Denon Spaceport
Denon had the atmosphere of a complete party planet. At least to the eyes and mind of a seventeen year old. Kiran happened to take an odd job here when he was interning for Makai. Security, delivering equipment, even cleaning buildings. It wasn't anything beneath him, at least he didn't see it that way. A job was a job, and well he needed the credits. Not just for himself but there was a particular young lady in his life, that he found himself thinking about more than he wanted to admit. When he first met her, he was almost, well slightly different person. But looking at her, and the things she was doing. What she wanted to do. Couple that with his interning for her father. He wanted to make something better for himself. Not for her, but for him.

They weren't together, they were just friends, well loose friends you could see. He had broken her trust once, and he was in the process of trying to get that reeastablished.

A few jobs later and he finally had some free time to spare, so he asked Persephone Dashiell Persephone Dashiell if she would mind coming to Denon. The longer he was here, the more that stood out about this place, more to see and even more to discover. So why not do it with Persie, he knew she would have some good insights and comments on everything going on here.

Kiran checked his communicator, looking at the time as he stood at the spaceport. She was due to arrive any moment he was sure with Zee in tow.

DENON SPACEPORT

Persephone hated Denon.

A planet that tried too hard to be the center of importance. If other culturally important planets were 'old money', Denon was definitely the 'new money' cousin who had zero idea how to act. Their Senator had recently been posing for holos in a disaster zone where many had died. Where her adoptive father was working to restore the mines. Where everyday citizens just wondered how they were going to get by.

Gaudy. Poor taste. Loud. Just like everything else on this hellhole.

Yet Kiran Arlos had invited her, so Persephone was going to grit her teeth and bare it. Once close, close enough that Persephone thought they would end up dating, they had a loose connection that remained. After violating her trust she had pushed him far into her outer circle but not completely out. She was now guarded at every turn with the boy, unsure if he would pull another stunt.

Dressed simply in black-and-white, the teenager strode through the spaceport with Zee in tow. She had chartered a yacht, not having her own yet. Something to ask her parents for now that she lived away at University.

Coming up along the side of Kiran, Persie offered a small wave to catch his attention.

"Kiran, hello."

Denon Spaceport
Persephone Dashiell Persephone Dashiell
Kiran caught glimpse of Persephone and showed a small smile, well goofy smile to say. He was happy to see her, she was in many ways his only and closest friend. He might have been able to count Zee in that group too, so that would be two friends, but he would need to get more of the droids thoughts on that matter. He giggled lightly as he waved his hand at the duo.

"Hey Persephone." He said walking a few steps closer to the two fo them. "Hey Zee, have you been staying out of trouble?" The teenager turned back to Persephone. "Thanks for coming, and you look very pretty."

He looked back towards the spaceport enterance, leading into the much larger conquest that was Denon. "Have you been here before? I was taking a few odd jobs here and at first, it seemed like just a party planet to me, or well from what I heard." Kiran spoke, just giving his thought and opinion on the matter.

"I'm sitll trying to...." Kiran began as he reached into his pocket to pull out the phamlet of all the things that could be done, and the pamphlet almost touched the ground before it finally unfolded completey. "Gods, what do people do here?"

DENON

[ Trouble tends to find me Mister Arlos. ]

Persephone rolled her eyes at Zee's words. Who heard of a droid trying to sound cooler than he actually was? Quirks in his programming for sure. Given the droid was a near-copy of L3-37, her parent's units, there was no surprise Zee had personality. Eyes darted around the spaceport as they approached one another. Oddly a good deal of college-aged sentients in the spaceport. Spring break? Given it was a den of debauchery, not surprising.

"Kiran, you look nice. Little taller, I think."

As he pulled out the pamphlet, an eyebrow arched.

"I saw this restaurant on ZikZok...sushi place...which may be questionable given there's no real ocean...but it's in District 12. One of the nice Districts apparently. Dark Water, I think it's called? Its on me, of course. It will give you time to look through your book of activities."

There was an invulontary laugh that escaped Kiran's mouth after he heard Zee's words. This was probably the first time he had ever heard Zee say something like that. Try to sound cool? Regardless it worked and it brought another smile to him. "I like that Zee, keep up with that stuff!"

Persie commented him on his look and he simply smiled. "Thanks. Thank you for coming. It's good to see you." Kiran listened to her input on Zikzok and the sushi place. "That is slightly questionable...." Kiran muttered as he thought more about it. "Maybe its imported?"

"Well lets go check it out? Shall we?"
Kiran said, as he held out his arm for her to take if she wished. It was more him being polite with a mix of silliness. More his own way of testing just how much she was still furious with him.

"I've never had sushi before, so you will have to tell me whats good and what isn't. How's everything with the apartment going?"

[ I was not joking Mister Arlos. ]

Zee was unsure what he had to 'keep up with' but flagged the interaction all the same. The droid would use it as a learning moment and try to apply it to the boy in the future. If he stayed around.

"Imported or maybe grown in some kind of tanks. Indoor fish farm. I...I am unsure what this planet actually does beyond..."
Beyond acting important. "...doesn't matter. We will try it together. If we get sick with parasites than they can be considered souvenirs of our trip."

Persephone was not joking, although for someone like Kiran Arlos who had never eaten the dish it may appear she was. In all realty, she wasn't overly picky. Growing up she had little choice to be. Now she can afford to be more choosy but the restaurant would all boil down to if it was worth the credits. Many places simply were not.

Taking his arm, Persephone was a refined lady after all, she shrugged about the apartment.

"It's done. Looks fine...Can't say much else about it."
Was there to say anything about it? "How has...whatever it is you've been up to?"

"Of course you're not...." Kiran said with a small laugh, as she took his arm. Kiran laughed again as he glanced from Zee to Persie. He leaned in and whisphered to her. "Did you guys upgrade him or something?"

His thoughts drifted to the parasites and his brow furrowed and he showed a face of disgust. "Ummm, perhaps we should skip the parasites, and maybe even the Sushi altogether."

Kiran's mind now filled with scenarious of him boarding the ship hours later and him sprouting tentacles and turning into some evil monster that has to get put down. He shuddered at the thought and looked over to her once more.

"Maybe we should get a burger instead?"

Burgers? They were going to skip a ZikZok famous place for....burgers? Eyebrow arced lightly, realizing Kiran Arlos was quite serious. This was something she found odd. Growing up she had been forced to eat whatever she could find. Being picky now was just a matter of preference and abundance of choice. Kiran had some hard times but Persephone was pretty sure he didn't grow up like she did.

Either way, this entire trip was grin and bear it in an attempt of friendship.

"Burgers, sure. You pick the place and I'll be your fearless follower."

Looking around the spaceport, Persephone was taking note of where they were. Just in case. Years ago the planet wasn't safe. Or so she had heard. It was best she at least paid a little attention.

"So, what is next for you."

Kiran chuckled lightly as his smile grew a tad bigger. "Well, I know you are certainly braver than I am. Althought when it comes to coolness, I think Zee may have you beat." He giggled lightly, throwing a small playful jab towards both of them. Kiran then led the way, leading them out of the spaceport, there were several places that he spotted during his work here. Honestly he was provided meals by his employer, and he never really lingered out in City wilderness so much.

"So, what is next for you."

"Nothing exciting to be quite honest." Kiran thought about it for a moment, before speaking again. "Well, the job will be finished up this week. But I hear there are talks about a work venture into Sith space. There is a contract to build a sequence of structures and complexes there, they need laborers and even security there. Honestly i'm surprised companies here venture out into Sith space, I would assume that would be a big no, no."

Kiran shruged his shoulders, honestly not too bothered by it. He carried no allegiance to the High Republic.

"What about you?"

[ Bravery is my middle name Mister Arlos. ]

Leave it to Zee to get a quip in. Head looked about the spaceport as Kiran Arlos led. Lots of tourist type trap places, mainly for those who only had a few moment on planet she supposed. If she was doing a job with a few hours of turnaround time, venturing too far wouldn't make any sense. Especially those flying on public transport.

"I've been to Sith space. More than once. The company will probably just have extra paperwork on the employees. Just to respect the local laws. I've found it strict."

As for her, there was nothing overly exciting on the horizon. At least not exciting to those outside her circle.

"Just school. Travelling around sites. Just more of the same. There's nothing new to really report."

"Man, he's quick with the clapbacks today." Kiran said with a small smile and laugh, giving Persie a small playful nudge.
"Well, I guess I will have some extra reading to do. The last thing I want to do is break a law and get stuck in sith space for too long. I've never interacted with a sith before, but I would assume that they aren't pleasant." Kiran shrugged his shoulders. "Then again, some Jedi I met aren't pleasant, so that's just a game of chance I suppose."

The neared their destination, as he listened to Persies talk about recent endeavors. She mentioned school, travelling around sites. Kiran nodded his head easily enough as he held the door open for her as the arrived at this burger joint. The place didn't look to bad, but he would have to be careful when picking out his burger.

"Anything new at these sites? Or even new people you have met?"

"Anything new? Technically no. All of these items are hundreds of years old at the least."

A little humor for her own benefit. As for new people, she shrugged. There was always a rotating cast of characters. Some from her university, some from other universities. Others were researchers or government officials. All depended on where she went and who was interested in what part of history.

Quietly thanking Kiran Arlos for opening the door, she walked inside. One of those trendy places - tourist trap maybe? Persie felt that was a bit of Denon, but she couldn't fault anyone for trying to make a credit. It looked like they ordered at the counter then sat down and waited for the items to appear. She spotted a few waitress droids buzzing about.

"Hmm....I think I'll have a double batch of fries." Gaze flicked to Kiran. "You?"

Her joke caught him either at the best or the worst of times. He laughed, a true genuine laugh, nothing unreal or forced. But something simply him, whatever that was. He looked at her, with a small. "Sorry, that was funny." As they moved inside as he took a quick glance around at everything. Trying to find a feel for the place. While it didn't look so bad at all, there was still something to it that was....just different.

Neither good, nor bad. Maybe in between. He at least hoped the food was decent.

"Hmm....I think I'll have a double batch of fries." Gaze flicked to Kiran. "You?"

"That sounds pretty good." Kiran raised his hand to his chin, as he thought for a brief moment. "Maybe a burger, or even fries with that hot spicy stuff on top." Kiran's brow furrowed for a moment. "I think I'll mix it up with that. You can even have half of my burger to try it." He looked over to Zee.

"Unless you want half of my burger?!" Kiran spoke with a tease in his voice, joking of course. Droids couldn't eat, that he knew of.

"Oh just the fries, I'm good on the actual burger."

Plan had already formed in place : once Kiran Arlos left her for the evening, Persephone was going off to the sushi place with Zee. From what she had read and seen it was also part bar and entertainment spot, so being open later in the evening was zero concern. One did not travel to the questionably fake facade of Denon and not go to a famous establishment. At least in her eyes.

[ I am watching my svelte figure, Mister Arlos, but thank you all the same. ]

"Yeah, bikini season is right around the corner and Zee needs to look great in his two-piece. He always looks great but he doesn't listen to me."

[ Very flattering Miss Persephone. ]
