Dominique looked over at Ayumi as they left the cove behind. She could use the exercise of a walking tour. It hadn't been on her calendar, but if Ayumi was serious about all this -- and there was no reason to believe she wasn't -- then making the time would be worth it. Some were content with seeing it on paper. Not her. The Game required too much precision to leave it to someone's interpretation and the bare skeleton of mere images or holopics taken of choice locations. It was the reason Dominique asked so many question to ferret out whether all of it was built on lies and deception, or if Ayumi had a genuine plan and means to implement it.
The street food smelled heavenly even if it wasn't the healthiest. Well, Upcity seemed to be quite the tourist trap; if you were going to indulge, you might as well savor some fatty foods. But the ocean was far more captivating, and seeing it at ground level was certainly a sight.
"Islands," Dominique half snorted and laughed.
"Frankly, I'm surprised you managed to buy the real estate needed for this Ayumi. A grand vision doesn't always convince people to sell you their towers." It wasn't a kiddie pool the woman had constructed. So many things had to gone right -- by luck or deed -- for something so sizeable to have been recreated.
"Impressive."
As they continued, she spoke of fisheries with a few stalls highlighting such catches.
"Have you considered a Sith themed one?" Dominique smirked as she looked over at Ayumi.
"Not too realistic, of course, but people love indulging in the taboo. Something average citizens finds a curiosity, and our guests finds familiar. Enough where they don't feel insulted, anyway." The Republic wasn't at war with the Sith Order, and Denon wasn't about to turn away people with money. No reason they should only cater to Jedi, but Dominique wouldn't complain about them having a themed cafe. The Grand Master might, but she'd wait for that complaint to come in before worrying about it.
"Zahira," Dominique warmly replied with a slight nod.
Golden eyes shifted aside to Ayumi then as the pair exchanged... expectations.
Dominique lifted both of her hands, palms up at her side as she smiled. A light upward arch of her thin brows followed. What could she say? She wasn't the sort to jump into the sheets on the first date. Not if it was a genuine interest and not merely a fling, anyway.
A soft laugh accompanied Ayumi's lamentation of Zhira remaining nearby.
"Truly a resplendent District, Ayumi. It'll draw no small amount of people -- native or otherwise." It must have been pleasant not to have the responsibility of the planet constraining her ambitions. Dominique, on the other hand, used her finances to build the infrastructures cloaked in shadows. Security, intelligence, business relations. The corruption and mismanagement ran deep; some felt it a good thing, easily exploited, and indeed it had been for the longest. All things had their limit, however, and Dark Wire had nearly toppled the entire system because of the weaknesses built into the system. It was time to shore it up.
"You've made some wise investments and engaged trust worthy partners. All outstanding achievements on their own. I certainly wouldn't mind visiting more often," she added with a smile for her companion's benefit.
