The Directorate Intelligence Bureau was established in Late 859 ABY in the aftermath of a Skirmish over Pijal in which saw a group of Prospectors and a Jedi disrupt a Mining Operation on the Moon of Pijal resulting in Maracel moving forth to establish the DIB in order to prevent any sort of occurrences. Placed under the command of Natian Sanorge , the DIB would move forth to engage in early skirmishes against groups such as elements of the Eternal Fleet over Hoth and the Catharian Hegemony over Zoph seeing great success during these Confrontations. In addition the DIB Special Operations Divison had been able to successfully capture it's first fugitive recently in the name of Jerec Asyr who had been wanted for attacks against the DIB with his friend Cole Merrill. Now the DIB is poised to launch further strikes to ensure that no one shall dare challenge them in the future.

- Description: The DIB serves as a semi-independent branch of the Directorate mainly operating beyond the Core Worlds with the objective to defend the interests of the Directorate and to determine potential enemies to the Directorate and eliminate them swiftly.

- Hierarchy: The DIB is headed by the Chairman in which has sole control over the entire organization and who is loyal to the Director of the Directorate. From the Chairman we have 3 Branches of the DIB. Military Operations , Espionage Operations , Proxy Operations.
- Military Operations is headed by the High Commander who is in charge of all of the Military Operations of the DIB. Under the High Commander there is the Fleet Commandant and the Major General with the Fleet Commander being in charge of an entire Fleet and a Major General assigned to an Army. Below both Fleet Commander and Major Generals is the General Officer in which is in command of a single Ship or small Fleets in case of the Navy and in command of Small Military Formations for the Army.
- Espionage Operations is headed by the Spymaster who coordinates all Espionage Operations conducted by the DIB. Under the Spymaster there would be the rank of General Officer in which would be in charge of commanding a cell of Spies in an assigned region. The Rank of General Officer however can only be gifted to the best of Espionage Agents of the DIB.
- Proxy Operations is perhaps one of the least active branches in the DIB. Mostly used for influencing Politics , the Proxy Operations finds itself under joint Military and Espionage leadership as it mostly collaborates with both Branches to achieve it’s goals.
- Membership: 90,000 Members
- Climate: The Members of the DIB follow a No-Revelation Policy in which each Membert is not to reveal their intentions no matter what or he would be considered a Traitor. Each member produly follows this policy even if it results in the deaths of their comrades.
- Reputation: The DIB is mostly distrusted by many groups and organizations having even gained the attention of major factions such as the Silver Jedi and the OPA.
