The planet of Ossus had historically been teeming with Jedi facilities, with their ages ranging from new to ancient, and although Soren could probably walk in the front door of any one of the what seemed like hundreds of active temples or schools on nearly as many worlds. But to Soren, there was something different about looking into old ruins, trying to dig up long-hidden secrets, or even something well-known from an older perspective, or just the junk that people who'd looted the location before him hadn't thought was interesting enough to take.
Now Soren found himself standing in front of a former Jedi school that had to be at least a few centuries old if it had decayed naturally. Though it could be only a few years old if the damage had been done by an orbital strike, figuring out the mystery was half the fun.
Heading forward into the ruins didn't help much with determining the age to Soren's untrained eye, synthstone, durrasteel beams, transparisteel, even the electronic components, all of them appeared to be generic enough to Soren that they could have been made any time in the millennia that spaceflight had been common in this part of the galaxy. Perhaps an archaeologist, or even just someone familiar with construction, could tell him a possible timeframe for construction. The only thing that Soren could determine so far was that this had been a Jedi site, after grabbing for the right word, he settled on flavour, of the Force, and that the damage appeared to at least not be too recent, as blast and scorch marks, if they were ever present, had been scoured clean off the ruins or otherwise covered.
