The baby could feel the warm soft touch of the pink thing embrace. It was very motherly in how she did. The infant had stopped crying as it's head fell onto the woman's bosom, so warm and calming. Although it could have seen down to the pheromones of the zeltron. The little twi'lek baby's eyes would look up to the woman. She couldn't see her face but could see her chin and the blueish purple hair that draped down. Air was slowly getting thinner causing the little one to cough. It was hard to breath thin stale air. The little girl lifted it's head slightly looking at the other who was here. Between the flashes of light she could see orange hair. It wasn't like she knew what orange was or any words other than the same few simple words her family had repeated since she was born. Mama, papa and the most complex, here comes the starfighter. Once more the child would turn it's head at the new noises. Another person was floating towards them. There was something amusing about it that made her giggle with the cheekest of grins.

Someone's inexpert repairs have stabilized the air processors and restored gravity, apart from the occasional wobble. The air still stinks, but you’re not going to pass out and die anytime soon. The ship is now well clear of the asteroid swarm and flying through deep space. The shield generators are still out of commission.

Anyone on the bridge or near a sensor panel might note that there’s a potentially livable planet nearby. That’s probably good, because it turns out most of the food supplies are spoiled and irradiated. Apart from the corvette that First Order stormtroopers found in the docking bay, the ship holds two squadrons of shiny, elite Rassilon-class starfighters, some of the finest in the galaxy. There are also a couple of small shuttles.

Also, the ship’s bridge is currently being run by a Gamorrean.

A sign of oxygen deprevation was the onset of a headache and and if their chests were hurting, it meant there was little left. "there's got to be a first aide station ion on this level maybe they have oxygen." At least enough to get them to another level or to the medbay.

Ilia had not paid attention to the location of first aide stations, nurses station, or even what deck the med bay was on. She looked around now, "Well we need to move floating here will just got us" Her eyes rested upon one of the corpses yes no one wanted to end up like that.

"Can we at least pick a direction and go?" She held tightly to the sconce, looking from one to the other. At that moment gravity was restored, and the air began to flow. Ilia landed on the floor with an Uffff.

Headed towards the Bridge

While she had been unsuccessful in finding a key card, it didn't matter at this rate. Her helmet ticked down an emergency alert.

Ten minutes oxygen left, ten Minutes battery left.

Then the red lights flickered off and she glance around, rising from her search of the bodies. There was a luminous white glow that kicked on and bathed the hallways. It turned out that there was terminal nearby and she made for it. What as the password though?

With her gloved fingers she tapped through the screens, navigating to the tourist files and checked out the ship. Most Starliners gave folks a courtesy map, so they didn't get lost on the way tpo go drop off the browns in the Podraces. A fact she'd forgotten in the panic of their aftermath. A large orange line showed where the bridge was, from an x that marked the terminal on the map.

"Booya!"

Hala plugged a thin fiber optic wire into the terminal, downloaded the map and spoke into the HUD.

"Map. Transparency fifty percent."

It flashed to life inside her HUD with the line guiding her.

"You guys got this! I'm going to the bridge!"

With her Mag Pistol still at the high ready she took off in a trot.

Battery, five minutes.

Time was running out for her Mag boots.

And just then she reached the bridge, stumbling in and almost going head-first over a terminal as she tripped. One hand whipped out an grabbed the terminal to stabilize herself, just as her boots powered down.

There was Gamorrean at the helm. Figures.

"Where'd you come from? Tatooine?"

She pushed off from her terminal floating towards the command terminal.

"Nevermind, I'm taking over auxiliary power to restore gravity."

With [member="Arutha"] help Bryce had made it to engineering but not before tucking Layla and baby X ([member="Sanya Val Swift"]) safely in a near back escape pod. Bryce had not intention of having them abandon ship but with the hatch closed Layla would be able to slip over to the pods air supply and may even find some food for the little one to snack on.

Bryce could still remember the lullby Layla was softly singing to the child as he watched the hatch close them in... Pushing that memory to the back of his mind he was about to float into main engineering when the grav came back on and he want crashing to the ground. The pain within his legs returned full force as he slammed hard onto the deck.

"Karking idiot, turn it on slow not all at once. Who the feth trained you any how?" Bryce yelled at the man cheering at the environmental controls.

"Well no one really, but I did stay at a holiday Inn yesterday." The man replied in jest.

"Well then help me to my feet engineer." Bryce replied crossly.

As the man walked over and extended his hand Bryce accepted the offer of help and cried out in pain as he placed weight once again on his broken legs.

"You ok," the Inn mechanic asked.

Bryce reached into his pocket and found Alaunus his peronal multi-tool. Flipping the setting to stun he placed it in his back and activated the shock setting.

As the would-be engineer fell to the floor Bryce replied, "Great thank for asking... poodoo brain.."

Seems the pain had brought with it a bit of the dark side influence again, but nothing he could handle. Area now clear of distraction Bryce began to make proper repairs bypassing as many damaged or missing circuits as he could. About fifteen to twenty minutes later he had completed what the commercial repeating feth head had started and resorted full environmental to most of the ship.

It was about at this time he began to look at sensor readings and noted a system was near at sub-light. Nothing charted but what scans he would read showed a chance of a habitat planet in the system was pretty high.

"Bridge, we are closing on what looks like a habitable system, recommending you change course so we can get some better readings."

Entering Elevator - Heading to Command Bridge

The good thing about power being restored was that they could use the elevator now. It, like the rest of the halls along the way, smelled horribly bad, but air was restored and it was perfectly safe. The two lieutenants had gotten off the corvette about ten minutes before, when the gravity was restored. They had ran to the elevator, trying to find out who was saving the ship. Here they were.

The elevator had cracks and blaster bolts all over, and it looked like a worn out armor plate of a battleship. However, it still worked. So they slowly headed upward, the elevator creaking and groaning loudly. Finally, three minutes later, the elevator opened up at command bridge level.

The two stormtroopers ran out to find a human and a Gamorrean.

"Hey! Did either of you fix the gravity and life support?" he asked.

Together they made short work of getting to the engineering block. The gravity came online and Arutha dropped to the floor with a thud, almost losing his grip on the fire extinguisher at its unexpected weight. He re-balanced his grip on the unwieldy object. The crew member and the passenger exchanged words, it was obvious the passenger wasn't pleased, though it took a quick turn for the worse.

The passenger stunned the engineer, the crewman fell to the floor. Arutha didn't think but acted as he burst out in a shout, "What!?" Aruthas arms took the fire extinguisher and hurled it with some might at the mans obviously injured leg. The engineer was a member of crew, just like Arutha, and in such a circumstance, or any really, they were a team. The passenger on the other hand was just a client, Arutha didn't care for him. He didn't have to, just some passenger-gone-mad who had some coin to pay for such a voyage. Arutha moved forward to disable the madman.

#PlayingCatchUp

Meanwhile...

What had begun as two Behemoths hustling towards the Infirmary had turned into something absurd. In fact, if the situation were not life and death, the sight of two Ma'alkerrites being hoisted into the air would have been hilarious. The loss of artificial gravity certainly caught the two simians by surprise and it took them precious moments to gain their bearings. Fortunately enough, the Commander was in touch with his Forceful side, and thereby used bursts of telekinesis to send them moving along. The suggestion of [member="Hala Jast"] was the priority at the moment: procuring medical supplies. Frankly, the man Malok aiding in healing was in bad shape himself, and it was safe to assume that there would be others like him.

So, the two worked their way down the corridor and navigated their way about the belly of the vessel.

However, ill fortune would have it that the Infirmary was out of reach. A divine lack of power meant lifts were out of the question. And, to make matters worse, the air quality was dipping fast. Common sense said that they wouldn't be able to improvise a way to the sick bay. So, Malok and his subordinate did what they could. What was within reach were a number of lockers - most likely belonging to the crew - and the two wasted no time ransacking them. Whilst they set apart prying the thin metal doors off their hinges, someone had managed to cross the right wires, because the two apes found themselves falling straight onto the floor.

Suffice it say, the air was filled with more expletives than stink.

Once back on their feet, the Ma'alkerrites concluded their raiding of the lockers and took stock of what they had gathered. A few uniforms, basic hygienic items, a protein bar, over-the-counter pain relievers, a few papercut-level bandages, and a box of rubbers. Fantastic. It wasn't much but maybe they could find use for the salvage. So, with arms full of a myriad of crap did the Ma'alkerrites return to whence they came. However, it seemed as though those they had encountered had moved onto Engineering per their last words on the matter. They carried on, ultimately following in the footsteps of those before them until they came upon [member="Arutha"] and @Bryce Bantham.

"Couldn't make it to the Infirmary, but we salvaged what we could." Malok began.

His subordinate, ever the optimist, held up the box of rubbers. "Any takers?"

Pain... it filled Bryce's leg and over came his mind. The fire fighting projectile had found its' mark. The sound of it clanging off Bryce's leg was quickly followed by a crack, then a swoosh as the nozzle to the unit broke on impact and the canister shot off violently into a near by hose assembly filled with coolant for undoubtedly another critical part of the ship.

Screaming in pain Bryce rolled away from his attacker and the control panel he was at and hid within the cloud of white gas beginning to form around the breach.

"OUCH, that hurt you twit... I mean who throws a karking charged projectile in sensitive area? Were you thinking of the consequences? The reasons for my actions, or even what the feth I was doing? Noooooo, you just jumped to conclusions. Oh look my fellow twit who can't even fix gravity controls correctly just got shocked, let me hurl this at the man properly fixing the ship..."

Bryce was distracted before and did not feel the attack from [member="Arutha"], of but he felt the cartographer now. This man had his undivided attention. He was using the cloud of coolant to hide his action while he read Arutha surface thoughts. As Bryce hid anyone listening closely would hear the sounds of metal clinging on the floor. Soon the mist Bryce hid in began to swirl and roll. What sounded like fan blades began to grow louder and as they did the cloud of coolant lifted to reveal Bryce standing fists clutched in anger. Ice had formed on his skin, cloths and hair which twinkled in the light of the engineering room. Above his head were what looked like 3 spinning disks that were now pushing the escaping coolant high into the chamber. What had happen while Bryce was talking is he had used his force spanner to undo the screws holding three of the deck plates in place. Once no longer bolted to the floor Bryce had used telekinesis to raise them into the air and began to spin them ever faster till they looked, not like meter long squares, but rather rapidly rotating disks.

"Here friend, you like throw poodoo at people, lets see how well you can catch!"

Bryce's eyes glow menacingly yellow as he smiled at his would be attacker. He was in full melt down mode, most of the time Bryce was a fine, upstanding young dude. But today was not such a day. Arutha was right, Bryce was crazed, only issue was his first attempt to subdue the enraged ginger had backfired. Instead of helping, the extinguisher attack had done the opposite and triggered Bryce... Kill switch engaged...

As Bryce said "catch" the spinning plates one by one were launched at Arutha, or anyone else who might be standing behind him.

Erica continued to search for a way into the hangar. With one of those fighters, she could easily zip around the ship, seeing the real extent of the damage. And, if necessary she was sure she could get a crew on the corvette, and go explore on the potentially habitable world. However, she instead reached the engineering corps. Not exactly where she meant to go. Inside a red head was beating on another being, for some reason. A plate whizzed by, followed by several more. These, Erica stopped with the force.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? We all need to survive on this ship, and we need to not kill each other to have a chance at that! Do you understand?" Her lightsaber was off her belt and in her hand, un activated but ready.

Belek awoke to a terrible stench in the air and everything around him in the wrong place. Like, the desk had been flipped on it's side. The blanket was twisted. Belek was not on a bed. It's things, sparse as they were, had gone all over the place. It was curious. Something seemed off. Putting on it's uniform it looked at it's chrono and discovered it was an hour past when it's shift had started.

Kriff I'm late. Belek thought to himself and headed out of his room to find the place in quite a wreck. More exploration lead to more questions. Where was the senior staff? Where were most of the passengers? Where were most of the workers? The realization was beginning to come to him that they might have been dead. Dead or taken perhaps. This was a nice cruiser, bound to be some important persons aboard. Feth, what did the employee handbook say about this?

I'm a delivery boy. I take people their room service. How am I supposed to deal with this? The Xi'Dec cursed, realizing how unqualifed it was for the situation at hand. Belek decided the best thing to do was to head to main barracks, and open up every door it could find and try to get everyone else awake. From there? Getting everybody to safety. Maybe evacuation. But finding as many lives as possible, that was a start.

The child's eyes would grow heavy against the pink woman's warm chest. Her little hand would reach up taking a tiny hand full of hair and brought it to her mouth. The baby had no teath yet and still learning mostly by touching things and putting them in her mouth. Hair was the first for the baby. The woman kept moving around keeping hold of the child. It was clear she was looking for something. All the movement was soothing like been rocked in a cradle. It was soothing enough to have sent the child asleep for a nap. It was some time befor the little baby girl woke up even though they where in a cramped pod it didn't block off the noise of people fighting. It didn't help the child was now hungry. That was enough for her to start crying out loud matching the noise of the others somewhere else.

The fire extinguisher connected with a terrible crack. The extinguisher launched itself away and hit something beyond the madman and a cloud of white began to lurch forward. Arutha hesitated for a moment, but enough that Bryce was able to make his escape and hide in the mist. Arutha could follow the man, no matter what was in the air it would do little harm to him being in an EVA suit. Albeit chasing the madman could prove fatal, he wouldn't be able to see in there and all it took was an arm around the throat and Arutha was dead.

The madman began to blabber on and while Arutha strained to make sense of it, it just simply didn't make sense. "So what!" Arutha shouted, "Just because he made a mistake does not give you a right to knock him out. You can't be judge and jury." Though in this instance Arutha was both, hypocritical indeed, but the madman had made the first move, not Arutha.

The mist swirled and began to funnel away from them, showing the crippled man. It dawned on him, this man was one of those.. what were the words, Arutha forgot what they were called. Jed-something, Sith-who? He didn't know, all he knew was this man was one of those magic monks, and from all accounts on Coruscant and just about any other major planet in his time, they mean't bad news. He wanted to curse the heavens, maybe beg for forgiveness so that the crazy man wouldn't turn him to ash.

Just as the madman launched the discs at Arutha, thinking this was it. He was going to die. The discs stopped in place. A voice exploded in the room, feminine but raw with power. Commanding by the tone. Arutha blabbered out, "He's gone mad! He stunned one of the crewmen." Arutha realized quickly what had just happened, another magic monk had stopped the discs. There was two of them? His friends would never believe him.

Outwardly Bryce was seething, fisted now clinched and at his side. Eyes wide and wild as the over abundance of pain and furry kept him lost to the madness. Inwardly his thoughts told a different story. At his core he was happy [member="Erica Narrotti"] had stepped in when she did. He did not want to hurt anyone, it was the reason he only stunned the down crewman who in Bryce's crazed mind was acting foolishly. Still till he fury broke he would be lost to it and so continued on his reckless path.

"Mad bub, you wanna see mad. You wanna go after a guys injured legs all over a pathetic excuse for a tech, here take him!"

Bryce reached out his hand to the passed out crewman. His body began to shake for a second before it slid like a puck toward [member="Arutha"] feet stopping only a meter from him. Though his was an act of rage if one was looking closely they would have notice the act, though violent was not reckless. Bryce could have just as easily lofted the man in the air and sent his limp body crashing to the metal deck and causing him further harm but instead just pushing him along the ground instead.

"As for you blondie I'm doing this for our survival, guys like these are a waist of space and resources. If you don't have enough brain cells to do your job, then what good are you to the rest of us!"

Bryce smiled again darkly as he turned his attention back to Arutha, his grip on reality was beginning to slip as his rage created alter ego became further entrenched. Reaching out his hand he commended the force to try and grab the cartographer by the throat.

"You need to be taught a lesson, think before you act and know the consequences of poor decisions."

As Bryce clinched his fist he would try to bring Aruthia closer, pulling him if possible. His ego was now thirsting to show dominance and to exact revenge by sharing the pain he felt. Suddenly Bryce's eyes stopped glowing for a second, his smile turning to a look of fear...

"No, no I can't do this..." he said as if arguing with himself.

The look of fear suddenly turned back to smiling anger as his ego re-asserted itself.

"YES WE CAN!" it screamed as it commanded Bryce to grip Aruthia even tighter. "He will share in our pain!"

---------------------------------------------

She was at the helm now, moving switches and levers. One hand pressed a button and she flipped two switches, restoring auxiliary power to the Gravity generators, but cutting down on other systems. One such system as the engines. She bit her lip, hoping that the Starliners damaged hull wouldn't shred to pieces under the strain of gravitational forces.

They were coming into a gravity well...

"Uh guys?" She asked, patched into the ships PA system.

She could see the hallway cameras where there was fight ongoing. A fight which was doing nothing for their situation, especially since the dash was flashing. A coolant line had blown, spewing toxic coolant mist all over the backside of the vessel. Engineering would be a deadly spot now, and the reactor of the ship was fast red lining.

"Doesn't look like we are gonna make that planet, or any planet for that matter. I'm detecting a toxic coolant leak near your location. We have a downed line, I gotta shut down the engines till we get it fixed."

At the risk of sounding self righteous or a jerk she added,

"Can you stop fighting? We need that line fixed, pronto!"

The engines powered down with her fist meeting the dash.

Reminded her of many trips with the Scout Fighter.

"Why are my ships always karking broken."
