DESCRIPTION

The 132 mm Deadshot Artillery Emplacement is meant to fill to roll of a mid to long range artillery piece for use by Blackwing forces, though it's very commonly pressed into service as an anti-tank/walker platform, and even more recently as an anti aircraft weapon, so to supplement these improvised roles specialist ammunition has started to be produced so that it can act in these roles more effectively. The flexibility in munitions and uses was actually the main reason a solid chemically propelled round was chosen rather than a more contemporary plasma biased artillery, and the relatively low cost when compared to missiles with specialised warheads. Each gun has a crew of five, a commander, gunner, and three loaders, though this is usually supplemented by a team of engineers assigned to each five gun battery to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum while a barrage is underway.

Strengths:
  • Accurate
  • Long Range
  • Reliable

Weaknesses:
  • Damage is concentrated in a small area
  • Set up and break down is slow, requiring they guns to be set up before battle or risk being overrun before they are ready to fire
  • if the electronics are disabled the manual backups are much slower and less accurate
