Strengths:
[+] Thanks to an AI module implanted into his brain, the Director-General has no problem calculating probabilities and relative fleet power numbers.
[+] Prolonged Lifespan: Thanks to former synthetic implants and amazing natural fitness, Manndorf can potentially live for hundreds of years. Unless someone preemptively cuts him up, that is.
[+] Combat Creativity: This individual can display great feats of combat creativity at times.

Weaknesses:
[-] Two minds: The AI module in Gerhard’s brain has developed a personality. In fact, it has a few opinions and desires of it’s own.
[-] Systematic: Although Gerhard has the potential for creativity, his AI module IX-98 doesn’t. This makes Gerhard act awfully systematically at times.
[-] Never tell me the odds: Gerhard takes odds too seriously, and as such prefers to take minimal risks. It also means that he might not expect insane and irrational tactics that may be conceived by the enemy.

Physical Appearance:
Standing 1 meter 89 centimeters tall, Gerhard Manndorf is an average sized specimen of the human species. Pale skinned, with short, black hair, his eyes glow in an unnatural grey colour. This comes as no surprise however, due to the fact that his body is covered in various cybernetic and synthetic implants, designed to enhance the capabilities of the inferior flesh and bone body. An AI implant is installed into his brain, forming a stripe of glowing metal down the centerline of his skull. His left hand is completely replaced by a prosthetic made of durasteel. It houses an advanced system that can be connected directly to a ship’s main computer. The ship’s main systems can therefore be monitored and controlled from the unit.

Manndorf’s service uniform consists of a finely crafted admiral’s attire in navy blue, decorated with gold linings and buttons. Rank insignia are displayed on the left shoulder, as is standard for many militaries in the universe. His uniform is always kept in perfect shape, meticulously ironed and cleaned by Gerhard personally.

His out of service attire, on the other hand, consists of various garments, all decorated with various expensive jewelries and precious stones. Each of his garments also bears the Manndorf technocracy crest, which clearly shows connections to the aristocratic elite.

Psychological analysis:

Gerhard Manndorf rarely shows much emotion. It is thought by many that he simply does not have the ability to express any, however it is simply a side effect from having an AI unit built into the brain. Gerhard is very calm and collected, and much prefers a “play it safe” attitude, however he can show great feats of creativity when forced between a rock and a hard place. Manndorf is a commanding presence wherever he goes, a strong aura of leadership radiating from him everywhere. He respects the chain of command and never questions orders directly, and expects the same of his subordinates. It takes a lot of work to gain the respect of this man, however when you do, you get yourself a fearless and loyal ally whom you can certainly count on.

However, it has been known that Manndorf never puts individuals or personal feelings above a mission, so if he is faced between a choice of a person (no matter how close) or the mission, he will have to go on with the operation. Gerhard is all about efficiency, and in this way he will always truly deliver.

Manndorf’s emotionless nature also allows him to ruthlessly make decisions that would make other men of his position squirm and question themselves. He can order the glassing of a planet without flinching or hesitating if it is important for the success of the mission. That is not to say that it wouldn’t haunt him later, but he could definitely do it.

All things taken into account, Manndorf is a very scary enemy to face, but sometimes you might fear him more as an ally than as an opponent in battle.

Biography:
Born in the aristocratic house of Manndorf, Gerhard was always looked upon as a promising continuation of the family line who would bring glory to the CIS based technocracy. He received the highest education that a man could get since the age of 6 years old. His father, Albert Manndorf, demanded a lot from his son. He loved him dearly, but sometimes it was too much. Eventually, the pressure snapped Manndorf’s mind, and led him to fleeing the family.

At the age of 17, he stole a transport and left the family home.

After years of travel, Manndorf eventually landed on the fortress world of Nelvaan. First labelled a refugee, he was captured, but eventually released and recruited into the Eternal Empire’s Naval Corps. It wasn’t the best of treatment, but it was certainly better than hours upon hours of textbook study daily. In addition to that, Manndorf was already well versed in military tactics and doctrine, thanks to extensive education he received years ago.

All theoretical courses were passed with flying colours, and Manndorf wasn’t falling behind on the technical part either. He eventually got recruited in to the 72nd starfighter corps, where he served for 3 years.

He eventually received a promotion, and became a squadron commander within the 72nd, prior to another reassignment in which he was moved to the 101st starfighter corps, an elite group devoted solely to the testing and operation of highly expensive and secret experimental starfighters. There he served for an additional 4 years before being reassigned into fleet command. First being the captain of a small destroyer, the ISSV (Imperial Secret Space Vessel) Chekura, and eventually becoming the fleet commander of the 3rd fleet, the larger scale counterpart of the 101st starfighter corps.

There he serves to this day, taking part in regular testing exercises and the development of innovative technology for the Imperial Navy.
