Standing over the numerous mutilated bodies of police officers, Veles knelt next to the remains and studied the nature of the wounds, just as his cybernetic eye scanned the surroundings. At first glance, the scene appeared to be a result of a large explosion. This was supported by the majority of the bodies being ripped into shreds also the fact that the brave freedom fighters who have attacked Coruscant the last time were responsible of completely destroying the Imperial palace and shooting down evacuation shuttles full of civilians. Over 17 000 innocents died by their terrorist hands that day, and Veles only counted the victims from the palace. The total bodycount was no doubt much higher. Such were the results of the Omega Protectorate and their twisted depiction of freedom. Was this just another terrorist attack, another deranged individual brainwashed by the Jedi propaganda doing their part in "liberating" the people of Coruscant.
Again, nothing. His eyes offered the bodies another glance. All of them seemed to have suffered the same wounds. That made little sense. The only explanation he could come up with was that the attacker must have used some sort of weapon that causes this effect or a bomb. Or telekinesis, which was what the investigating forces came up with, which was why he was called in the first place. The mental image in his head showing a Dark Jedi ripping people in pieces with telekinesis was a disturbing one. The faces of the dead men and women indicated extreme pain and agony inflicted upon their poor bodies moments before their deaths. Veles was all too glad he was not there to hear their cries and screams of pain, as that sound wound have haunted him for several months, no doubt. Noting that several pieces of armor were missing, the amphibious Sith Master stood up, completely ignoring the civilians who have surrounded the area and watched the gory scene. Luckily, the investigating police force did not let the civilians get too close.
The Mon Cal's gaze moved from the bodies to the pool of blood that trailed somewhere else. Following it, his firm strides filled with anger, Veles made sure not to step into the blood as he stood in the place where the mass murder took place. This could not have been a bomb, though. Carefully going to the area from which the blast would have originated, Veles was unable to find any rubble, scorched ground, nothing. His gaze shifted to the walls, searching for marks of blaster fire or any other damage, but what his large amber eyes saw was just blood and tissue. Truly, the men and women had to be ripped apart by the Force, the sheer amount of gore and the fact the bodies have been moved let him know that the killer was most likely covered in the insides of the poor officers of the CSF. How gross. The Sith Master could not help but grimace in disgust. For long he realized the Jedi were beasts with no mercy, but to be this sadistic...
Before he could investigate further, the Force told him of move lives being taken nearby. The Dark Side grew stronger in such places, so with the Force guiding him, the Mon Calamari swiftly moved to another scene, already witnessed by several shocked civilians. He would have stopped and secured the scene, offering the civilians kind and reassuring words, but he was not given such luxury as the ripples in the Force reached his mind and informed him of more death. Growling in frustration, the Sith Master sped up and ran towards the area the disturbance in the Force was coming from. As a Sith, he feasted on the pain and suffering, empowering his body and readying it for the confrontation with the fallen Jedi, as well as hiding his presence in the Force to avoid alerting the Jedi of being hunted.
Gently pushing a man in his way aside, the amphibious Sith finally spotted the killers. A man dressed in the CSF uniform covered in blood, falling to the ground, and a little girl. A Master and his Padawan, both surrounded by the Dark Side of the Force as a result of their killing spree. It was not going to continue. He would not allow it.
The blank stare in Veles eyes remained fixed at them as his left palm opened and telekinetically summoned the curved lightsaber hilt hanging on his belt, his other hand telekinetically pushing the civilians and authorities alike away from the two psychopaths to prevent further harm. The young Sith's face no longer showed any expression as his mind shifted, the Sith Master now solely focused on the fighting at hand. Two long strides carried him closer to the man, the lightsaber in his left hand whistling through the air with its typical hum as Veles moved the tip of the blade towards the man's back to sever his spine while his right hand pointed at the girl and released a stream of red energy at her, intending to rob her of her energy with Force drain to stop her onslaught and eventually remove her life with the same power. This madness had to end here.
