OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
DelStar Transport & Logistics (DTL) is an integrated freight transport and starport logistics services company. Comprising a large and varied fleet of transports for all sorts of clients and rates, DTL has become the reliable standby for the Grumani sector and its neighbouring sectors for companies requiring integrated transport and handling services for their growing businesses in the economically booming region. DTL also runs a few minor trade stations in the region that conducts its own import/export shipments to facilitate trade and exchange.
DelStar Quality (DSQ) is the transport sub-line of fast, reliable and large ships that handle sensitive and important shipments, the best and most reliable of DTL pilots and ships. This usually means time-sensitive hypermatter or coaxium shipments to and from refineries but can also include other bulk transport. DSQ is renowned for its modest rates and fast times, though limited capacity has slowed its growth.
DelTravel is a small spin-off company under DTL ownership; however, there is both little demand for leisure travel in the sector nor sufficient ship capacity supply to dedicate to it. As a result, DelTravel is most often used for large-scale economic migrations or political refugees.
RATIONALE
DelStar Transport & Logistics came about as the in-house privately owned transport services of the various companies under Elevar Holdings several decades ago. As the Holdings expanded and the economy of the region improved, the transport services were consolidated and then faced outward to serve other clients. Anthysius gained control of the transport company as part of the Holdings, expanding it with tooled-up versions of sub-par, unwanted, or surplus transport ships, forming a passable but sizable transport fleet: eventually, the models were modernised and improved into the modern fleet of today.
