  • Description: The Demesne of Shadows is something which should not exist - upon the boundaries of the galaxy, at the very border of traveled space, lies something truly impossible - a place where existence as is known for all intents and purposes no longer exists. A self-defeating yet self-reinforcing paroxysm of nihilism, bound through only a
POINTS OF INTEREST
The Demesne is an infinite void of darkness, filled with kingdoms of shadow ruled by entities unlike anything within the known universe or other similar universes. Whatever one may encounter, it is made manifest of the purest evil and lacks all good and light.

And it will prey upon you.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
War is the most fervent expression of the Father of Shadows, for it serves nought but him and those who serve him.

The myths of the galaxy speak of the ancient dread god Typhojem, known by other names such as Pomojema, as the Father of Shadows, an entity of pure darkness and evil greater than all those that have come thereafter. But the nom de guerre was taken from a vile thing, far more abominable and pernicious than even the so-called primordial evils.

Fragments of ancient civilizations long wrought to ruin in the voids of Otherspace speak of a being known as the Näkhäsh, a Celestial who lived amongst his peers within the heavenly domain of the World Between Worlds on a planet of their own making, a place wherein they could understand the boundaries of creation and the tantalizingly intoxicating nature of material reality. But the Näkhäsh wished for more. Instead of satisfaction merely with endless acquisition of knowledge in the infinitely expanding universe, he was the first of his kind - some say the first of all kinds - to experience the lust for power which all life since has been irrecoverably polluted by as a result. The Näkhäsh spread his perfidy to others who found themselves sharing his cravings for domination - and thus a war began, a war between those whose purity and praise of the innate good of reality remained unstained and those who had allowed themselves to succumb to the darkness, to the shadows.

The fallen ones were, as expected, exiled. Removed from the place where the very fabric of reality was at their potential influence. Cast out, the Näkhäsh sought a new refuge, a place where he and his fellow disbarred Celestials could perpetuate their delusions and still would have the ability to feel the control they had long craved. Thus was born the pocket dimension the Demesne leads to, a place where fallen almost-gods live out their cruelest and most perversely vile wants and desires within a place they can control. The Näkhäsh, the true Father of Shadows, leads these monstrous beings in such satisfaction that their care for that which they do not control is nonexistent.

Never go into the Demesne. You will likely never emerge again.
