thread where I intend for her to get pretty badly injured, and then maybe work on that.
