PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
At first glance, Dell is a rather unassuming man. A slightly above average build, but nothing remarkable. Glasses, usually uncombed hair, and often without a shave. Dell however, has that Corellian glimmer in his eye, and he's quicker than he looks.
INVENTORY
Personal Effects, Republic Piloting Gear, whatever he's usually flying, and-
A distinct Slugthrower pistol in a shoulder holster whenever he can carry it.
PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS
Corellian by blood and Corellian by nature, Dell has in it him to rebel, be reckless, and seek adventure and thrills where he can. Whether it's gambling, flying fast, or taking on a daring mission, he does it. He lives fast and intends to do as much as he can before he kicks the bucket. That being said, his tenacity and dedication to doing what he wants has landed him in quite a few pickles, including a lengthy rap sheet prior to his enlistment.
He also is quite.... himself. He doesn't hold back or change his personality, and his off-putting brand of humor is funny to him, first of all.
STRENGTHS
Excellent Pilot:
Like Corellians and most in his line of work, Dell is a good pilot, excelling especially with in-atmosphere piloting. Namely gunships and speeders, but he can squeeze into any Starfighter and fit in with the best of them.
Gung-Ho:
Dell isn't adverse to taking on challenges, and faces problems head-on, and rarely finds himself lacking in tenacity or bravery.
WEAKNESSES
My glasses, my glasses!:
A knock to the head required Dell to wear glasses or contacts, or, when piloting, a specialized visor.
Abrasive and other Corellian Associated Traits:
Like most Corellians, Dell has "rocket fuel for blood". While this can help quite a bit in some situations, Dell has a problem with authority. Even with the Corellian military institution, Dell finds himself frequently at odds with rigorous standards. Even small rebellions, not shaving, not combing his hair, patches on his gear- small acts of rebellion to satisfy some deep urge to constantly go against the grind. He may even take an adverse position just to satisfy an urge to rebel, go against a plan, or not confer with others.
It's what led him to be a criminal in the first place, after all.
HISTORY
Smuggler. Rogue. Outlaw. Hardcase. Showboat.
Dell did his stint in the Corellian military- a weapons system officer on a bomber. It's where he picked up a knack for daring missions and high-stakes gambles. Four years after he turned 19, he was left with a few choices: continue his service in the military, or find himself out in the galaxy on his own, making it on his own. With regime change and regimes changing, Dell, sensing an incoming darkness, decided to make his own way.
And after just two years on a smuggler's crew, Dell was running his own operation. He smuggled a variety of items, not including... Weapons, escaping civilians, drugs, plans, batteries, fuel, illegal starfighter modifications, spice, glitterstim, coaxium, tibanna gas, thermal detonators with the serial numbers filed off, stolen Imperial ration packs, bootleg holovids, black-market astromech motivators, counterfeit Republic credits that definitely will not fool anyone with functioning eyes, , crates labeled "not weapons" that are obviously full of weapons...
.Unregistered blaster pistols, registered blaster pistols, decommissioned battle droids, suspiciously still commissioned battle droids, a dozen protocol droids with memory wipes, a thousand fake Jedi relics, one real Jedi relic wrapped in old socks..... crates of caf, crates of death sticks, crates of "medical supplies" that are definitely not death sticks, spiced cookies, spice hidden inside cookies, cookies hidden inside spice shipments, stolen Starfighters, stolen Starfighter parts, stolen hyperdrives, rare fishing equipment from Mon Cala, moisture vaporators, stolen moisture vaporators, moisture vaporators stolen from other stolen moisture vaporators, decorative lightsaber hilts, lightsaber hilts with actual lightsabers still inside them, one crate containing only left boots, another crate containing only right boots, a suspiciously large number of B1 battle droid heads, exotic nerf jerky, rancor teeth, fake rancor teeth.
Stolen star charts, forged travel permits, forged permits for forged travel permits, luxury speeders, rusted speeders, speeders rusted on purpose to look authentic, antique holocrons, fake holocrons full of cooking recipes, a stolen casino vault door with no vault attached, the vault that used to go with the vault door.....
However, when the Alliance fell and the Republic stepped in, Dell was finally caught. Well, not so much caught, as he was refueling his ship when a random customs inspection found a lot of things that she shouldn't have. Dell was placed into custody, his property seized, and spent the better part of a year in prison, doing an ungodly amount of pushups and sit ups to pass the time. With the inclusion of Corellia into the High Republic, Dell was let go on a sort of work-release program. The Corellian military folded into the High Republic Navy, specifically to help the Republic Defense Fleet in engaging in rapid reaction tactics and avoiding detection, as is his speciality.
Dell operates in a non-commissioned role at the moment, and is offered a commission if he behaves. And for now, he's doing a pretty good job and has a somewhat positive reputation. For now.
