Davon Karr
Old Man Karr

FACTION: Mandalorian
RANK: None
CLAN: Betna
SPECIES: Morellian/Human
AGE: 99 [Morellian Blood and medical care put him around late fifties/early sixties for a modern day human]
SEX: Male
HEIGHT: 182cm [was 190cm in his prime]
WEIGHT: 110kg [the same in his prime, but less was…round the middle]
EYES: Blue
HAIR: White
SKIN: Tanned
FORCE SENSITIVE: Very lightly [manifests as heightened reflexes]
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Uncanny Dodge: Heightened reflexes and decades of battle give him a knack for not being where you just swung that sword.
Battle hardened: His military career spanned fifty years. From commando tactics at the fire team level!
Onery: Davon is not always the most considerate for other's feelings and is known to be fairly cantankerous and grumpy when the mood takes him. At other times however he can be quite softly spoken and patient.
Slow Learner: He's not the quickest to grasp new concepts. He grew up at the very end of the dark times when the galaxy seemed much smaller and before a great deal of technology was restored. There was no holonet, hyperspace travel was limited. He can take a long time to adapt to new stratagems, but at the same time has a wealth of experience to draw on.
Let me catch my breath: can't keep up the pace like he used to. He's as strong as a rancor but can't keep it up like he used to. Jogging long distances with full armour isn't as easy at it used to be.
APPEARANCE:
Davon has stark white hair and mutton chops that frame his square face. His face is scarred, weathered and suits a scowl. Yet when he smiles those lines around his eyes draw attention from the scars and he looks far more the kindly patriarch of a huge family.
He is still exceedingly broad, with a wide neck and round shoulders. His body is covered in gnarled knots of muscles, but more fat then it used to carry. He's not as tall as he once was having lost around four inches in height, which only makes him look more square.
BIOGRAPHY:

He was born in the large city of New Serat, known for its strong mandalorian culture and Morellian heritage. As hyperlanes started to reopen and the Galaxy found itself connected once more, it brought the inevitable: war. Davon took up arms at a young age, long before the Mandalorian clans united under a common banner.
He was well decorated throughout his career, fighting numerous campaigns for various banners across the mid rim and even into the core. Davon also fought in the best interests of his home world and frequently returned there. His dark forest green and scarlet armour was known by many and he garnered a reputation for fighting campaigns with a ferocious battlefield tempo that generally kept the other side reeling. He lived by a mantra that making a decision quickly was often better than taking too long to make a more accurate one.
He met his husband, Stahl, on a long campaign on Bastion to put down one of many Imperial resurgences that occurred during this time. Whilst the pair hadn't met before they'd grown up in the same city and found some comfort together in the familiar. Stahl’s easygoing demeanour seemed to mesh well with his more taciturn nature.
The pair adopted five children between the ages of 20 and 50. Having so many was common during the population boom following the end of the Dark Times. Jahri, his second daughter, had no Morellian genes and Davon had to go through watcher her age far quicker than he did, until she died before her seventeenth birthday.
Stahl retired from the frontlines to raise the children. Time away from home was a great strain on their relationship and they nearly separated several times after mistakes made on both sides. Over time as the children grew older they settled into a more content routine. Davon spent less time fighting and more time in a command role, before transitioning to training others later in his career.
There was some tension between his children as they became adults. It was clear to them that those who followed his footsteps more closely to a full military career for life held a greater bond with him and it was their deaths that hurt him deeply. Gandim and Jhari grew closer to Davon in the following years, but Malei was never able to see eye to eye with her father, and turned away from the Mandalorian culture. She maintains a much closer bond with Stahl.

He currently manages all operations at a plant that produces a huge quality of starship parts and employs seven thousand people. Now owned by an intergalactic corporation he chafes under the new management. They see an old war dog stuffed into a suit, he sees spoilt children who keep trying to force the working language to be basic despite mandalorian having been the main language of the content for a millennia.
However, the emergence of the Death Watch and their string of victories that forces the United Clans back to just Mandalore and the surrounding systems is about to change his life again.
