Day of Remembrance

Her tea was about ready and so she took a sip of it. She's made it so often that she knew when to drink it without even thinking about it.

"Thank you for the offer. I will of course consider it and offer the same to you. I also have a lawyer on hand to help with my case should we go to trial. If that were to happen then not only would I be facing the Republic, but the Cartel as well. And that could be my downfall...."

 

[Shaddi]

Erebos nodded in appreciation, he didn't much trust lawyers given what his father usually said about them but he could understand [member="Lady Kay"] at least wanting some manner of back up plans. "Well then in that case to neither of our downfalls." He said with a smile and offered a toasting gesture to Kay.

 

[Kay-Larr]

Kay smirked a little to [member="Darth Erebos"] and his toast. But then she laughed a little and raised her cup. "To neither of our downfalls..." and then she added, "...May our pathways always be pure and true.." She didn't quite know where that saying came from. Perhaps from her forgotten childhood, she wasn't sure. But she sipped her tea to seal the toast.

"Could I ask another favour of you, if you can spare the time?"

Erebos smiled. "I won't be able to answer that until I know what the favor is." He said with a sly grin forming from his smile, he'd seen many fall into a trap when they answered a yes straight away to such a question. When he thought about it he remembered his father saying that was how his friend was tricked into marriage, that made him chuckle a little on the inside.

[Kay-Larr]

She chuckled a little. "That's very true. What I wanted to ask was whether or not you knew how to Force Push and whether or not you could teach me?" Probably a simple request. She had an idea of how it was done, but she had never really practiced it. Her skills were growing as she had learned from various teachers and this skill in particular could help her maintain a good distance from her enemies.

Erebos seemed a little taken by surprise at the request. "I must admit I was anticipating something more elaborate but I can if you want me to teach you." He said as he let go of the cup and made it float down onto the table without moving. "I've been training myself to use that area of the force without moving now for a while and I know how to do a force push and pull." He said as he stood up and reached out with his hand to help her up if she wanted to accept it. "Do you wish to learn it now or later when we have time for one another?" He then asked out of curiosity.

She glanced at her own tea cup. Maybe one day she'll learn to levitate objects and do so with ease, but not now. Pushing one's enemies away or knocking them off of there feet seemed like a great start.

Kay set her cup down and then took his hand as she rose to her feet. "Now is a good time. I know that I must seem like such a Padawan to you, but most of my Force training was in regards to healing. Shaw didn't like me to be in combat situations."

Erebos simply smirked towards [member="Lady Kay"] and with a slight gesture he pulled out a rock from a nearby pile and maneuvered it in the air for a little while and then made it stop a few meters away from them. "Then I shall explain how I at least use force push and pull though I must say that basic training in telekinetic abilities is a good foundation to build these two on. Now first reach out with your senses and feel the rock as I swivel it around for a bit, try and predict were it will go. Then once you have a handle on the pattern try to imagine yourself pushing the rock with your own hand as you reach out with it and let out a wave of force energy towards your intended target." He then said explaining as he flicked a finger towards his helmet and it was knocked over and spun to have the face plate face down to the ground.

Kay watched and listened to [member="Darth Erebos"]. She closed her eyes and let the Force flow. Or rather she let herself be more aware of it. Eventually she could feel the rock and the way it moved. As the pattern just repeated itself, she found that she could predict it easily enough. Once she was confident enough, she held out her hand and used the Force to latch onto the rock and pull it into the palm of her hand.

Erebos felt her tug on the rock with the force and instead of letting it go and let it move into her palm he increased it's speed enough to make it seem dangerous to catch though it would in reality simply make the hand that caught it very sore for a while. "You mustn't get complacent [member="Lady Kay"] that is how one stagnates both as an individual and ones skills." He mused a little as he didn't move and six more small stones raised into the air and began to orbit around his chest area.

 

[Kay-Larr]

At first, as the rock hit her hand, she thought that the speed and power of it was all done by herself. But then [member="Darth Erebos"] spoke and she knew that he had done it. Kay let the rock drop and rubbed her hand gently. There was time to heal it later.

Her eyes then moved to the six stones now floating near his chest. There wouldn't be enough time to deal with them individually. Maybe she could deal with them all at once. So she concentrated on the Force in the air, right in the middle of the six stones. She focused on the Force getting thicker in between them and expanded it almost like a bubble bursting. If it worked, it would send the stones outwards, like a fan.

 

[Shaddi]

Erebos grunted a little as the bubble burst sending the stones just out of his immediate grasp. His seemed to grit his teeth a little as he then brought his hand forwards and gripped his hand gesturing towards her. A few more rocks shot towards her and began to build an x like orbit around her. "Very good now lets try these on for size shall we?" He said with a wry grin as he began to make them one by one shot towards [member="Lady Kay"] and take it's place in the orbiting x ring opposite it's position.

 

[Kay-Larr]

Wow, it worked! And she was quite glad that none were aimed at him. But then more rocks arrived and started to surround her. Her first instinct was to think of a protective barrier flowing around her, almost like an aura but thicker, with most of it concentrating around her arms. As the rocks would get near, she would swat at them, hoping that the barrier would prevent them from hitting her skin.

The rock swerved through the barrier missing her skin by mere centimeters as it took it's place in the orbit around her. "Try using your force push on one at a time while also keeping an eye on the others. This way you might be more alert to your enviroment and not use the force when you might be seen doing it." Erebos said as he began to pace a bit around [member="Lady Kay"], his hands moving similarly to a conductor as he manipulated the rocks.

 

[Kay-Larr]

She nodded. Though the rocks were on either side of her. Kay tried keeping an eye on all of them, looking for a sign that one of them would move. And when one of them did, she would try to knock it straight up so that it wouldn't hit either of them. Kay would keep trying, over and over until she would get it right.

Erebos kept moving one and one rock every now and again, changing up the pace and locations every once in a while. 'Interesting... she's very adaptable.' He thought as he began to try two and two at a time, replacing the lost stones with fresh ones as well. "Remember to concentrate." He then said into the silence that had begun to build.

The first time two stones came at her at once, it had caught her off guard. She had managed to deflect one of them, but the other hit her left calf. That'll leave a nice bruise. She let out a quick forced breath and then refocused. If [member="Darth Erebos"] was sending two rocks at a time now, then she would have to double her efforts. So she would let her hands and arms move separately as she would try to push the different attacking stones upwards and away from the two of them.

Erebos had to admit to being impressed with how quickly [member="Lady Kay"] was learning through his teaching method. Soon though he didn't have enough stones to continue the x orbit and instead the stones formed a single line orbit around kay as he began to try gathering all of the stones into one large ball in front of her which he then used a force push himself on to shot it towards her.

 

[Kay-Larr]

Kay watched the stones as they moved into a straight line. She looked for any hint of one or more that might move to strike her. But then [member="Darth Erebos"] did something that she didn't think of. He rounded the stones all up into one ball and brought it towards her.

She quickly drew her hands towards it and focused on pushing it back. She imagined the Force flowing from her hands and surrounding the ball, even surrounding Erebos' own Force energy that he was using on the stones. Now the stones were in for a tug of war, though in reverse, but instead of trying to push it straight up as she did with all the others, Kay focused on bringing it straight down.

As soon as Erebos realized what [member="Lady Kay"] had planned to protect herself he decided to try something. To test how strong in the force they were compared to one another as he pushed more of his force energy into the ball of rocks so that should she loose they'd simply fly over her head and should she win they'd slam down onto the ground like she intended. It would now be up to her, how strong she was in the force and how capable she was in it's use.
