Day of the Dead

Leaving Dromund Kaas
Even hobbled and struggling to breath, Matsu did not take kindly to being lifted from the ground like some helpless baby bird and carried to safety. In a fit of rage she released a mental blast of screeching sound, one that even if he managed to somehow shut it out would have to at least distract him for hopefully long enough for her to slip from his admittedly non-confining hold. On the ground, agony shooting under ruined calves, arms dead at her sides until she could have someone look at her spine and the neural networking of her cybernetics, she drove after him through that which she would bring to every individual in the galaxy.

The journey between their position and his ship was arduous, or at least that was how she remembered it through the haze as she threw herself down in the first seat she could find in the craft. Her head pounded to the rhythm of its engines starting, blood from the wound in her face dripping on to the floor as she leaned over. The majority was, by nature of the weapon that had caused it, cauterized. But the edges still wept, thick red rivulets that hung off her face in stringy lengths.

“Why?” she asked him, reveling in what felt like dying. “Why help me?”

She’d seen his face. It had been the last thing her Favored One had seen. Only an hour prior to now he’d been against her as surely as rain fell down and not up. And now he was leaving Dromund Kaas behind with her. If he planned on taking her somewhere isolated and attempting to kill her, he had made a grave mistake. But she hadn’t sense such treachery...and her illusion had liked him.

It was unexpected; the woman covered in wounds, missing limbs, beaten body and covered in her own blood. Such a being should be tired from the blood loss alone but she was able to send a powerful mental screech. Blood spew from his ears as he was rattled from the blast. The warrior fumbled over dropping her body back on the muddy ground; She had that much strength left even after such a battle? He would never again drop his guard to her even if he is assisting her in any. The warrior let out a annoyed grunt, his vision daze and spotty from her attack. Normally the warrior would have layers upon layers of mental protection against mentalist as her, but after taking on an army of undead and a mighty grey beast and taking a explosive blast caused by her crew. Jericho was left fairly exhausted; still this was a learning experience for him, more for him to learn and gain. His frustration turned into something an odd feeling, causing him to let out a chuckle. After taking another moment for himself to recover, he used his elements to regain his temporary limbs and went over to the woman's body and shook his head before taking the lead and continuing their journey.

As she placed herself on one of his seats and bled all over it, the warrior put him ship on auto pilot and went into his room. The chamber and spare limbs meant to connect solely to him in case he would lose any in battle. The warrior was prepared for anything, a chamber circled around his body and filled with water and put him through a quick but extremely painful process. Having to taking of any old parts out and putting in the new ones. The warrior took a moment to engage his new limbs for a moment stretching and shadow boxing before placing on another mask over his scarred face and walking out to answer her question. The warrior feeling now completely refreshed let out a calm breath and looked the beaten woman up and down. He knew at this point he could take her out after the devastation, she was weak right now and would give him quite the battle since he was indeed a powerful being. For one to cause such....Malice....To an army of jedi and other powerful warriors, she was worth much more alive to him than dead.

"Your mind." The warrior stated calmly with his low, stern voice. He knew not whether or not she would honor an accord made, nor was he naive to believe she would help just because just because he had saved her. But for now that is the only thing he could bank on, was she a woman that valued her life? Most likely from her reaction she made from his mere touch. "There is more knowledge to be gained for me from you.."

When he disappeared to repair himself, she cauterized the wounds courtesy of Siobhan. It would at least let her survive until they reached their destination. She had no home anymore. Coruscant used to call her name, and in her dreams it still did. But now she had a mission bigger than the concept of home.

Her sides were heaving when he returned, allowing her pain to fuel her.

The crusted edges of the wound on her face cracked sickeningly as she raised an eyebrow at his answer. A groan of pain mixed with her surprised laughter, both a muffled approximation as they had no mouth to escape from.

"A practical Jedi," she hissed. "That was why I came to Kaas - to show you all something I'd learned, knowledge gained."

Of course, she did not think he saved her because he was interested in the demons right outside the galaxy's door. There was most likely something far more personal or self-serving than she was imagining, as this creature was full of surprises. But if it was knowledge he wanted, there were few so intimately familiar with the secrets of mentalism and sorcery as she. The physical arts were rather lost on her, saber combat and feats of agility foregone for the prowess of cracking a mind like an egg. Hers was an unnatural way.

"Get us to Dantooine, and we can talk for as long as you like."

It was the closest planet on which she maintained something of a safehouse, and without access to somewhere to heal she would be in no shape to tell him anything.

The warrior let out a sigh when she gave him such a response. It made it seem more foolish to unleash of undead cretins to show her 'knowledge', it would have a polar opposite opinion on the others. It would seem that she was merely attacking the order solely to destroy needlessly as any other sith would. But then again, Jericho was here now with the woman seeking said knowledge. So was he the fool to take the bait by such a woman or would he truly benefit from saving such a wrecked being? Hopefully the latter, Jericho did not enjoy wasting his time nor be seen as a fool. "There are other ways but you made your point. How you achieve such a feat, is beyond me. Hopefully you have much to tell me when you are more....Healthy." The warrior responded calmly. The warrior went and set the ship to auto-pilot setting the coordinates to the planet, Dantooine. As [member="Matsu Xiangu"] would notice, the warrior was a stoic man having little reaction to her choice of hideout. He was more a man of action and getting to the point of things. The warrior sat calmly and began to hover from meditation, revitalizing himself. Though as he did, his guard remained up, he witnessed her abilities when she was weakened and fragile able to catch him off guard once. Never again.

The trip to dantooine was going to be a silent one, at least from Jericho's end.
