Delaya

Alderaan was the jewel of the the system, but Delaya that was what made it possible for Alderaan to keep it's beauty so close that standing on Alderaan one could see Delaya. Delaya with its large oceans and temperate forests surrounding the Capital city of Leilani. A name that invoked visions of the exotic. Perhaps that was what Delaya was exotic for it was not unusual to see Bothans, Ryn, Besalisk, or Humans working and living on Delaya.

Factories, warehouses, homes, and a large population and today Faith and Draco were delivering the family from Hoth to Delaya. The Royal Family of Alderaan, namely Faith and Draco prepared to meet the Prime Minister who she had met with a few times before her marriage to broker a trade agreement which required negotiations every few years.

Today she brought him new citizens that they wanted to ensure were reunited with their family, and were taken care of. Faith's promise she had to honor, bring home all Alderaanians who wished to return.

From here Faith and Draco would return to Alderaan, and then prepare for a vacation on Aldera. Well a working vacation as she was to inherit the throne on Aldera too one day, she needed to attend to whatever business the Vizier brought to her.

As usual Faith was running Ana ragged with preparations. Maybe a protocol droid was needed......she frowned...where was C3PO when you needed him.

The approach to Delaya was swift and the ship was granted immediate landing permissions. Faith smoothed the robes she was wearing, traditional Alderaanian robes as she walked from the ship towards the Govenors representative.

Alderaan had a wonderful relationship with Delaya, Alderaan worked to keep the environment clean by developing new technologies and Delaya worked to provide the supplies that Alderaan needed to build. They could not survive without one another. Faith had hoped that at some point someone from the nobility would take the position of Prime Minister. None were interested as of yet and she had not yet made an offer to the Honorary Govenor. That could change at anytime.

Faith was ready to deliver on her promise. "Mr. Arbok, so nice of you to meet our ship"

"I could not pass up the opportunity to speak with you and to meet your husband Princess."

"Mr. Arbok, let me present Draco Vereen, my husband." She could have said Prince Consort but she knew that the Prime Minister did not stand on titles very often. She had a feeling that there was more curiosity about Draco then anything else. She had seen some with their eyes wide look upon the burly mandalorian and wonder.

She would only laugh, if they only knew.

The Govenors' representative bowed, "Prince Draco, welcome to Delaya."

Draco smiled at the man and gave a nod of his head in respect as he slipped his arm around the small of Faith's back to stand with her. "Thank you Mister Arbok. I'm glad I could make it." Draco was at least partially on the planet because of his general interest in it, though a stop before a vacation with Faith didn't bother him either. He wore a simple pair of slacks, button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and a matching vest with a rather pleased with himself look on his face. Delaya was Alderaan's sister world which was often largely ignored during times of struggle and strife despite its industrial prowess. Delaya was no Corellia, Kuat, or Balmorra, but it was a cornerstone of Alderaan's economic well being and the prosperity of its people.

The man seemed harmless enough, despite the smog. "I'm actually quite interested in Delaya, dear. It reminds me of Taris some, where ATI is headquartered." He said as he looked over the cityscape through the smog and haze to see the industrial heartland of the Alderaan system. ArmaTech used to build Corporate Cities, owned, operated, and governed by the mega-corporation where it built permanent locations, often they claimed it was so they could ensure the welfare of their workforce but really everything was about profit margins. Someone early in the organizations history had discovered a handful of loopholes and done a cost risk analysis that had good findings. Alderaan Engineering however wasn't like that. That company was legitimately interested in the betterment of the Alderaan System and those who lived in it beyond how much money they could make from it. "I have some things to help with the smog. They'd need some workers to maintain them, but it would be good to have." More pollutants would mean more tibanna gas could be synthesized from the planet's atmosphere and shipped off world for sale and filter the atmosphere to be cleaner. Turn the purifying process into a money making experience.

"This is Leilani, right?" Draco asked the representative as his attention returned to the man standing before him and his wife.

[member="Faith Organa"]

Mr. Arbok nodded to question and gave a curtly bow to [member="Draco Vereen"] . "Yes Prince Draco this is Leilani the capital of Delaya." He had extended his hand as if a showman displaying his wares as he pointed to the city.

Faith knew him to be a bit odd, but some reason today seemed more so. "Mr. Arbok have we caught you at a bad time?"

He had been caught off guard by her question, innocent and probing. "No Princess Faith you are always welcome here. The Governor [member="Darell Irani"] always makes sure there is room for the Princess if she were to visit"

She had to admit sometimes she wasn't sure about being welcome, "Well Mr. Arbok today we visit because we are returning citizens home." Behind her the family from Hoth had gathered already looking out at the City they were going to call home. Such a difference from here to Hoth, forests, oceans, and...a variety of life.

"My husband and I will be touring the City, Draco has never seen Delaya."

Mr. Arbok did not look worried there was nothing happening that would draw any attention, "by all means Princess and if you require something please do call."

She extended her hand to him, "I will thank you, and thank Mr. Irani for me."

Faith gave a side glance to Draco to see his reactions, so far...she couldn't tell. "Are you ready riduur?" She then turned her head to him and smiled.

Draco knew Irani very well, having worked with the man numerous times both on a personal and corporate level and he had been unaware of his governorship of Delaya, so close to Alderaan. Knowing Irani, he was largely hands off with little to no actual oversight other than collection of whatever benefits package he had due to his position. That was largely how he operated his corporate empire as well. It was basically what Draco did with ATI, perhaps learned or adopted from the more experienced bureaucrat.

"I didn't realize Irani had his claws into this particular planet in the core." Which probably wasn't a good thing for Alderaan. It basically gave him influence of the economy Draco was struggling to stablize and drive to prosperity, which meant his efforts could be impeded by an outside force. "Yes, a tour of the city and surrounding area would be nice, ner runi." A drive through the city and country with his princess was always welcome, even if there were other things they could gain from the trip besides the delivery of one Alderaani family and some sight seeing.

Delaya was pretty in its own way, with a little clean up it could be the new Coronet City, with a shipyard, battleship row, a manufacturing plant of its own type of beauty. Not everything needed to be so neat and proper to be beautiful. Some cities were gorgeous because of the industry and how it interacted with the landscape, so long as it interacted with the planet and did not overpower it. That would be Draco's goal for Delaya. To limit how much damage industry caused the planet while still allowing it to flourish.

"Someone made a deal that my mother wasn't aware of and by time we found out it was too late. And we didn't want to look like a house divided so we honor the deal but I would like to change the deal. I would like to take back Delaya and offer this Honorary Govenor something else, trade something that appeals to him. You say you know him what kind of man is he Draco?"

The transport pulled up and Faith slid inside, Ana and Captain Lindsey would ride up front while she and Draco rode in the back. The windows down so that Draco could see everything. "it is a beautiful place, in its own way."

The family that had come with them were put into another transport courtesy of the family and told to go where they needed to and how much they wished them the best. Adding they would see them again before they left. But both understood the need to reunite with family alone. They did it often enough.

Slowly it pulled away and soon they were moving through traffic heading into the manufacturing district. Factories lined the way this was what kept Alderaan in goods, Faith looked out. "We could really help them if we can get Delaya back."

She looked at Draco.

"I know Irani fairly well. I'm pretty sure he personally isn't involved with the governing of the world if that's his position. He likely has a lackey to do that for him while his attention is elsewhere." Which wasn't unlike how Draco had dealt with the handful of worlds his people governed, but those were backwater worlds with no significance, not the industrial arm of a major Core World.

"I would hope we can make an attractive enough deal without giving him too much power. Perhaps a free trade agreement to allow him to bypass tariffs so long as he doesn't bring in his own work force and hires from the Delaya and Alderaan populations for his factories on the planet." ICE was wide spread and had small manufacturing plants all over the galaxy, where as Alderaan Engineering was restricted to only a few planets of influence. So long as AE kept up its current expansion having the friendly competition of ICE would provide the populace with some options and keep AE from becoming a monopoly and sole employer.

Draco pulled Faith close to him possessively, "Yes it would. Call him to a meeting or something to discuss relieving him of the duties of governor but leaving him with some trade deals."

Faith ran her fingers through Draco's hair as she smiled at his possessiveness it didn't get old. "Fine at some point we will make arranges to meet with him, but not today. Today is about showing you Delaya. See it's potential, and how it is that Alderaan survives as it does."

She kissed him softly, "Factories, a work force, close proximity, these things help everyone who buys from Delaya. There are other worlds in the system that get goods from Delaya but none rely on it as much as Alderaan." She inched close.

"Do you understand Draco?" She knew his mind at times focused only on her so she wanted to be sure he heard what she was saying. "You really think he'd take that kind of deal?"

Mr. Arbok must be the one who governed he was the only one she ever saw, and she noticed how everyone did what he asked without question.

"I'm okay with today being all about me." The man grinned as she ran her fingers through his hair, leaning his head to rest on hers gently and comfortably while they rode through the city. Her kiss felt warm on his face and her body heat radiated against him.

"Yes, I understand. Delaya is the workhorse, Alderaan is the heart and mind. They need each other to prosper." Of course Delaya needed Alderaan because it controlled the system and space around it, provided protection, and had long lists of contacts and a powerful corporate backbone that could use a heavy presence on Delaya for its already existing infrastucture and workforce. Alderaan Engineering could spread its benevolence into Delaya and help control the smog and haze caused by pollution to ensure it never devolved as far as Nal Hutta. "But maybe visual aids would help. Or less distraction." Draco softly returned her kiss, gazing into her deep amber eyes and feeling her sliding up against him.

"I think he would if it were worded like it benefited him and the person doing it stroked his ego a little." Draco softly slid his other hand up her thigh, turning to face her better. If she was going to be distracting, well two could play at that game. He squeezed her gently, rubbing his thumb against the fabric of her dress. "But I'd rather you stroke my ego."

[member="Faith Organa"]

"I think you should talk to this man and make a deal that benefits Alderaan, and gives us back Delaya." She gently glided her hand down his chest, "it will send the message that you are working to better Alderaan, and you say you know him."

She smiled the whole time uncaring of who saw, "Delaya is key to Alderaan" she whispered softly to him, "Alderaan must have the symbiotic relationship with Delaya. And we must help them. The forests and oceans are beautiful but as you can see the air suffers from the pollutants which means the people suffer. We can't have that Drahr."

Stroke his ego she laughed softly, "Do you know what it takes to stroke the ego of this man?" Ego there were other words for it but ego would work right now.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

"I can do that. Irani is first and foremost a businessman. He will look out for his own interests, but if it happens to benefit us in the process he won't mind." Rarely did that mean Irani made sacrifices for others though. Draco knew of only a handful of examples in which Irani even considered shouldering any kind of detriment for others outside his close circle. This however was different. It would just be levying a few precedents and laws, as well as some attractive offers.

"I can help with the air and the clean up. There are some things the companies we've helped build can provide that will help the air. ArmaTech has things, plus Alderaan Engineering can supply devourer organisms to be used in disposal of hazardous waste." Draco was a big fan of recycling, though not entirely because it was environmentally friendly. More because a Molecular Furnace could take trash and turn it into usable materials the planet might otherwise have to import. "We should talk about the future of Alderaan Engineering sometime today." It had been planned that ArmaTech would front the company's start up money and over time would be paid with interest, however with ATI and Alderaan's contacts the company had expanded very quickly and it was already time to start discussing its future, independent of the megacorporate arms manufacturer.

"Well," Draco smiled. "You know what my ego likes, ner ahiraor." He grinned, sliding his hand further up the outside of her thigh until his hand rested on her hip and his forehead rested against hers. "Irani likes to be told how important he and his corporate assets are. How influential he could be if he chose such a path."

[member="Faith Organa"]

It wasn't that she couldn't handle a businessman, she however recognized the needs of her husband to protect and feel useful. This was perfect for him. And yes she knew exactly what his ego needed.

"Ah yes Alderaan Engineering, with all things going as they we should discuss it. Even if it is later today." Faith looked up, "Look there you can see Alderaan" So close they worlds that only the blind would miss how close they were.

"Yes if we can the environment, place a company here, and have a working relationship where Delaya once more enjoys the benefits of being associated with Alderaan these things are all to the benefit of everyone around us. Perhaps after a vacation we can take a trip to all the world closest to us." She smiled, hoping it would win him over just a little.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco pressed against Faith comfortably, pulling her towards him gently as he did, rubbing the silky fabric of her dress softly with his thumbs on her hips and on her sides. He could feel her warmth flooding through him where they touched, reassuring him he was indeed loved. He could feel the gentle, rhythmic beating of her heart and the rise and fall of her chest as she breathed.

One of his hands squeezed her thigh gently while his other slid across her back to her side, fingers dancing along her ribs. He could feel them if he pressed her flesh softly. "Yes, later today when I'm not so distracted with you, if that's possible. People would say that you seduced me otherwise." His forehead touched hers, and his head turned to look at Alderaan in the sky.

His whiskers tickled at her neck while his hands played with her dress gently. Yes, he was affectionate and very distracted with his princess. His mind was elsewhere given their trip to Hoth and his need of a vacation with Faith. A vacation that was long over due in his mind. Draco was interested in Delaya, and he wanted to experience it with Faith for the first time, but he also wanted to focus all of his attentions on her. "Come sit in my lap so you can point things out for me." And so he could have her in his lap, so the request had two purposes.

"I think if we put our minds to it, we can help Delaya and bring it into the fold where we can help it and it can help us. After our vacation of course."

[member="Faith Organa"]

[member="Draco Vereen"]

They were a loving couple when he asked her to come sit, she obliged moving over so that she could point things out easily and still keep close contact, "There are many factories here as you can see. There are also many workers here from across the galaxy Bothan, Besalisk, Ryn as well as human." She touched his cheek lightly with her fingers.

"I understand they have designed a ship that is fast and highly maneuverable but I don't know how it compares to everything available now. But perhaps we can stop over there and see. What do you think? Hmm?" She wanted him involved and to see the diversity of Delaya it would give him information in order to negotiate with Irani.

This was what she had envisioned them working together on projects keeping their bond strong and watching out for the future of their children.

Draco grinned when Faith slid over into his lap, pulling her legs and hips so that she was comfortable and he was happy with her positioning, mostly so he could gently massage the small of her back and she could feel just how much he enjoyed having her with him. His thumbs slipped into the dimples int he small of her back, gently applying pressure against her lumbar muscles while she touched his cheek with her fingers. He blushed, blood rushing through his body at her touch. "The existing industry is good for us, especially given our control over the space around it and its close proximity."

Draco wasn't much of a pilot, arguably a terrible pilot in fact, though he was a moderately skilled tactician when it came to space combat. "Oh, ships are always very good. Many of the bigger corporate powers are known for their premier ships. Having one designed on the planet as its trademark is good for the planet's image." Draco's thumbs inched around Faith's waist as he slowly massaged her back, showing his appreciation for her willingness to oblige herself to his requests.

She loved how he was able to just with a few movements drain all the stress from her body and for his efforts a sigh of contentment could softly be heard. She smiled and snuggled her husband listening to the deep sounds of his voice as he spoke.

"Yes the existing industry is good for us, well for Alderaan." Faith always had to make that distinction in her mind what was good for her was not always good for Alderaan.

"Well I think they are concerned that the ship might not be on the same par as ships from larger ship builders. So, a critical eye on their design they would appreciate." She looked up "The Prince Consort of Alderaan's word would give them acceptance." Faith reached for Draco's arm and pulled it around her waist.

Faith keyed the communications, "Driver if you could take over over to Delaya Engineering." "No time like the present right?" And soon they could just go home and take a long hot bath and get the dust of their trip off.

Their transport began to weave through the lanes to take them to their new destination.

Draco started to work his hands around her hips and then to her abdomen, slowly rubbing the tension and stress out of her stomach muscles with a gentle, loving touch. As he did his hands inched upwards on her body while Draco sat beneath Faith, grinning. He was quite pleased with his situation, his Princess in his lap and his hands rubbing the stress from her body as playfully as he wanted.

"Well something has my approval." Draco let out a soft chuckle as Faith snuggled up to him, feeling her warm flow into him and getting a rise out of him. The mandalorian leaned his head over and began kissing Faith's shoulder and neck affectionately, trying his best to distract her from the tour of the city and get her interested in something else.

"Hmm," he mumbled, not lifting his head from her tanned skin. "Perhaps a private inspection is in order. Look over all their commodities and luxuries." His fingers pressed gently against the bottom of her ribs while his hands worked their way up her midriff. "What do you say? Would you help me?"

[member="Faith Organa"]

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Faith was moments away from giving in to everything he wanted, "A private inspection of the facility, I don't know how they will react to us just showing up. But we can ask...or...are you thinking about a private inspection of something else Drahr?" He knew how to press her buttons, knew the moves, what to say and she damn she was starting to grow breathless.

Soft kisses that felt like fire how what a contrast of feelings, hunger? Yes...and he knew it.

They were in a transport and things were heating up.

"Drahr maybe we should cut this trip short and just go home." She placed little kisses where she could on his face, jaw and neck. While her hands that once rested easily upon his arms began to clench tightly upon his toned muscles. Clearly they had not spent enough time alone, perhaps too much business before pleasure.

The factory was not much

Draco's hands inched further up, feeling the muscles of her abdomen and the bottom of her ribs beneath the fabric of her dress. Her warm lips pressed against his cheek and neck and he responded in kind, nibbling on the lobe of her ear. "Inspection of one of their ships would be enough," Draco whispered, letting the warmth of his breath tickle her neck. "Though my attention would be elsewhere."

The Mandalorian could feel her weight in his lap and her warm body resting against him. He shifted to lean forward a little, shifting his hips beneath her. "Home is too far away. I've been waiting since Hoth. Maybe I can buy one of their ships and we can inspect its, luxuries. Maybe a hotel." His heart began beating faster in his chest, pounding away as his anticipation grew. Her fingers clenched on his forearms, holding him tightly. "But not home, home will take too long for me, Ner Ahiraor."

Even though Alderaan loomed above them in the sky, by the time they got back to the ship, took the ship back to Alderaan and escaped into their home it would be quite a while. And that was assuming the twins didn't see them and refuse to give their parents some alone time. Excitedly, Draco pulled on one of the straps of her dress with his teeth.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

It had been to long already but he knew that she wouldn't give in while they traveled in the back seat of a transport, no..."a hotel then and the inspection at our leisure" Her fingers now laced through his dark hair.

"DRIVER" she shouted her own voice not sounding like her own recognizing how much she desired her husband, "The Hotel Kazeroth." She had been here a few times, she leaned closer, "hang on Drahr...we'll" She stared into those familiar grey eyes the storm that raged there now was not one of destruction but of desire. She knew she should stop him now but she also knew that if she delayed him their time together would not be diminished.

"be alone soon enough." She played with a button on his shirt as she let it slip through the slot that held it firm, and then she did another and another as her hand slipped in to lay upon his chest. She felt his heart thundering as she caught her breath the warm kisses on her ear that helped to warm pools of desire within. "Ner Drahr" she whispered...
