Dastardly Larceny

YO LISTEN UP HERE IS A STORY
I have an idea.

As it currently stands the Black Empire is a relatively small and clandestine organization that so far has participated in some subterfuge and terrorist activity. But the Empire basically consists of the Pacanth Reach, some Sith Lords, and rogue Imperials. I can't imagine that our wealth is all too amazing when it's basically Panatha's treasury and the personal finances of some bumfeth Sith Lords.

So let's go acquire us some newfound wealth, let's collect some resources for our blossoming organization. I task you all with researching some of the richest planets within the Star Wars galaxy currently uncontrolled by any major faction, and then once a decent grocery list as been compiled I will personally lead you on a mission of grand larceny to strip entire star systems of their wealth down to the last drop.

And murder and mayhem might be included.

Maybe.

If I'm in a good mood.

Why limit ourselves to just unaffiliated planets? The One Sith is practically dead, we could go to a planet or two of theirs and take a bunch of money as well as hijack and steal a bunch of their ships and vehicles. We could also offer all One Sith troops an opportunity to turn coat and join the Black Empire as soldiers under a new banner.

But I like the idea. Let's go get us some moniez.

How about a raid on coruscant, it has lot charitable money coming in, and we all know charity starts at home.
Though it could be a raid on the only supply line to the planet, where all the food money and everything else to support the GA has to go through, until the one sith are officially toast.

Work has taken its toll on me - but hopefully the worst of the season is over and I'll be able to come back on a more aggressive basis.

I would advise taking key worlds that interrupt trade between portions of factions, build intermediary posts and charge through the nose for passage and docking. I'll compile a list of recommendations.

Ilum: Lightsaber crystals
Yinchorr: Legacy of the Empire - training facilities of The Squall, good for the creation of elite guards and commando units.
Carida: former Imperial training facility and docking station. Again good for training and soldier development.
Galantos: Chromite Deposits
Atrisia: Warrior race - reminiscent of Sun Tzu. Again, army training boost.
Abregado-Rae - major shipping and piracy hub. Just on the outskirts of the Rimma Trade Route - a perfect staging ground to cut Coruscant off from the heart of their territory during wartimes
AUR: Not located on the map, but canon from the StarWars.com Essential Atlas: Eleven orbital positions, positions 9 and 10 are diamonds the size of planets. Located near Phu, in the heart of unclaimed space
Ord Canfre: former Confederate munitions depot
Brentall IV: Intersection of Perlemian and Hydian trade routes.
Donovia: Mining world. Located between the 'southeastern' forks of our current territory
Colla IV: Former droid starfighter/droideka manufacturing
Ailon: Fortress planet. Perfect bastion against our enemies to the south.
Teyr: Tourist Trap
Valc VII: Fortress World
Anobis: Mining/Agriculture

Items in bold are my personal starting recommendations, though I would advise eventual conquest of all listed systems thus far, for the reasons described.

Until our company is up to snuff we can't really field large fleets (or any at all, really), which is why we're focusing on some low key shenanigans at first until we get to that point.

Love the list, we'll focus on the bold planets first.

Don't forget that ownership of Kuat gives us a substantial income, not to mention a vast reduction in the cost of building ships. I can set up a storyline that gives at least one full building sector to The One for the purposes of fleet construction... possibly for the moderate outlay of paying the maintenance on planetary defense. We also have the yards of Bilbringi that I can incorporate into my construction lines.

We should consolidate the space between the 'arms' of our territory, work towards filling our map with solid color. Vital to our leadership's survival is taking the corridor owned by Mandalorian clans, specifically Myrkr. Simple negotiation may prove sufficient, or trial by combat for system ownership and cutting them from the Alderaan Monument. This will allow us to cut off any assistance to them from the galaxy, should battle break out between the Mandalorian Clans and the self-described Mandalorian Empire. Of course, the Mando'a are not known for their fleet prowess, so an active engagement in space superiority might prove most effective... and worse comes to worst, a Base Delta Zero operation on Myrkr would not go amiss.

Of other interest is taking Dulvoyinn from the hands of the Alliance. Giving them a direct route through our territory to Coruscant, which is atrociously close to our Capital of Pantolomin, is not something I can allow to stand in good conscience.

until we can consolidate our borders and begin expanding aggressively, I would advise moving our capital to somewhere a little more out of reach. Iridonia would be a poetically apt location, provided we gave outself some buffer by taking Ord Mantell. In the immediate future, however, Redoubt is unquestioningly our best option - a natural fortress, away from our contested borders, with flora and fauna alike to stymie any land assault.

Just so you know, we are not a major faction and can not actually own territory. The purpose of these raids is to line our coffers with a little more gold, not necessarily galactic conquest (yet).

And I'm fairly sure [member="Darth Carnifex"] would rather die than move our main base of operations somewhere else besides his beloved Panatha.

Territory is territory, owned or not. Our sphere of influence will not be limited by mere politics.

I can start bringing systems into our influence on the manufacturing side. I'll research mining, smelting, transportation, and construction systems and start networking them to Kuat. When we're ready to make our presence known, we will have a solid manufacturing and cash base to start from.
