- Good Weight: The DE-50 manages to save weight while still being an effective weapon, allowing it's user to use it over an extended period of time without fatiguing.
- Limited Ammunition: Due to the DE-50 channeling twice the power into one shot, the round count is effectively cut in half compared to other blasters.
- Sticks Out: The DE-50 is not a concealable weapon due to it's large size.
Once a sidearm of mercenaries across the galaxy, as time went on and technology evolved the venerated DE-10 fell by the wayside to be eclipsed by other weapons like it. But despite this, many individuals expressed a preference for the distinctive heavy blaster pistol, continuing to use examples for hundred of years into the future. This continued post-production success led BlasTech, the parent company to Antrench Arms who originally created the pistol, to send it's team of designers back to the board and update the classic hand cannon, turning out the DE-50 pistol in response. Upgraded with improved metallurgy technology and the latest in modularity, the DE-50 is now BlasTech Industries latest offering to those seeking a hard hitting package at a reasonable price.
