Please share your thoughts on the proposed Dominion Guidelines.
New rules have been handed down by the staff changing the way Dominions operate. This comes at the same time as we have had an increased demand for rank-and-file members to have a say in the expansion of the First Order through Dominions. The staff have considered these changes and have determined that any member may propose a Dominion by completing the form contained at the bottom of this post in the thread below. Please note that the faction staff will expect you to have considered all the requirements for a Dominion before submitting the proposal.
In order for your proposal to be considered, you must provide an outline of the story that includes a beginning, a middle, and an ending. The story must make sense and come to a conclusion wherein the First Order establishes control over the planet. The member proposing the Dominion will be expected to move the story along. The proposal's story outline should contain a plot outline as well as some timing guidance (around how many posts will it take to reach each story beat -- to provide guidance to the other members participating in the Dominion). Bring Your Own Objectives should be discouraged because the aim of Dominions isn't just to spam posts, but to tell a story. The person proposing the Dominion must take responsibility for crafting that story.
As a general note for the story, the temptation to create something multi-layered and complex is strong, and of course if you can achieve this you are welcome to do so. However, for your first Dominion proposal, please try to keep things simple to both ease your way into the process and make things simple and straightforward for the writers who are participating in it. Speaking of other members, the person proposing the Dominion should also recruit members and obtain a commitment from them to participate in the Dominion. Shoot for a minimum of three members, but more is always better. Avoid low-effort posts in favor of rich storytelling.
Please note: Failure to follow through on a proposed Dominion may prevent Faction Staff from approving future Dominion proposals, so please be prepared to complete what you propose in a timely manner!

Planet in Hex: Identify the planet/hex being Dominated. A snip from the map is helpful but optional.
Committed Members: Tag member who have committed to participating.
Story Synopsis: Include a brief (1-2 sentence) description of the story for the Dominion.
Story Outline: This can be in bulletpoint format or paragraph format, depending on what works for you. Either way, this must provide a useful guideline for where the story is going and the rate at which you'd like the story to proceed. Of course there is some room for flexibility and revision during the actual Dominion, but we should have some idea of the route you want your story to take and how long it will take to meet your story beats (at the very least, midpoint and ending).
