Faction Defense First | The High Republic - The Jedi Order | Training Class

☽ Ensy ☾

Feng's words came so fast he almost couldn't keep up - temple, master, nicknames, all tumbling together in this bright, nervous stream. Ensy blinked at the rush of it, a little startled, but it wasn't uncomfortable. He was also just dealing with his own anxiety about meeting people. Yet, Feng gave off so much warmth and joy it was melting all of his worries away.

Before he even thought about it, his feet carried him a step forward and his arms wrapped around her in a small, soft hug. He did not realize or even mean to but she made him feel so welcome. As soon as he realized he had done it, he pulled back with wide eyes, cheeks warming, but the smile stayed.

"I'm Ensy!" he said, just a little brighter than usual.
Then, remembering her actual questions, he straightened a bit.

"I'm from the Shiraya Temple. And my master is… Master Porte."
His voice got quieter at that part, softer, almost proud.

He glanced toward Aiden, reassured by his presence, then nodded.

"I was listening," Ensy said gently. Nodding his head very enthusiastically.

He turned back to Feng, shifting his weight with a small, hopeful bounce, both of his hands in fists at his chest in excitement. He looked down at his hands with a quick glance and back to Feng.
"I really like your hair! It looks like my skin." He gave a little laugh at his comment. Something for them to bond over a little bit. There was a slight pause as he realized what he was supposed to say.

"Um… do you want to be my training partner?"

There was real excitement there, nervous, warm, a little spazz of energy bubbling but in that regard he and Feng were very similar.

He was still afraid.
But with Feng he felt like they were a lot alike.

Nodding his head, "that makes sense, sure. Will be interesting to see how this power will work against more unconventional weapons. I know my grandfather used to use trick arrows, some held explosives, blocked Force connection and then energy arrows as well." Aileni was thinking about the fact there were going to be people out there in the galaxy who did not fight with traditional weapons, they did not fight with fairly and they did not use methods that were going to be seen as conventional. "Maybe something to explore after this class, huh?" Aileni offered, he was more than open to testing things out, pushing powers to their limits and understanding how to use it in ways that could combat anything and everything that could be thought of.

Aileni watched as Reina seemed to be in deep thought over what to do. Clearly she was contemplating whether to break the rules set by Aiden or comply with the authority. Aileni was a bit disappointed that it was something that needed to be mused so much over. He had thought that Reina would be more similar to him and willing to push the boundaries, defending the idea that stun rounds were completely different threats to live rounds. At least, Aileni saw them as being very different things.

When the shot was fired, Aileni formed the barrier, mimicking Reina as he wrapped his barrier around the stun round to allow it to dissipate safely. His green eyes looked over to Reina, a frown on his lips, "sucks that I didn't get a chance to test against a live round..." Aileni sighed, unable to hold back the disappointment in his face and voice. It was not something that he wanted to express since he didn't want Reina to feel like he was let down or attempting to manipulating her into doing what he wanted.

Aileni just genuinely wanted to push his skills as far as he could.
