Name: Daymont "Monty" Kassitor

Age: 53 GSY
Species: Human
Gender: Male
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 207 lbs

Birthplace: Chandrila
Faction: Vagrant Fleet
Force-Sensitive: No

Physical Description: Monty Kassitor has worked a desk job for thirty years, and it shows. He has a kindly, age-lined face and salt-and-pepper hair, evidence that he has entered his fifties. He's not in bad physical shape, but he carries some extra weight on his otherwise average frame.

Strengths: Monty is an organizer. He has several decades' worth of experience figuring out logistics and managing people, and he's gotten quite good at it. He's picked up other skills along the way as well - he's a decent enough pilot, mechanic, navigator, cook, and bargainer. He's also an empathetic person. He genuinely listens to people, and gives off a friendly vibe that most folks respond well to.

Weaknesses: Monty is ordinary. He has never been in a fight, much less trained for one. He's a middle manager who's getting up in years - slower than he used to be, and he was never a physical dynamo. He has no specialized skills, no experience with combat or long-term danger, and no appetite for changing any of that. Thrust into a perilous situation, he's in way over his head, and he knows it.

Biography: Born to a middle-class family on Chandrila, Monty Kassitor had a childhood better than most. He had a loving family and got a good education, one that exposed him to less fortunate corners of the galaxy. That inspired him to join the Outer Rim Development Corps for a three-year term of service in the disadvantaged Galactic Southwest, working with the Rimward Trade League.

The plan had been to go back to school in the Core Worlds when his term was up, but Monty fell in love with the work... and with the people who did it. He met his future wife, Raina, while doing economic development work on Dorvalla. The two of them moved in together in Yumfla, Susevfi the following year, and Monty got a job as a coordinator at the central offices of the Development Corps.

Passionate about the work and talented at organizing, Monty rose over time to become the Corps volunteer coordinator for the entire Videnda Sector. After four years of dating and three of living together, he married Raina in a modest but heartfelt ceremony on Dorvalla, in the small mining town where they'd met. Over the next five years they had two kids, Jaden and Sanna.

The Kassitors were an ordinary family, going through ordinary things. Monty stuck with his job at the Development Corps, and waxed poetic about the Outer Rim's bright future to anyone who would listen. Raina ended up teaching fourth grade. Jaden and Sanna grew up faster than Monty would have ever believed possible, heading off to college and then careers of their own.

Monty and Raina were empty nesters. They found ways to fill the time. They volunteered, traveled, took evening dance classes together. Life had changed, but life was still good. The kids still visited. Sanna finished her Master's Degree at the prestigious Baobab Merchant Marine Academy. Jaden got married, and Monty and Raina began to get excited at the prospect of grandkids.

Then the Sith attacked, the Rimward Trade League fell, and everything went to hell.
