[dev] Starting a bond

The Dragon Palace casino had been a place of many gatherings as of late and Sigourney had been glad to have some moments of peace and quiet. Lysle sat across from her in her luxurious office inside the casino. Their offices had been spared no expenses and boasted a large area at which they could relax. The area contained two large lounges, big enough for a party of 5 on each should they need to entertain guests privately. Between the two lounges sat an elongated coffee table. The place where she chose to serve food and some of the casinos finest alcohol when she had a meeting. The area served to make their guests feel more comfortable or 'at home'. Delegates were more likely to agree when shown the excellent hospitality the Ravens provided. Not to mention, when they had a few glasses of top shop liquor in their systems.

Sigourney searched Lysle's face while they sat in the dimly lit room. His features were lit by the flashing lights of the casino outside. Through his fine manner, Sigourney could see that the recent battles with The Ravens enemies had aged him. Not enough for others to see but she could see the quiet lines of stress beginning to etch themselves in the lines of his face. He sat, as always, dressed in the finest suit available. Hidden under the tailored jacket Sigourney could see he was of a solid build, his background in boxing had ensured that. The Zeltron had always admired his fashion sense. Whether the occasion, he had always taken care to look as handsome as he possible could. A large distraction to Sigourney, though she wouldn't care to admit it to him. For a while now, she had felt the tugging of a strange emotion whenever she glanced towards him, taking more care than usual to examine his striking features. Sigourney hadn't wanted to risk the partnership by staking a chance to find out whether or not he had felt the similar surge of emotions. Tonight she toyed with the idea of voicing this.

She spoke softly, "the peace and quiet is nice. It's a welcome change."

Sharply dressed. Suit firmly pressed and dry-cleaned. Hair slicked back. He was the epitome of well dressed, and everyone knew it. The Vice President of the Red Ravens had ambled over to her office, taking his seat with head Raven. They regularly came here to eat, drink and converse. He thumbed a control pad on the edge of the table, and the faint yellow radiance of a tranquillity screen rose around them. It softened the noise that constantly reverberated throughout the casino, and partially shielded them from prying eyes. He swirled a glass of freshly squeezed juice before sipping at it. Sure, some would say he looked a fool, but he never understood those who drank alcohol to look cool, nor to smoke, nor to take narcotics. To him, that was an easy way of losing credits, and he loved credits.

His steeled eyes traveled over to Sigourney, silently judging and weighing her, calculating what she was thinking, what she wanted from him. She was beautiful, and he had always known that, but simultaneously it left him wondering if it was just the pheromones the Zeltrons were known to excrete. He did not care to guess. Her lips formed words, and his ears perked to listen carefully. “The peace and quiet,” he echoed, looking down into his glass, “Three attacks on our casino in the past fortnight, and a rescue op, it is good to have peace and quiet. Though I dare say there won’t be much of it in the coming months and years.” He hinted towards the war.
