During the period of time when the Master of Insight, originator of the Order of the Burning Veil, taught his twelve Disciples on both Force Balance and weapon combat he also aided them in constructing their future weapons. The primary material of this weapon was Beskar, which he never fully said where he got it from. The rest of the weapon's components were multiple systems to sharpen the blade and strengthen it against armour. The final addition was a system that would cause the blade's edge to gain a Lightsaber like quality, a coating of plasma similar to a standardized Lightsaber, but with the edge being covered for more control of the energy's extreme cutting edge. Whilst this was a more heavier way to construct a Lightsaber, it would also work effectively in an EMP were to disable its systems, leaving the wielder with a still functioning weapon.
Each Disciple, in accordance with the Master's wish for each to own one of these weapons, possesses a blade of this type with a different colour from the Kyber Crystal. The primary colours are Green, Blue, Darker blue, Yellow, Orange, Purple, Red, and White. Each crystal was chosen by the wielder before construction was completed just as a Jedi Youngling would have done.
