Dinner and a show

Salina Aviner

Seeing is believing, but one must see first.
Salina's travels had brought her all the way out to Rakata Beta, a more tropical planet in the regions of space. It wasn't the first time she'd been to one of the hotter planets though it wasn't her more ideal spots to stay for a while, at least not with her current wardrobe. While she usually wore the long dark hood and robe along with the corset and boots this tropical weather would likely be the death of her in clothing like that. Thankfully she'd been prepared enough and bought more suitable clothing, a small dark shirt and a suitable skirt reaching to her knees. She intended to stay for at least three days, doing what she could for those she could. As she walked through the main city she'd landed in Salina had her amphistaff Xira extended out like a cane which she used as her walking stick, given that she was blind of course. She enjoyed the climate while she could, sensing the different auras of the people she passed, sensing if there were those who needed a little word of guidance or were contempt with allowing the ways of the galaxy to work on their own. However she did stop when her stomach began to growl ferociously, making her rub it for a moment. She hadn't eat for sometime. Not since the last stop she'd been to. And she needed more food for Xira to boot. She hoped this planet had a decent place to purchase just that.

Shinju had been alerted by her servants that there was a person here. It wasn't often others came here to visit, even the rest of the Fringe avoided it but there were quite a number of things that could be said about it. The tropical location let some tasty food be made and the slave raids of neighboring systems were welcome to keep plenty going. Shinju walked letting her servants going along the path as she checked only a few things that needed to be checked. The new restaurant was working properly while she went about it all and traversed the small city seeing what advanced the orders and all the information. She went into the place taking the second floor while she looked out at the ocean and had a smile on her face. A wonderful place to catch a bite.

Salina had been stopped when two people, women from the sounds of their voices, had offered to escort her to the restaurant, more of a means of promotion than anything else. Feeling it the best option Salina agreed and allowed the two to lead her on. When they arrived Salina took a small corner table and sat down, waiting for her waiter to arrive in order to tell her what was on the menu. While waiting she looked about, seeing the other people nearby and their auras. Some seemed to have a twinge of anxiety about them while others were more complacent. Odd. When the waiter had arrived Salina instantly asked for small bit of meat for her amphistaff. As to anything else she waited to hear what was on the menu before ordering.

Shinju continued to obverse the place from her seat. It was interesting and now... well now she was intrigued when she had been told there was someone feeding vong tech in here. The place certainly attracted the strangest group of people and she was more then welcoming the idea of just sitting there but vong tech was some fun stuff. Their embraces of pain were something she enjoyed and grafting armor to the bones and body sent shivers down her spine. Giving a look to the majority of the restaurant shinju checked the menu. Everything was in order as it were for them, the rarest house special cuts of meat. Gotten from some of the finest cattle in the Unknown regions, blood soup for health, blood wine for flavor and all the fixen. The standard fare for eating a fine full course meal. Her grin came while the wine was brought out to her with a smile. "Perfect and find this person with vong equipment I want to meet them."

After hearing what was on the menu Salina simply ordered for soup with a water. Once it arrived, along with the pouch of meat for Xira, Salina had only eaten half before the arrival of o e of the servants. "I am sorry to interrupt your meal, ma'am. But Miss @Shinjū Aÿasha , the owner of the establishment, would like a word with you." Agreeing to see her Salina grabbed her amphistaff, as it was still disguised as a walking stick, and was escorted to the floor where Shinju was. Once she arrived the first thing she felt was the dark side. It hung around her like a black inky cloud as it always tended to do around those who embraced it. Not showing any sign Salina simply stood where she was, her staff in front of her and it's end on the ground. The servant bowed to his master before exiting and leaving both alone.

Shinju heard the woman arrive and she raised an eyebrow turning her head to look at Salina. Her gaze traveled along the woman from her cloths to her boots and back up while she took in the staff and then spoke a small purr in her voice. "Welcome please sit and enjoy the food is a wonderfully cut piece of meat." Her smiled remained while she turned in her seat and slid the napkin up to dap at her mouth. There was more then enough from the blood on the rare cut but the wine and the soup. She wondered what the woman would eat while placing the napkin back on the table. "Such a wonderful pet, you have there. Where did you get one such as it."

"Thank you." Salina said with as pleasant a smile as possible. Still acting blind she used Xira to make her way over to the table before figuring out where the seat was. Once she sat and heard the offer for more food she said "Thank you, but I've had enough as it is. Just something to drink would be nice." Salina had been petting the top of Xira's head when she'd asked about where she'd gotten her. "I bought her off a smuggler many years ago." She answered simply while looking in her direction. "I'm sorry, I didn't get the name. It's...?" she asked, trying to know exaclty who she was dealing with.

Shinju paid attention with her eyes following the snake and the woman. A smuggler? Well that was not as fun, she would have preferred some place where vong tech was discarded and the stuff living. No matter she poured some of the wine and held up up and then near while allowing the glass to clink on the plate. She didn't really work with blind ones but there was plenty she could tell her while she listened. Then the question of her name came. "I am Shinjū Aÿasha the empress of this planet and one of the knights in the Fringe."

Salina was even more surprised with the revelation of who she was. The empress of the planet and one of the Fringe knights. And yet also a Sith, and a strong one from what she could sense from her. Still she had her composure to keep, not wanting to risk causing a scene here and now. Salina stood for a moment and said "Then I am honored to have be summoned by you, madam. It's not often I find myself in royal presence." She sat back down and reached out for the wine before sipping it, humming a bit with the taste rolling off her tongue.

Shinju gave a nod of her head while she looked for reactions, her hands went to her glass as she took a sip. "Well I don't wholly enjoy it, the ability to torture those who displease me has its value and there is the servants who I can use to please me but there isn't enough. I miss my old life, roaming around, burning those who annoyed me, slicing itno the gut of a lecherous hump and tearing the throat out of annoying children. You know girly things."

Salina still kept her composure, despite the unsettling feeling in her guy when she explained all the "joys" she had of roaming about the galaxy as she herself did. She was starting to see what type of Sith she really was, and understanding why the dark side was so thick around her. She merely put the glass down and said "I see." Xira, almost sensing something off, slithered from Salina's hand up her sleeve for protection and rest, Salina not showing and worry for it. "So, madam, what is it you want with me exactly? I trust my reputation for fortune telling hasn't caught up to me all the way out here."

Shinju looked at Salina as she spoke and the woman was looking upon her. Her snake was moving around her and a smile crept upon her face. "Well I have heard no reputation yet, but when I heard a woman was here with Vong biotechnology. It was of interest to me as something I could implement in my tender mercies to the slaves who disobeyed my Empresses whims." Shinju cut another piece of the meat and sat there closing her eyes while she ate it and licked her lips. "Now come my sweet do you have time to stay if you can tell fortunes perhaps there will be some credits in your future."

"Yes." she said, trying to hide the shiver that ran down her spine when she called her "my sweet". "I can see the future, almost as well as I see the past. And I see your past, Miss Ayasha. Every dark day that you brought upon others. I see so many things about you, and it makes me wonder what I will see in store for you." She held out one hand and said "If you still wish to know, then pay. Otherwise you can leave your future in destiny's hands, trailing through your path in the shadow of the future without a light for guidance."

Shinju laughed at that, a gentle one that was sweet and dripped with her own brand of crazy. Her hand came out going upwards while she just stared at Salina and then spoke. "Oh my dear, you have no idea truly the things I have done or can do. You'll be paid regardless. Now lets see your talent." Her eyes locked on the woman while the free hand motioned with a snap for one of the rakata near her. "See that she is paid"

"Let e see your hands." Salina asked, holding both of hers out now. When Shinju placed them on her Salina took a very deep breath and closed her eyes. She shook her head while saying "So much blood. So much pain. The road you walk is littered with it. Where others would take uneasy steps down this way you skip across it as if through a field of flowers. There are no paths for you to turn for they have all been destroyed. There is no way of going back, not without your own strength to find the way. But you cannot turn back for something dark and terrible is waiting if you do. There is only forward. Only onward to darkness, where you will be content." She opened hr eyes and moved her hands away, silent afterwards.

Shinju looked at the woman as she held her hands and stared at her. The words are funny cause why should she ever want to go back. All that waited for her was... Nothing it was unimportant. She cared not for what she had done though it did add to the feelings of euphoria she had at her hands. She could so enjoy herself with this one. Lock her in a room and let her imagine all the delicious things that would be coming from her. "Hahaha" Shinju laughed while letting her hands come back before finishing her wine. "Oh how delicious so much fun but I do not skip through blood and flesh. I devour it, the screams echo lour in the halls of the castle and here as well." Her eyes flicked to the table while the credits clinked on the plate for the woman.

After hearing the mention of screaming and blood and flesh in this place, Salina began to have a sicking feeling in her stomach from what she'd eaten. When the plate with credits was in front of her she took each one at a time and put it in her pockets. All the while shaking her head at Shinju. "I know there is no point in me saying....but I do wish the best of hope for you, miss Ayasha. Divines show pity on you." Feeling no other reason to stay, Salina picked up Xira and used her to start walking out of the room, hopefully out of this place.

Shinju gave a small frown at the thought and then smiled leaning back in her seat. She could do several things to this woman. Why let her go when she had such a delicious tongue. Full of talent, it could be put to good use or maybe just string her up on a rack and make her beg to be killed. So many possibilities in the end but that would require a reason for attacking a guest in her new place of business. "Have fun." Shinju let all the malicious intent and idea play through her mind on a loop as she laughed.
