Deals in Gas Giants ATTN: First Order

Location: Bespin
Aboard the Cathar Trade Union Fleet

Space ripped asunder as they exited. A large imposing lion at the helm, draped in fine shimmer silk robes of red and gold. Around the massive Cathar his aides were gathered. A protective detail of two Praetorian Warriors from his house, and a few of his families legal advisers. Cathar typically were know for being violent, territorial, aggressive.

But they were not today. Unless provoked.

With them a Merchant fleet, arrayed in Column formation. Multiple Heavy Freighters, with their larger Warship CTU Long-Claw and CTU Deliverance off to the starboard side, in escort action. Paltry compared to might of the First Order Navy.

Still the presence of warships in this system may raise alarms.

The Cathar cleared his throat and spoke.

"Helm, slow us to quarter burn please. Weapons and shields power down. Comms, prepare our Diplomatic broadcast."

"As you wish Commander."

He was still getting used to that part. It used to be your excellency, but now as the leader of the fleet?

Different titles for different roles it seems.

"Diplomatic channel confirmed."

"Send our query then."

A letter was broadcast the Port Authorities and Gov Offices there.

To the Offices of the First Order
From, the Offices of the Cathar Trade Union

To whom it may concern,

The Cathar Trade Union and its head agents wish a Diplomatic meeting at your earliest convenience. The subject to be discussed of trade and financial matters.

Sincerely,
Ferris-Longtail

The gargantuan destroyer dwarfed the Jast vessels, with its Resurgent-Class escort vessels. The group of destroyers, and flotilla of escorts glowed orange beneath the silhouette of Bespin. Aboard the command deck, the Imperator of the First Order's Sixth Fleet, warden of the First Order's southern territories, glared derisively at the transmission he had received. A look of contempt glossed over the Grand Admiral's projected face. "Shall I prepare firing solutions sir?" The Pellaeon's captain, Evaline Brosse inquired. The bridge watched in a sense of anticipation around the vessel for some kind of response.

Rausgeber decided he would acquiesce to the request at hand. Slowly, Rausgeber made up his mind. "Open up a communications line
." The Grand Admiral ordered, "Prepare for immediate broadcast." The communications team approached the Grand Admiral, a smattering of technicians and officers, who now hooked him up to a console. Within a matter of minutes, he was patched in. Rausgeber's 'human' form was now projected unto the bridge of the lead Cathar vessel. Attired in white officers tunic, cape, and his stark dirty blonde hair streaked with mature greys.

"Cathar vessels," Rausgeber began, his voice strong, stark and most of all forboding. "I am Grand Admiral, Carlyle Rausgeber. Commander of all vessels in these territories." The man informed the aliens. "You have entered our borders, uninvited, and anticipate that for, whatever reason, that you are entitled an audience." The Grand Admiral began, "The First Order contains the wealth of a thousand systems which supply our people and armies with the resources they require. Ergo my question becomes," Rausgeber sneered, "Why should I at all listen to what you have to peddle?"

"They've returned comms Commander."

"Hmm?" He read the reply. Somewhat typical of what one could expect from an Imperial Power. Nonetheless it was worth a shot to convince the Admiral.

He opened his own line, cat like face coming through in the Rausegebers office.

"Well met Admiral," He bowed.

"I am Ferris Long-Tail, Executor of the Cathar Trade Union, Nobility of Cathar. We deeply apologize for the unannounced visit, we are merely on a routine route to Dosuun where an Office of ours is expected to open soon. As of yet, we have no things to truly peddle. We were actually looking at pouring some of the Cathar peoples gold into your own treasuries. The Cathar Trade Union is interested in Tibanna Gas procurement. If you find this amenable, let us continue our discourse ggood Admiral. If you find this not amenable, then with your leave, we shall prepare to depart the system."
